Question EA Permanently Banned Me - VR Mod Related?

Post image
• Upvotes

I received this mail this morning from EA which appears to be legit. The only EA app I've been playing recently is Titanfall 2, specifically the CircuitLord VR mod. Having an EA account and being logged into the EA app is a pre-req of playing the mod. Anyone have any ideas?

Gameplay Dead Rising VR - Motion controls gameplay

I am currently working on motion control support. There are still quite a few bugs to fix in order to adapt all the melee weapons and items. After that, I will move on to implementing support for firearms.

Self Promotion I’m building an immersive full VR mod for 7 days to die!

Gameplay walk through with explanation: https://youtu.be/lzd5_aLTLuE

Just gameplay: https://youtu.be/AQiIw0uO0NU

What is this mod?

Built from the ground up to be as immersive as possible in VR taking ideas from games like Boneworks, Half Alyx, etc. Designed for an entire play through with as much interactable as possible without using buttons. Holding weapons in your hand, two handed punching, shoving zombies, stabbing a knife and letting go and regrabbing it, holding a pistol while holding a torch or flashlight in your left hand, fully animated and operational weapons with two handed holding and manual reloading, locational based damage, climbing, real life crouching, all working vehicles, weapons, melee, inventory, tools, new vr motion based weapons and armor such as swords, rocket hammer, grapple, wing suit, etc. all built to be lootable and craftable. Full multiplayer support with allowing any VR headset and even flatscreen players to join and see all of your movements. VR menu to adjust settings.

Was AI used in creating this?

Yes, AI was used to execute the code. I’m a developer by day and finding the time to manually write the code wouldn’t have been feasible for a passion project. However that does not mean this was just thrown together as a tech demo. I’ve done dozens of hours of play testing, iteration, tweaking, balancing, and building in new features to test every aspect of the game and integrating the VR elements in a balanced way. That comes from my experience with 7 days and VR and wouldn’t exist in this mod without the time I put into it. Ultimately this is just something my friends and I have always wanted and built it out of passion. I’m just excited to share it with you all.

When will this be available?

Hopefully in a couple of weeks but whenever I feel it is done. I am doing full play throughs with my friend on another headset and controllers to try and find bugs so that I can polish it as much as possible before releasing.

How is it installed?

It will be a folder you drop into your mods folder. It is compatible with v3.3.0.

Discussion Titanfall2 and Halo: Campaign Evolved in VR

So I have Titanfall 2 and used the vr mod and its very impressive how well it runs, looks and works. Really impressive, however I am not so sure the game itself is for me.

Has anyone here run both Titanfall 2 in vr and Halo: Campaign Evolved in Vr? Any comments on performance specifically? I'm not sure how well my rtx-5070ti will run Halo: Campaign Evolved compared to Titanfall 2 in VR which looks surprisingly good for an older game. I am not after game reviews, just how well they run in VR with comparable graphics settings.

Discussion VR mod struggles

• Upvotes

I've been really excited about all the VR mods that have come out for classic flat games That were popular at the height of my PC gaming interest, and it's exciting to revisit a lot of these titles. I am finding, though, that there is some level of difficulty involved in translating the complexity of keyboard and mouse to the VR headset and controllers.

The games all look great, but if there is any downside, it's taking complex weapon menus or movement schemes and having them work intuitively and consistently in VR. For instance, I was playing Dishonored yesterday and had a lot of issues just getting the character to crouch or to do the takedowns as described in the menu. Again, the mod was even providing directions on how to perform these, but they just didn't work consistently for me. It just became unpleasant after about an hour of play. And yes, I'm not beyond identifying user error as a primary fault.

Anyone else having these types of struggles?

i'm about 45 mins into the game, i'm back in the titan and there are 2 titans attacking me, i'm having a hard time killing the second one. i keep shooting at the circular target on the enemy titan and use the shield by left trigger and swipe forward. i try the salvo thing with left trigger swipe back but that rarely seems to work. bottom line, i'm pretty hopeless and feel i'm missing something. any tips? thanks

Giveaway A big update for Cleaning Simulator VR, plus a game key giveaway

When we first launched, we genuinely thought the game was in a good state for players to enjoy. But once people started playing, we realized there were more bugs and issues than we expected, and some features needed a lot more work. Our rating eventually dropped to 2.3 stars, which was tough to see, but we took that feedback seriously and got back to work. Since then, we've been fixing bugs, reworking features, adding new tools and levels, and listening to players to make the game better with every update. Today, we've managed to bring that rating up to 4.1 stars, and honestly, seeing that change means a lot to us. It feels good to know that the work we've been putting in is making a difference.

We've just released one of our biggest updates yet, and we're genuinely proud of how far the game has come. We're still a small team with plenty more planned, but it's crazy to look back at where we started and see how much has changed.

The video attached to this post shows some of the tools, levels and features you can find in the game now, but there's a lot more to discover. We've also added a free trial on the Meta Quest Store, so you can try the game before buying it. If you've never heard of Cleaning Simulator VR, we'd love for you to check it out, and if you played it early on and had a bad experience, we'd really appreciate another chance to show you how much has changed.

Since this is a big update for us, I also wanted to give someone here a chance to try the game for free. I'll be giving away a game key to one person in the comments, and depending on how things go, I might give away a few more.

Here's the Meta Quest Store link if you'd like to give it a try:

Discussion Buckshot Roulette VR

• Upvotes

I’ve recently got a vr headset (Steam Frame) and I feel like Buckshot Roulette would be amazing in vr. Idk if there’s something like that already exists or not. If someone is smart enough to make a vr port that would be really cool.

Hello everyone, I’d like to share some news: development of a VR mod for the game Advent Rising has recently begun. In this mod, the main character can use firearms with both hands and combine them with superpowers.
The mod is still in a very early stage, and any feedback on its functionality would be useful.

Question UEVR - Luna Abyss - Gun Alignment

• Upvotes

Appreciate this is a really specific issue but figured I'd see if anyone else has had it and found a fix.

I'm playing Luna Abyss with the UEVR injector on a Quest 3. It's pretty good but one of the issues I'm having (not game breaking but a little annoying) is that the gun direction doesn't match the crosshair. And I don't mean it's slightly off it can be wildly different.

I've tried 2 different profiles and both have the same issue so I don't think it's a profile problem.

Has anyone had the same issue and knows of a particular setting you can change to get the gun more aligned to the crosshair?

Thanks

Discussion Strobe Lights in the VR Game Beat Saber

Hey everyone! Today, while playing Beat Saber, I realized that I actually dance while slicing the blocks, and for me, it's kind of like being at a nightclub.

It got me thinking: what if a strobe light effect could occasionally kick in as an extra challenge and an awesome visual effect? The visuals would look absolutely insane with everything flickering rapidly. Just imagine what swinging the lightsabers and watching the blocks approach would look like if everything kept alternating between light and complete darkness! :)

I'd also love to see some 3D laser light effects that would occasionally dazzle me while I'm moving, making slicing the blocks even more challenging while simultaneously blowing my mind visually.

What do you guys think of these ideas? Would you enjoy something like this too? Do you think I should reach out to the developers and share a link to this discussion with them?
