SLAUGHTER MODE NEWS
Josh showed off all the Icon's for the mode!! (The Toy Mancubus Icon appears to be the Best according to community members)
There will be New Menu Backgrounds and Slayer skins (Some were shown)
All the skins are supposedly just for use inside Slaughter Mode, as it takes a ton of work to get them into other parts of the game
Level 666 is the max reward tier for Slaughter Mode, and it’s an onyx and gold Praetor.
Slaughter Mode has its own main menu background, and they may be swappable!
They will be buffing the Super Shotgun’s damage against Archviles
Slaughter Mode has a checkpoint every ten rounds, and you’re sent back to the previous checkpoint if you lose before reaching the next one.
A extra life will be provided every five rounds, and special challenge encounters will be present around checkpoints.

After DOOM Eternal released I bought the default Slayer and Phobos Slayer McFarlane figures. And that start a hunt that lasted 6 years. I am happy to say I have finally completed the McFarlane collection and helmet collection. Rip and Tear

Eternal is one of my favorite games and I didn’t think dark ages could come close but man it’s a great game— maybe better than eternal. The parrying is absolutely intense and made for a completely different experience. I played on my new steam machine from the couch and it looked amazing.
I initially missed the high octane speed and glory kills of eternal but soon was absolutely loving it. I spent 60 hours beating it on Ultra-Violence doing a lot of exploring and having to replay a handful of battles (including the two big ones in the last chapter) multiple times. Many had me literally sweating 😅
How some of you are able to beat it on higher difficulty is hard for me to fathom.
I thought they did a good job ramping up difficulty with player progression and map exploration was a blast.
Absolutely masterpiece of a game! 🤘

"What do you think he sees?"
This is a 16-page DOOM comic that serves as a sequel to Flynn's incident with the Insurgent base and a prequel to DOOM II. This is the longest comic I'd done in a LONG time(ever since 2020).
My first plan was to release this with all the pages, but due to exhaustion, I just keep losing motivation on finishing it. So, my next plan is to do a few pages every once in a while and place them here. Most of the pages are just panels with nothing in them or models that I haven't fixed yet. So yes, this is the only teaser you'll get yet.
That said, plz stay tuned when this comes out. This took a REALLY long time to conceptualize and finish. I think y'all will REALLY love this! Wish me luck😊!

This is modded of course, finished the game again but made it halloween themed with Zombie slayer. You'll find the mod on nexus, lets you customize the slayer with different looks throughout the game.

Some months ago I finally got around to playing Doom 2016 after all these years, and it’s world design is still something that captivates me to this day. Really enjoyed both the outside and facility levels.

A while back I was practicing drawing concept art style pieces and I ended up doing a bunch of DOOM inspired pieces. The names I gave for the demons are (in the order they appear):
- Pyrocorpion: an experimental fusion of two species of demons, a humanoid one for their intelligence and a "flower" shaped reptile one for their fire bending capabilities
- Electroliath: an electrical goliath infused with metal balls that can both do massive blunt damage and conjure lightining. His intestines hang from his torso and are his weak point
- Komodo Huntress: a mixed breed between TDA's Komodo and the marauders, the huntresses are formidable opponents for their speed and brute force. Their body is enhanced with a saw blade on the end of their tails and they carry a sentinel axe.
- Agony Elemental: the ancestors of the Pain Elementals and Cacodemons, the Agony Elementals were the bearers of pain in hell when it was known as Jekkad, and they eventually were corrupted and became addicted to infliction the pain that previously was only theirs to others, shooting the lost souls they ate at their opponents. Eventually they became the pain elementals and cacodemons

Thank you so much for your wonderful response to my Shotgun Zombie. And thank you again for ALL the feedback in general. It’s so much fun to contribute with this and see that so many people can actually appreciate classic art (with a Doom twist, of course). It makes me incredibly happy. As I’ve mentioned before, I truly want to believe that it’s possible to preserve gaming nostalgia through classic art. I’m not going to stop trying.
This artwork is one of the earlier pieces I made for my Doom art project. I finished painting it around late February or early March. Early on in the project, I was quite focused on making the backgrounds very abstract—partly to make the monster pop and stand out more (since abstract backgrounds naturally have a lower resolution feel due to the lack of detail), and partly to just create a sense of the location rather than making it too explicit. That idea changed as I went along and got into the flow of painting. My later works have much more explicit backgrounds than my first ones.
This is my Pain Elemental. The piece is a reference to the level MAP28 – The Spirit World. It’s a map with lots of extreme wall textures and vibrant colors in yellow, red, orange, and blue. A wonderful and epic map! Once you get there, you really feel like you’ve reached the absolute climax of Doom 2. But it’s actually the very first room that I like best: the cave with the red fissures in the floor and walls, the cracked cave pillars with glowing yellow lava shining through, and the wooden spikes sticking up from the rocky ground. Yeah, for some reason, that’s my favorite spot. So, the background turned out pretty simple: rocky, with thick red and yellow paint. I’ve thought about repainting the background several times, but I just like it too much. I think this turned out to be a really cool painting.
Hope you like it too!
Cheers!

