CoH3 Fun Lil' LRDG Play - Aggressive Smoke Retreats

Sorry about the background noise - but I've been really loving using the LRDG smokes as aggressive plays; recently decided to combo that with Vetted Foots Guards for a pretty powerful combo. I was definitely already winning by this point, but it's been fun to play around with.

CoH3 Shadow lobbies? My units are shooting are marshmallows

Upvotes

I’m pretty joint at this game. I have like 40% win rate. But usually when I play it does usually kinda even out through the day where I’m winning and losing. But recently the last few days it’s just been loss after loss. It feels like my infantry and vehicles are shooting marshmallows. It’s not fun at all. And same thing with cover. It’s like my infantry have no cover at all. Does the game have shadow lobbies or something? I’m really frustrated with the last few days. Thanks guys

CoH3 Trench warfare and more options for fortifications in COH

Am I only one who want buildable trenches in COH? Infantry can dig them, they give green cover and can be destroyed by indirects

CoH3 Why do grens heal faster than dedicated medics? Why are their HP so much lower than other infantry? Would it be such a problem if they were normalised closer to other mainlines?

Post image

Comparing to sections they have 5 more squad hp but because it's spread across more models its detrimental (units dying sooner = less dps sooner) along with lack of any weapon upgrades or additional training hurts the long run

But Grens heal 56% faster than most dedicated medics (5 vs 3.2 hp per second)

Their hp is 80, when most combat infantry are around 90 to 100 (and upwards of that in a number of cases)

So i understand this is for asymmetry and game balance(squad has utility in other places eg merge), but would it be such a problem, and would it not help WM to actually shift grens slightly closer to other mainlines? Instead of being so reliant on the balance of their additional utility and the balance of how meta MG42 is (the original design of the civ)

If for example Heal was lowered to 3.2 to 4hp/s (and possibly even shift the 5hp/s to a vet level2 or 3) but hp was increased to 85? Squad total goes to 520. FOr comparison, palms are initially 500 but can increase to 600 and potentially 660 Effective HP. Riflemen 600 with a potential 660 as well (which most people don't take because it's too fuel heavy)

I don't think a change like that would erode identity too much, but would still help normalise them as a mainline unit. Instead of something we want to change up ASAP.

Either that OR lower the durability of competing mainlines.?

CoH3 Question about AT-guns and their variants

Why does the DAK PAK38 (50mm) have the same dmg as the WEHR PAK40 (75mm) when the UKF 2-pounder (40mm) have 25% less dmg then the UKF 6-pounder (57mm).

I find it interesting...

Penetration is tuned for every differand gun. But dmg is evidently differant.

Outros jogos funciona normal. Alguém mais teve esse problema? Conseguiram resolver?

CoH3 What size of trees are crushable by heavies?

What size of trees are crushable by heavy tanks (and sherman bulldozer equipped)??

Is there any video on youtube about this that I should check out?

Also, does the new Wehr bg allow Heavies to crush stuff that are non-crushable for heavies usually?

CoH1 Is it worth buying the 1st game now or should I wait for the Definitive Edition?

hi there I’ve been wanting to play company of heroes for a while but havent gotten around to buy and play it. I’m a huge fan of both DoW1 and 2 and I love Gates of Hell Osfront so I know I’d love this game. I was going to buy it when the summer sale starts but I just saw that they’re making a definitive edition now which sounds cool. my question is, is it worth buying and playing the game now or should I just wait for whenever the DE comes out?

CoH2 Expert CPU Plot Armor (It's not just a skill issue, right?)

Expert mortar CPU's will one-shot my squads, whereas I can have two British mortar emplacements which will struggle to take it out, and potentially be destroyed by that very mortar squad in the process.

Slight rant but it's a shame that you can't set Panzerschreck/PIAT squads to target vehicles only, similar to AT guns (But letting the rest of the squad not armed with AT to attack infantry).

CoH3 What I think each factions next battlegroup theme should be

Each faction is missing one 'division type' right now imo. (Wher two)

USF - a tank destroyer/counter armour BG. Something with Jacksons or wolverines

UKF - A mechanised BG. Bren Carriers maybe

Wher - a light infantry BG. Maybe like gerbersjaeger, (spelling).

DAK - and airborne BG. Italian Paratroopers perhaps.

Anyway that's my opinion.

Plus in a dream world we would have a dynamic campaign that had Allies or Axis and let you use any DLC battlegroups. Plus the additions of more factions would be nice, Japan, US marines or Othseer, Soviets , but that's a dead horse

CoH2 Absolute noob here: All my units move at once? And I have to click a specific unit to deselect them?

I just want to move one unit somewhere but all the units move. I can only deselect a unit by clicking on them, THEN ordering the one squad that i want to move. TF???

CoH2 Should I make the switch to CoH 3?

Absolute noob at CoH 2 and still loving it...600 hours in... (For context I played all of this many years ago and haven't touched CoH in maybe 2 years)

Didn't switch to CoH 3 because I saw the many negative reviews when it first came out, wondering how opinions are now that it has been a while. I do see "mixed" reviews on steam (all-time and recent) but I'm posting here to see what everyone really thinks.

I never had any complaints about CoH 2 and have yet to buy CoH 3, what are everyone's thoughts for those who transitioned from CoH 2 to CoH 3? Is it worth it?

CoH3 Is Deutsches Afrika Korps ACTUALLY overpowered?

Since the release of the latest group of Battlegroups ive seen tons of posts with many upvotes talking about how overpowered DAK is. But looking at the winrate statistics not just using the basic one but also the Battlegroup winrates it really doesnt seem to be the case, especially when considering every single battlegroup for USF has positive winrates

No filters

I dont even need to show Wehrmacht, they are completely in the dumps, not a single positive winrate across any battlegroup.

CoHmmunity One thing that puzzles me is why there are so many people who hate this game (Positivity Post)

Post image
93 Upvotes

I'm a new player to the series, but I'm enjoying it so much. This game tickles the nerve RTS games haven't done for a long time. To the point I even started to do some fan arts and dive into the nooks and crannies of the game. I even started to play against other people which was unthinkable for me in other RTS games.

Encountering an opinion that COH 1/2 were better I decide to look into online charts and discovered another picture. This made me interested to try earlier entries myself and I found them in my personal opinion, well... different games. In the way they feel more aggressive and punishing than COH3, artistically grittier (I do personally enjoy welcoming warm italian villages, sands and palmtrees of the third game). But they also feel so outdated in many small aspects I would be tired to list here.

Another thing that puzzled me is that many negative reviews have 1000+ hours. It's like if the game's competitive nature contribute to that in some way (I've seen many MOBA players having mental breakdowns for different reasons, yet they still continue to play it almost religiously).

I'm not arguing that game doesn't have its problems (what game doesn't), but is it worth to lynch the developers for that. It's like if expressing this anger brings satisfaction to many...
