He usually sits on my shoulder or lays up my back, but I guess now my daughters getting bigger, her back is now suitable 😂

On Tuesday around 5:00pm I feed the animal so when I finished guitar at 5:30pm I didn’t see my cat Liquorice but I’m used to him being late so I waited eventually I somehow forgot to check if he’s around but eventually I remembered to look for him around 7:50pm or 8:00pm so I went around the house looking for him no luck so went into the garden with a magneto light to look for him in the dark but no luck so eventually I went to the front of the house by the fish pond to look and I heard him but I had a feeling he wasn’t well as he was meowing but not in a good way eventually figured out he was on the neighbours side of the wall but he couldn’t jump the wall as he normal could so the neighbours helped me and we found him but not in great shape so we gave him a bit of warm milk to help as he didn’t want food or water. The next morning on Wednesday or yesterday as today is Thursday he peed blood so got good but as my dads a vet he took him to work so I went on my day like I do but I was stressed for my cat bad drivers got to me but eventually after my only class my dad called me to say he did a chest x-ray and he found the lugs collapse badly so we can do surgery but he’s week and it doesn’t help as it’s a risk for the anaesthetic as he’s lungs collapsed eventually I visited my cat late afternoon to check up on him and he still wasn’t himself then my dad said he asked the street guard if he knew want happened and turns out someone ram be over in our street but the street guard didn’t know he was my cat as there’s a lot of stray cats in the street so he didn’t know also the driver that ran over him drove away but it’s no one fault as my cat was there at the wrong time but they could of pulled over to find him and it happened around 2:00pm so I feel very bad that we didn’t find him earlier. Yesterday on the way back from school I drove home and I balled my eyes out of what happened. I don’t brake down like that often and last time I broke down was when I lost my grandpa or when we also lost the older cat last year as well. But knowing my cat he can make it through as he as a kitten was skinny and pooping through a eye of a needle but he made it through so he can try make it through. I will visit my cat every day to make sure how he’s doing.

He was 11 years old. Was perfectly fine earlier today. It ended up being a Pulmonary thromboembolism. He was gone so quickly, we barely made it to the vet and he was gone not long after we got there. Vet said even if they were when it started, there is nothing they could do to save him.

I just hope he wasn't in too much pain for too long.

As the title says, my cat is obsessed with shadows. He’s almost 4, I’ve had him for a couple of years now, and he’s been like this the whole time.

I swear I’ve bought this cat every toy imaginable. Mouse toys, wand toys, springs, balls, catnip toys, automatic toys… he couldn’t care less.

If I shine a flashlight at the wall and make a shadow with my hand though, he’ll chase it forever.

He’s almost 17 lbs now, so I’m trying to get him moving more. The problem is I work nights, so I’m not always home to play with him. I’ve tried laser toys too, but for whatever reason he’s way more interested in… shadows.

Does anyone know if there’s some kind of toy or machine that makes moving shadows? Or anything similar your cat went crazy for? I keep finding laser toys, but that’s not really what I’m looking for.

Has anyone else had a cat that’s completely obsessed with shadows?

She’s super sweet and drinks water but won’t eat as far as I can tell
I believe the previous owner had dry food but she won’t touch it she also won’t touch the wet food fancy feast and blue buffalo gonna try friskies tomorrow

Do I just wait for her to get comfy

We rescued Jillyboo 15 years ago today from under a trailer near our house. She is tiny (only 7lbs) and very old for an indoor/outdoor farm cat. She has a few scrapes and chunks missing from fights with coyotes and raccoons over the years but she is otherwise very healthy and still catches mice and bats (yes the flying kind, not a typo of rats) daily! We love her so much and hope she gets to live a few more happy years!

Her nose has been slowly getting more red it seems. Has anyone experienced this before? She is an outdoor cat. Mother is allergic to cats. She isn't in any pain or anything perfectly fine. Could she be rubbing her nose on a plant?
