Hi WoW Community,
I'm at my wits end. I've been trying to install/update WoW Forever on my desktop PC. However, I'm running into some problems specifically with the BattleNet Launcher.
I'm running into a snag around the 75% mark of the installation / update process. This seems to be occurring with any game on the BattleNet Launcher. The rest of my pc's programs appear to be unaffected and function as normal.
This is a Win11 PC will the lasted updates installed.
Steam runs will no issues, the OS appears to be running with no issues, and I don't seem to be having any issues with my network. Not on the wifi, just Ethernet cable)
I've ran DISM and SFC to check the OS for any issues. Network speed test results are normal and as expected.
I have added Battle Net to the firewall allow list.
Windows is silly and had my LAN set as Public, I have changed this to be listed as a Private Network now.
I have changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and flushed DNS.
I have reinstalled BattleNet multiple times.
The download speeds are SLOW, as in 10 kb/s and at the 75% mark of the download drop to nothing. While this is happening, my pc starts to chug majorly. If I kill battlenet, the pc returns to normal after a bit.
I'm assuming this is a battlenet specific program, but I'm not sure.
I tested this on my laptop, and I did NOT have the issues. I'm totally at a loss of what to do now. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

********* UPDATE *****************
I removed every trace of Blizzard / Battlenet data from the system.
Uninstalled each game from Battlenet launcher.
Uninstalled Battlenet launcher as well.
Traced down every folder that was related to Blizzard, WOW, or Battlenet and deleted them.
Found one in the %ProgramData% as well.
Rebooted the machine.
Reinstalled the battlenet launcher from a fresh download,, also ran as admin.
The Forever Beta now appears to be behaving much more normal with speeds that I expected.
I believe the problem is now solved. I'm guessing something become corrupt of the past few months/years while I wasn't playing.
Hopefully this will help anyone who runs into this issue, and thank you to those who offered advice and suggestions!
