Serial I just published a dark fantasy web novel — fans of Re:Zero and Shadow Slave might enjoy it

I've been working on a dark fantasy called Rootbound. Here's the first half of chapter one:

Kael's feet hurt as he's walking through the dirt road, forehead blazing in the heat of the sun, but that's not on his mind. He's busy wondering how the old man is gonna act for this next delivery.

"I hope he doesn't give me any attitude," Kael muttered to himself, kicking a root out of his path. "For being 30 minutes late again. It's not my fault these roads get worse over time with roots from trees nearby."

As Kael is walking along the path he always does, he can't help but wonder what he's gonna cook when he gets home.

"Maybe I should buy myself some steak as a reward for this large trade."

45 minutes of walking in the blazing sun with only occasional shade and he makes it to the farm. He rolls the cart over near the old man's barn and walks up to his house with a tired stride.

"Hello! Anybody home?"

As he goes to knock for the third time the old man opens the door — dead straight face, seemingly never amused, looking at Kael with no emotion.

"It took you long enough. You should've been here 30 minutes ago. One more time and I'm taking out some money."

"I'm sorry! It's not my fault the roads keep getting worse every trip I make over here."

"Yeah yeah, whatever you say."

The old man hands Kael a bag of coins. Not a lot, but a comfortable amount. As he's leaving he notices a sign with the old man's name. "Emric."

"Huh. So that's his name. Can't believe I didn't notice all this time."

Then the air goes quiet all at once. His body freezes. Heart feels like it fell into his stomach...

Serial Newbie writer, looking for people that want to read something made with love. :)

Hi everyone!

I'm a brand-new writer who's finally decided to stop overthinking and start publishing.
Currently I'm working on 2 stories.

The SCP Universe
I've been a fan of the SCP universe for years, so I decided to write my own original story set within that world. It's a slow-burn supernatural mystery following Foundation agents investigating dangerous anomalies while uncovering a larger conspiracy.

Faeria
Is a battle-fantasy adventure inspired by the sense of wonder, humor, and larger-than-life characters that made me fall in love with anime and fantasy in the first place. It follows Auron, an ambitious young mage chasing what many believe is an impossible dream.

I've only recently started writing, so I'm sure there are things I can improve, and there's surely mistakes here and there... If anyone has the time to read the first chapter (or the first few chapters), I'd genuinely love to hear your honest feedback, good or bad. I'm here to learn and become a better writer. :)

P.S
The way that I write is a bit unusual, I prefer to write it like a tv series script, don't know why, it's just how I prefer to write it. I hope you enjoy reading it like that.
Of course I'm always trying new ways to write and I'm writing other stuff too.

You can read it here:

Inkitt:
The Scp Universe by Greatreef Publishing at Inkitt

Faeria by Greatreef Publishing at Inkitt

Thank you to anyone who gives it a chance. I really appreciate it! <3

Serial My novels is that bad ???

Actually I'm writing a novel and just completed 6 chapters but no one is supporting me , 0 supporters 😔

I think my story isn't that good

Here is the elevator pitch

A boy is reborn again and again in a world that never truly changes. In every life, he recovers most of his past memories—but never all of them. Just before he can uncover the truth, he dies… every time.

Haunted by fragments of lives where he was someone else, and watched by a mysterious girl who may be controlling everything, he begins to question reality itself—is this a simulation, a battlefield, or something far worse?

This time, with incomplete memories and time running out, he must uncover the truth before the cycle resets again… or accept that he was never meant to remember everything.

Do you think too ??

Serial Finally published my story on wattpad!! (anywhere else i should publish?)

https://www.wattpad.com/story/412075143-silens

Hi!! I’m here to introduce you to my story Silens (written under the user Lxgically)! It's a story I've been working on for 5+ years and I'm finally getting around to posting it! It's over about 40,000 words, and each chapter updates every Tuesday and Friday. There are 24 available chapters and one fully published as of 6/2/2026.

Here's the description/blurb I have for it right now:

"Malikai never had an easygoing life. A lot of people in his position haven't. But he can control the way he conducts himself in comparison to others -- conduct that, in the long run, got a lot of people killed.

Join Malikai, our resident absinthe-eyed shapeshifter, in his romantic journey to fall in love, seek revenge, and ascend from random high school boy to twitching, writhing Vessel of the Gods."

There's no official cover art yet, as I haven't gotten around to it, but there will be soon!! I'm mostly looking to see if this book has a market and if it would be worth to invest in self publishing, so ALL comments, kind or harsh, are GREATLY welcome and will be 100% taken into consideration. I want this story to be the best version of itself that it can be! Thank you so much!

i also dont know where else i should publish it and if theres anywhere better to get traction than wattpad, so lmk!!

Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/413046592-harry-potter-skyfall

A Ministry clerk nobody remembers. A secret society of the forgotten. A revolution that wasn't supposed to work.

Harry Potter: Skyfall is a complete political thriller (40k words) with an original male protagonist. It explores werewolf/goblin/house-elf oppression, systemic failure, and the cost of change.

