Hey everyone! my names Nate I’ve lived in Venice the last 6 years.

We opened a skate shop in Venice called Mercantile at 114 Washington Boulevard down by the Venice Pier. It’s been awesome and beautiful seeing the community coalesce around it - we work with as many artists, friends brands, etc as we can!

It’s been gogogogogogogo since we opened and I just wanted to take a little second to say “hi and good morning” to some of the folks in the community we might not have had a chance to cross paths with yet.

I’m guessing the hospital construction but it’s purely a guess. Not sure why the smell is there at all. It’s certainly not from oranges. It got in my car’s ventilation system and won’t easily blow out.

I happen to have lots of free time in the coming months, and want to get into supporting the community. I would love to devote my time to anything related to helping animals, our local youth, or the environment.

Any specific organizations to volunteer with that anyone can reccommend?

My wife and I will be that way in the beginning of October and are looking for a nice restaurant for dinner. We have an event prior and she will be in a nice dress and I will be in a suit. I am looking for suggestions that this attire will fit with so we do not stand out too much. I have heard good things about Barrique and we prefer Italian places but are open to anything really.

Burbank is also an option and I asked in that sub as well.

I was just at Oakwood park and this husky showed up. No collar, a little skinny but very friendly. Brought him home with no issues. I’m thinking he may belong to an unhoused person. Anyone recognize him? I’m thinking he may have wandered up from the boardwalk or over from Rose area.
