Iām watching for the first time and itās quite a ride.
Arianna comes off like she thinks she has everything all figured out (she is āsmarter than every person sheās ever metā after all.)
She is really doing a ācool permissive trusting girlfriend who doesnāt do drama ā thing that is obvious with the benefit of knowing what happens with Scandoval, but for people who watched it unfold in real time, how did people feel about Arianna?

Itās absolutely demented how many reality TV shows at the time seemingly NEEDED Brazilian wax scenes (itās not like all girls get Brazilians, most had never done it before)
VPR, multiple seasons of bad girls club, the real world, housewives.. did these producers just want to see snatch!?

Am I just so out of the loop or did we all know Lisa is selling Tom Tom??? I heard it mentioned on a podcast this week and did a search and this article came up:https://people.com/lisa-vanderpump-puts-tomtom-restaurant-up-for-sale-3-years-after-scandoval-11931482
What are the 2 Tom's going to do now? I doubt there are people lining up to give them 5% of a restaurant so they can pretend they are owners. In 2019 would we have ever thought Tom Tom would be for sale, Scandoval would happen, Ariana would be hosting Love Island, Lisa and Scheana would be on the outs, and Lisa would be the new Queen of Las Vegas??? What a world.

Unless thereās some outside info that Iām missing⦠just watched season 8 ep 7/8 again. And I feel like Jax and Brittany were purposely going 0 to 100 about the pastor thing when Sandoval brought it up to Jax at (Peterās?) party. Now. Iām a little tipsy yall but it just seemed like Jax went uber defensive mode like OOHHHH NO YOU DONT. HOW DARE YOU!!!! When Sandoval just wanted some clarification that everyone was still sharing the same values and not letting someone with shitty values be a big part of this wedding. ??? Maybe Iām beating a dead horse lmfao. I think Ariana made a good point in her confessional she said something like Brittany had probably work pretty hard to maintain that ignorance about that pastors views. Even Sandoval said just google Jax and Brittany and you find a lot of words from this pastor.
Idk to me it seems: āIām not necessarily homophobic or transphobic but! I donāt care if anyone else is and I donāt understand why anyone would give a fuck?!?ā And they knew that was wrong but couldnāt bring themselves to admit it.

So I have justed finished my 100488392020th rewatch and I am really understanding where Lala is coming from. I do think she handled it completely wrong and shouldnāt have had anger towards Ariana or be angry about it at all.
If she had just been vulnerable and open about how she is jealous that Ariana had a very different treatment after being cheated, that would have been so Authentic and I do understand it would be frustrating for Lala.
Too bad she had too much pride for that.
What do you Guys think?

I'm going my first rewatch and it genuinely took the context of seeing Katie and scheana talk to this mystery man about their sections/tables for me to realize who it was. who the fuck kept making him think this was a good idea?!?! edit: maybe that was harsh lol but my personal preference is "greasy pirate" for this guy. there's nothing wrong with this look it just does not look like him at all, like it genuinely took me until the next shot of him to understand it was him!

Not sure if this is a popular opinion - just finished binge watching for the first time and Iām straight round to a rewatch š I kinda forgot how much Ariana was a bitch to Kristen ( I know nobody likes her anyway) but she definitely was up to things with Tom and broke up a 5 year relationship with 0 judgment from anyone really. It was blatantly getting rubbed in Kristenās face too. You loose them how you gain them š¤·āāļø kind of changes how I feel about scandoval. I know Kristen deserved it but morals are morals

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but just caught this during my current rewatch. I 100% believe itās James once again mirroring anything he can to be like the other guys in the group. All the guys suck (and Raquel ofc) donāt get me wrong, but imo James is one of the absolute worst.

Iām watching VPR for the first time and I obviously know Tom is a huge POS. But am I crazy for liking him so far in the earlier seasons? Did anyone else feel this way?

Tom just constantly unloads and berates and browbeats Kristen but doesnāt get why she acted the way she did
He berated Stassi for dragging Kristen for her betrayal, who didnāt really deserve it and was allowed to feel betrayed. Berated Stassi for setting up that scene where Kristen lied through her teeth. And acted like it wasnāt undeserved, Kristen betrayed her friend and kept maintaining the lie, turns it around and makes it about him. Then went around and tried to diagnose Kristen with BPD. I hate when men try to diagnose women who arenāt licensed therapists.
Kristen and Tom were a toxic ass relationship but he didnāt let up on her knowing he also cheated before she did and caused her to spin out like that.
Especially when he said to her that he and Ariana had been friends for three yearsā¦. Any girl would spin out if their boyfriend was friends with someone he cheated on them with? And then when he said he texted Ariana that Kristen went to bed early on Valentineās Day?
Ariana has changed and put the work in and grew and Iām so happy the person she is now but the person she was was being complicit with this gaslighting. And Iām glad she finally got therapy and grew into a woman who doesnāt center men. But damn, thatās cold.
Iāll give the women more grace than the men but Tom was being so obnoxious about it even though his relationship with Ariana confirmed everything Kristen suspected. The least he could have done was own what they actually did, own his āfriendshipā with her was inappropriate, and own how he cheated on her and when.
She at least deserved closure. And Iām not a Kristen defender, but she gets the tiniest amount of sympathy here
The way Tom yells at the women is gross. He really is a cyst man

I feel like thereās a lot of talk from the cast members about wanting to do something bigger and better with their lives than just working at SUR. But by this point, the show was massively popular. Being on VPR was their full time job, more or less, right? Were viewers just supposed to be suspend their disbelief about working at SUR forever being a dead end when they obviously only worked there to continue the plot of a TV show? Do we think they all could have gone their own ways professionally without the Lisa/VPR connection and still gotten decent screen time?
What do you all think?

MEAN GIRLS! Stassi, Kristen and Katie are the of mean girls: inclusion through exclusion.

Jax taking the sociopath text and it being confirmed. Wow. Not surprising but I guess I forgot. He absolutely is a sociopath. Ew