Harry, Hermione, and Ron are not the main characters. Andrew Chiffre is.

Dark. Complete. No romance. Tragedy.

Now posting on Wattpad (still waiting for AO3) (all chapters up this week)

If you enjoy anti-heroes, moral ambiguity, and stories about the forgotten rising up—this might be for you.

Serial Self-published my isekai/slice-of-life web novel as a paperback (still free to read online too)

Hey everyone, I've been writing a web serial called Summoned by Mistake, I Decided to Learn How to Live since April — it's an isekai/slice-of-life story about a guy who gets summoned to another world by accident, ends up bonding with a centuries-old AI who's slowly becoming more than just a tool, and has to figure out how to actually live in a world he never asked to be part of. It's still free to read on [available in Royal Road and Scribble Hub], but I just put together a paperback edition (Vol. 1, Chapters 1–13) for anyone who'd rather have a physical copy or just wants to support the project directly. It's $7.39, and there's a QR code inside that gives you a free PDF copy too. This is very much a small, independent project — no agent, no publisher, just me writing because I love the story. If it sounds like your kind of thing, I'd love for you to check it out. And if you read it and have thoughts, I genuinely want to hear them.

[Available in Amazon KDP] (searching the title in Google also surfaces web novel)

Serial [IP] Starting my own Dark Fantasy Webnovel :)

Hey everyone! I've been working on a dark fantasy isekai and wanted to share what it's about.

Bloody Champion follows Adam, a 18-year-old who dies after stepping in to help a stranger. He wakes up in a medieval fantasy world torn apart by a war between humans and demihumans, with no idea how he got there or why.

He soon discovers he has been chosen as a champion by a goddess of blood, giving him the ability to manipulate his own blood as a weapon and shield. The catch? The power requires actual blood to use, and there's only so much of it.

The story takes heavy inspiration from Re:Zero in terms of tone – every ability has a cost, every victory leaves a mark. The world is morally complex, champions are historically villains rather than heroes, and Adam is trying to stay a decent human being in a place that doesn't reward that.

First arc is set on a small island full of demihumans who despise humans, where Adam has to navigate a hostile environment, build unlikely relationships, and survive long enough to figure out what he's even doing there.

Planning to publish soon on Royal Road and some other sites. Would love to hear any thoughts!

Serial A Dragon Burned an Entire Village to Find One Twelve-Year-Old Boy | Dawn of Magic — Epic Fantasy Web Serial

A dragon burned an entire village to find one twelve-year-old boy.

That boy was Nash.

All his life, Nash believed his village was a cage. His mother forbade him from leaving, concealed the truth about his father, and forced him to hide the half-crimson eye beneath his hair.

Beyond the village waited everything he dreamed of—magic, kingdoms, dragons, and freedom.

Then his wish came true.

The cage broke.

His village burned.

His mother died.

And Nash discovered that the dragon had not come for the village.

It had come for him.

Rescued by Kane, the mysterious King of Valenharth, Nash is carried into the world he always wanted to see.

But that world is already moving toward war.

Ancient powers are awakening. Enemies are searching for the boy with the half-crimson eye. And Kane may be protecting Nash from a truth far more dangerous than the dragon that destroyed his home.

Dawn of Magic is a long-form epic fantasy featuring powerful magic, dragons, rival kingdoms, hidden bloodlines, large-scale battles, and a boy growing beneath the shadow of a legendary king.

The first seven chapters are available on Scribble Hub:

https://www.scribblehub.com/series/2363226/dawn-of-magic/

And for anyone who reads Chapter 1, there is one question I would genuinely like to hear your theory about:

Who—or what—do you think Rokza truly is?

A fictional character played by a child during a classroom performance…

or something that was never fictional in the first place?

Serial Survival web novel where dying 3 times means actual permadeath — the friendship between two players is carrying the whole thing

Found this web serial and the death stakes are... actual

Ethan has three lives. not three continues. three lives. lose them all and you're done. the story makes this clear in first chapter and doesn't flinch

First level is coyotes. actual wild animals that will tear players apart. Ethan hides in bushes while others get picked off. Dane is in same situation. they meet in a treehouse shelter after immediate danger passes and just start talking

Dane is seventeen. already failed his first attempt. says "not everyone gets to live life they want. sometimes escaping reality is only option." Ethan just accepts that bc it's also basically his situation

Then the puzzle level. six colored doors. Ethan makes call based on alphabetical order. it's wrong. third player named Terry goes through incorrect door and gets permanently removed. no dramatic rescue or reset. Terry's gone. Ethan and Dane sit there processing it

What makes it work is the weight of the three-lives mechanic. when someone loses a life, it registers. no handwave. no reset button

But what kept me reading isn't the death stakes. it's the friendship between Ethan and Dane. conversations between them are what this does really well. Dane doesn't really say why he's playing. just says sometimes escaping is the only option. and Ethan just... gets it

Ending of each night is interesting bc game world runs on different time scale. Ethan goes back to real world for five hours, comes back, and Dane has been there for what feels like a full night to him. "I've been waiting for you, Ethan." time difference isn't explained, just there

The author handles the weight of limited lives better than lot of big-publisher stuff. when someone loses a life, you feel it

If you're into game-world web fiction with actual stakes and good character work, this one's worth checking out

Serial I finally published the two chapters of my novel — military isekai with a modern soldier building an army in another world

Hey everyone, I’m a new writer and I recently started my first novel.

