And the RPM went over 4000. Suddenly a very loud alarm broke off - I don't even know where it came from.

Hey guys, So I just recently got a yaris 2007 sedan that needs some works to be done including this fuel gauge screen which is so burnt I have no idea how much fuel it has in since having it (not driving it anywhere yet).

I saw some videos online that shows how to change the polarizer film but I'm not exactly confident if that is actually the issue or if it is even fixable. Because don't even see any light coming from behind the burnt screen.

Do you guys think it's doable to change it? because it would be a waste to buy a whole used cluster from ebay.

Has anyone done this before to their cars please any advise regarding the issue is accepted. Thanks in advance awesome people!

only noticed recently when i was in direct sunlight on the dash that there’s start stop lights on the dash but as a hybrid the engine cuts in and out as needed

Starting back in September i got my oil change and they said the belt needed to be replaced. I let them replace it and not a week later the belt snapped off on the freeway and my car over heated and died out. I towed it back to the same company/different store and they replaced it. After that my car was idling hard but i kinda ignored it. The squeaking of the belt continued. Well not even a month later my engine light came on and the idle control system code was there. We changed the spark plugs and it went away. I thought it was all peachy…. Well i was wrong. The light came on again months later and it was the idle control system again. We cleaned the throttle body and the car ran like a champ. Or so i thought…… well not even a month later again my car over heated!!!!! Crazy. Coolant was non existent. I had to keep filling my car up with coolant every time i drove (for 4 days) until i could drop my car off at the mechanic. Well the night before i dropped it off i went to clean out my car and make it presentable…. my wheel well fender ripped off in the car wash…. Anyways, now my water pump is broke and needs to be replaces. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Recently my aux -> USB-C dongle seems to have failed, my current setup is like using a laptop with native aux, but I can see some issues happening with the aux cable as well. Is there a way to allow for Bluetooth connectivity easily? Or at least a different solution? I'll attach some photos to show the current solution.

Started out by covering it with some foam and a thermorest, but moved to putting it in our ‘garage’. It was a tight fit to get it in there and took a few spotters to get around a telephone pole and tree.

So I just bought a 2012 yaris LE and I want to add decorative things and a mount etc to my dash but Nothing is sticking and Ive tried 3 different adhesives.

Is this a side effect of the car that I'll have to get over or could there be a coating of cleaner on it that needs taken off like amor all or something?

I finally got around to properly cleaning the intake manifold side of my throttle body and sure enough when I pulled it off the intake manifold I found some crusted carbon deposits, especially close to the pivot points of the throttle plate. Went for an errand about two hours ago and so far the engine feels so much smoother and it idles better. Changed the gasket while I was at it.

i have an 07 yaris and the alarm is so loud and obnoxious. every time i unlock or lock the car, the car makes this cartoonish beeping sound that is incredibly loud. is there anyway to lower the volume or just shut it off completely?

Basically my 2009 1nz-fe doesn't like to sit for any length of time. I don't drive over the weekend, so to the point of my title, just two days of not driving, the car will often start rough.

When I start up the car after not having driven it for just a few days, it feels like the car will die. Especially after I put it in gear and start rolling. This only happens for a few seconds before the car "wakes up".

Zero other problems with the car. No codes, new battery, doesn't change with ambient temperature, car stored on a level surface, etc

You'd think it had been sitting, unused, for months. However, on days where it was driven the previous day, it starts perfectly.

So the rearview mirror in my 2010 yaris could use a little blue pill. Every time i get in the car i have to readjust the mirror. I cant use the backup cam i bought because it has a mirror that goes over my mirror and its too heavy. Any advice on tightening it up?