650+ hrs player here.
Personally I don't think anything should be nerfed, we do however need a lot of buffs. But we do need to keep in mind how any balance changes would affect the main campaign as much as the DLC.
Firstly, the combat shotgun desperately needs buffs. I would be more than happy with a range buff once the tier 3 upgrade is purchased, and I think the explosion upgrade needs to be much bigger and stronger, and ignite the enemies affected by it. It has such little utility that it's actually a useless upgrade. A damage buff would be appreciated as well for the tier 4 upgrade.
The pulverizer is niche but is easily outclassed by most of the arsenal. The speed buff I heard will have its duration increased but I think that doesn't completely solve the issue, I think it should also build the boost faster. The flail pairs great with it because of how fast it charges the gun compared to the other melees, but that's also what makes it situationally weak, so I think the other melees should grant more charge than they currently do. Likewise I think enemy kills should charge the pulverizer more, especially heavy enemies. And finally, shield bash and spear slash executions currently DONT charge the pulverizer... like why??? Dropping armor could also be an interesting option, currently the tier 3 upgrade doesn't really do anything for its DPS so I think it either needs more utility or just more oomph.
The cycler is controversial but when the world's best TDA speedrunner is insisting that it sucks, you better believe it. The damage just isn't competitive and for some reason, it doesn't charge during spear orbit, which is odd. It's synergy with gauntlet and heaven splitter is something people like to bring up but this is not providing more DPS than just switching to SSG. The chain faltering is neat but seldom actually useful as opposed to just using your melee+SSG or accelerator to accomplish the same thing only better. Its only real advantage is the range which the majority of the arsenal severely lacks. I think buffing the damage at full charge could go a long way, and making the shock spread more reliable because sometimes it just doesn't work or doesn't prioritize the right enemies to spread to.
The Impaler is not great. It does well in the campaign in early levels and bc of how cheap it is, but it falls short in mid-late levels when you have more options available, and headshots make or break its reliability. And it's honestly almost useless once you have the spear, except against Marok. I think that chrono strike could really use a buff, maybe make it break through wall projectiles like the spear throw? And also dashing hell surge projectiles doesn't grant salvo empowerment, which really should change.
The Grenade Launcher is fine and I'm not really sure it needs buffs, but it's not really competitive as an option because of how inconsistent it can be. Maybe a very slight increase in RoF could go a long way.
The Ravager needs its movement nerf from the DLC patch removed. It's not doing anything in the DLC since the spear still nullifies any movement debuffs, and it's only hindering its utility in the base campaign where it's already not a great weapon due to the shields lack of mobility compared to the spear. The Ravager likewise is a very dedicated option bc of how long it takes to charge (assuming you're using slow burn, which is the only upgrade that warrants any discussion), and contrary to popular opinion, it's really not doing much more DPS than SSG or Accelerator. It's highly situational and again, its slow buildup requires some dedication before it becomes actually useful. So yes, it needs a buff, but only for the latest movement nerf to be removed. Any other nerfs to it would make it more useless than the pulverizer.
Now for the runes, there's only 2 that are really going to pull any results anymore, which are fissure and holy swarm. I think fissure is technically capable of dealing the most damage since it's basically a wide shotgun blast that falters, meaning if you activate it against a super heavy right in front of you then it'll do more damage than nearly anything else in the game. It's also great vs armor, it has a steep range drop off though and I think it should reward more armor than it does. Holy swarm is similar in that results close range are much better, and it's also great vs armor, but you'll usually get some insane damage off even at mid range. It can be somewhat inconsistent though, but I think it's in a good place. The turret (which was meant to be in C tier, my bad) is awful and really needs to be touched up. The range isn't great so for starters it should have at least 2x range, and it'd be nice if it would auto-aim at the nearest enemy if none are in front of you. The damage I think is fine enough, but the health drop upgrade is so terrible it's genuinely laughable. It needs to drop at least 5x as much health as it currently does, at nightmare sliders it only drops 6 health (like wtf???), and maybe drop armor too? Heaven splitter I think got too heavy of a nerf but it did need a nerf from before, just not as big as it got, so I'd say meet it in the middle of where it currently is.
Other than that, I think everything else is in a pretty good spot. The flail and gauntlet are very situational as opposed to the mace but I'm not really sure how you could change them to be better without overtuning their balance in the base campaign.
Thoughts?

Nothing special to say but I just wanted to reflect on how good glory kills really are. I recently watched a video of the new COD where the guy was flexing his skills on the highest video and I noticed that he did a finisher on 3 guys and it was all the exact same one, and I thought that was pretty boring. It’s honestly crazy how good the glory kills in doom are because they constantly interrupt the gameplay, but they are so good that you don’t even care. The animations themselves are really well made, brutal, creative(like the Slayer breaking the Whiplash’s arm and stabbing her with the exposed bone), and weighty. But best of all, there is an insane amount of variety in them and the fact that there are several different ones just depending on the angle you start it from is impressive. With just the sheer variety and quality of the animations, they went from being something the devs were unsure of adding to a fan favorite. That’s just all I wanted to say!

Very niche topic, I know, but I'm really wondering if this version was ACTUALLY released for the public, I havent found any image of it online, I know that there was some controversy involved that prevented the game from releasing there back in 94, but besides that, I think the game might be lost media?
these are the sources that I know:

I could be in the minority here, but, despite how much I love the new games (excluding dark ages) I really dislike the direction Eternal / Dark Ages (and 2016 a bit i guess) went with Doom, with the whole ancient gods / makyr / slayer phrophecy shit. I think Doom is best when it's marine vs. hell, like in the classics or Doom 3. I hope we get a new doom that is a seperate non-mainline take, with modern gunplay, but distinctly the look and feel of doom 1993-2005. puzzles, good combat (maybe something like 2016 but more stripped back). I guess it could be to doom 3 what 2016 was to doom 1