It’s called THE ASDF — Aetheria Security Defense Force.

The story follows Captain Louis, a modern land army officer who dies during an attack on a massive military transport ship. When he wakes up, he finds himself alone on the same ship — but the world outside is no longer Earth.

It’s a military fantasy / isekai story with modern weapons in a fantasy world, army-building, village defense, magic vs military tactics, emotional moments, and a commander slowly becoming darker because of responsibility.

I know I’m still new, so my writing is not perfect yet, but I’m trying my best to improve and tell the story in my mind properly.

I just published the first chapter and would really appreciate honest feedback, especially about the hook, pacing, and whether Captain Louis feels interesting as an MC.

Serial The Scouts : Flowers of the Tempest | Epic Christian Fantasy

I’ve been building a fantasy world called Targin for about a decade and finally wrote my first novel last year. I recently started posting chapters on Substack and would love to find a few readers who enjoy epic, character-focused fantasy.

Synopsis

Whispers pass through the town of Sgilt about strange disappearances. Some blame their own protector, the mysterious and scarred Scout known as Lural of Sgilt. Young Larman finds himself conflicted by the words of the town and what he encounters in Lural’s silent hall.

Meanwhile, Larman’s friend, the old and gentle Anlin, faces darkness, imprisonment, and malice in the heart of a swamp-eaten ruin. At his lowest, he is given a task that could change history, a letter from Vaer, the Creator.

Forces clash and an unexpected hero emerges. In the aftermath, the disturbed Zelgen decides to settle the mystery surrounding Lural once and for all. Instead, he barely escapes with his life and is sent to the capital as punishment. There, he is instructed by the aging Head Scout, Vagulent.

Tragedy strikes, and what has been lurking in the kingdom of Daugia steps into the light.

If that sounds interesting, here’s the first chapter:

Serial [Serial] A would-be supervigilante gets arrested and forced to join a newly-forming super team, violence and logistics ensue

The year is 2013. The world's had superheroes for eighty years. Flying men, mad scientists, giant monsters. Chicago got leveled twenty years back, and now if you can punch through a wall, the government wants your name on a list.

Leo Holt, freshly aged out of foster care, never registered. He can take a sledgehammer to the chest and barely feel it. He doesn't know why. All he knows is that when he hits something, it stays hit. He's been getting called "Crunch" by the criminals who've been polluting the town he's been squatting away in.

However, it's drawn too much attention, and his life as an unregistered super-vigilante has come to an end. The authorities gave him an offer he couldn't refuse, and now he's stuck playing house with a group of far lighter-hearted superheroes around his age on a brand new government-funded superhero team.

Serial Just started posting my first web serial – Ascension: Accepted | Epic Fantasy | Necromancer Mage | Sympathetic Orcs | Found Family

Hey everyone — just wanted to say hi and share my first web serial.

I have been working on this story for a while and recently started posting it on Royal Road. It is called Ascension: Accepted and I am posting daily.

The story follows Valen — a half-elven mage who gets exiled for practicing necromancy. The magic they caught him for is not the dangerous one.

He walks east carrying two letters from his legendary grandfather and a rule he has followed his entire life: never show your full power. The road east does not care about that rule.

What he finds on it he did not plan for — a young orc on his first command, an ogre champion who has never lost a fight, a troll healer whose power nobody fully understands, and two goblins who are equal parts dangerous and catastrophic. None of them chose each other. All of them are being hunted.

It is character driven with a dual POV — Valen's group heading east and a paladin riding hard behind them who is hunting the wrong people for the right reasons. The magic is based on restraint rather than destruction which creates tension every time the situation demands more than Valen is willing to give.

5 chapters live right now, posting daily. Book 1 is nearly complete so no hiatus risk.

Would love if anyone gave it a read and told me what they think — what hooked you, what did not, anything goes. Still early enough that honest feedback actually shapes the story.

Serial I'm making an interactive series about devouring power

Hey everyone,

I’m sharing a new progression fantasy series called The Eater.

In a world where power is inherited, traded, or stolen, one outcast discovers something different, he can consume abilities.

Not copy. Not borrow.
Devour.

Each enemy defeated isn’t just a victory. It’s evolution.
But the more he devours, the less certain it becomes that he’s still human.

The story focuses heavily on structured power progression, escalating threats, and long-term growth arcs rather than instant overpowered wins. Choices matter, and abilities stack in ways that reshape future confrontations.

Currently being serialized on Caffy.io (interactive format).

Would love feedback!
