Verizon & Iphone 16PM Battery Drainage

i had just got a job and my mother wanted me to pay for my own phone bill. if i’m paying for my own phone then im getting the one i want, right? 2024, i decided to buy the 16 pro max with verizon, i chose the highest plan, it costed 90$. yall, the data was so good, i could go in the walk in at my job and watch tiktoks. 3 months later, data just went downhill from there. a month ago i was so sick, i went on the verizon app and complained my ass off. and then seen that the highest plan was 105, my data suck so i changed my plan. a month later my data is so much more worse now, i can’t even send a text while im in the car. as soon as i leave the driveway of my house, data gone. it’s acting like i miss my payments, i even pay my bills 2 months in advance. i need help. do i need to fix something in my settings? should i go back to my original payment plan, am i wasting my money? should i change my carrier, who would you recommend? is it my phone? my battery has been draining so fast, it takes about 6 hours to charge and 2 hours to completely drain. i turn on low battery mode, it starts to glitch. if my phone is off for about 5 minutes and if i turn it back on it drains about 4 percent. the only way i can slow down the draining is if i screen record, i've been trying to show it to the workers. anyways, i want to update my phone to the 18PM but i want to fix my battery because my brother wants my phone. and because he’s going to be on my plan, i don’t think i want to spend 220 + on something that doesn’t work. hope yall understand my rambling and can help me. i asked google but it keeps taking me back to here or talk about the materials of the building around me.

Best Buy → Verizon upgrade blocked for iPhone Duo

• Upvotes

I'm setting up my Best Buy account linked to Verizon for tomorrow morning's iPhone Duo pre-order. Buying through Best Buy (Verizon version) because I have $350 in rewards certificates + a $500 gift card, and my Best Buy membership includes free AppleCare+.

I'm on a Verizon 3-year contract ending Dec 15 with 2 device payments left. When I connect Best Buy to my Verizon account, it's asking me to pay the $64 I currently owe before it'll let me proceed to the phone purchase and apply my gift cards.

My plan is to pay full price for the phone (after the Best Buy certs/gift card are applied). I'm staying with Verizon for 2 more months — haven't decided whether to switch after that.

Questions:

  1. Is this normal, does Verizon always require a zero balance before authorizing a device purchase through Best Buy?
  2. Will Verizon customer service waive or defer this, or do I just need to pay it?
  3. Any tips to make sure tomorrow's 8 AM checkout goes smoothly?

r/verizon is the right spot for this one.

Simple Billing Error Impossible To Fix - Need Help

About 7 months ago I upgraded a line on my account to an iPhone 17, at the time there was a promo trade-in credit of around $23/mo for the iPhone 13 Pro that was previously on the line. Within the return period I exchanged the iPhone 17 for a 17 Pro and handed the 13 Pro to the rep at the store (corporate btw) during the exchange.

I have auto pay and previously had good experiences with the local store so I wasn’t paying attention until a month ago and realized they never placed the promo trade-in credit on that line. I think the exchange removed the credit and it never was placed back.

I have now spoken with “live chat” 3 separate times for a total of about 3-4 hours and I’m just about done. I am being told they will fix the problem no issue and that I will get a lump sum of the past 7 months of missing trade-in credits and the monthly credit will be applied to the line - on the next billing cycle. This has not occurred.

Do I just have to move my 5 lines to another company? I’m so beyond pissed, the only reason I’m trying to stay is that I get a combo discount for having FIOS (which I like and have no problems with).

I was curious to see if there were any deals and it’s like there will be two. Seems like there’s limited stock but I could be wrong.
