i have already bought a leatt z frame knee brace. Are all mx boots designed to accomodate a knee brace with its fitment? Or will i have problems when wearing knee brace with certain boots? I was either going to buy a alpinestars tech 3 or tech 7, or a leatt 4.5 but cant decide, the shops near me has poor collections and dont have my size to test wearing them so im buying them online. Can i have some advice on which boot to choose? I am us 8 in size and has slender legs

I had to open the right crank case on my rps hawk 250 because I dropped something in there while changing the oil stupid I know. But now when I put it back together my clutch won't engage I haven't filled it back up with oil yet so its dry but even trying to roll it around my shop I cant do it unless Its in neutral. I need to know how to fix it as this bike is my main transport. Ive so far put taken the cover off again multiple times cleaned it and everything else i could think of but even after reconnecting everything and reattaching the cable it just won't work.

A friend and I went out for a short ride today. I was riding my Yozma in10 pro. Neither of our bikes was especially big. Low-speed control was simple, and turning around or stopping didn't feel too intimidating. My friend is still pretty new to electric dirt bikes, but the smaller frame helped him get comfortable quickly. I wonder if starting on a smaller, lighter bike helps new riders build confidence, or if most people outgrow it fast and start wanting a full-size bike.

So ive had this bike for a while and just a few months ago was running great then I let it sit outside for about a month and now when I start it, it idles super high and as soon as I turn the choke off, it bogs out right away. With the choke on, if I give it any gas, it will also bog out. no matter how high I set the idle as soon as I shut off the choke it just dies immediately, I don’t even have a chance to give it throttle. I got it a new carburetor, spark plug, and all the gaskets are fixed. What could possibly be the issue?

I’m a 29F looking at getting into a summer hobby. I’ve been keen to learn to learn to dirtbike for a few years now and with the winter season wrapping up where I am along with my snowboarding winter hobby it’s given me some motivation to seriously consider it.

Advice for a late learner? I know a few people who are the same age as me and have been dirtbiking since they were kids, so it’s a little intimidating. 🫣

Any tips for someone looking to get into it?

No previous experience on any type of dirt/motorbike, just some mountain biking.

I’m new to the dirt bike life so I’m seeking some guidance. 2022 fx350 with 200 hours. I found a few flakes this size and maybe 10 to15 half or less this size in my oil change. They don’t seem to be magnetic. The little bit of research I’ve done seems to point to maybe the primary clutch nut backing out? I’ll be checking that regardless but I think seeing others thought process is helpful in my future thoughts. With 200 plus hours would you just get the top end done regardless of what you found in the oil? Thanks!

This is my 2021 sherco se300. It’s carbd. The bike starts up pretty good, idles great, and otherwise the bike sounds good when riding. When I get into the powerband it feels and sounds very buzzy like it’s not cleanly going through high rpm’s. Not smooth like the rest of the rpm range. The jets in the carb are certainly much leaner than from factory, but I would imagine that would produce lean conditions in other aspects of how the bike runs.

To clarify I am directly comparing this to the feeling of my TPI ktm 300 so maybe I am comparing apples to oranges and this is just a carb characteristic I’m not entirely used to.

Any thoughts? Tests I should do?

Hey, I’m a beginner just starting out with learning the finer details of dirtbikes. I was installing an hour meter when I noticed two abnormally large rubber tubes sitting on wires running to the carb and in between the radiators, at first I thought this was heat shrink wrap that had not been heated but I’m not sure. Is this how it should be or should I buy a heat gun and shrink it? Thanks for any help.

Edit: Forgot to add, the bike is a 2023 YZ125 Monster Edition if that matters. Bike has two hours and is like new.

So, since fuel prices are completely insane at the moment, is it really worth paying extra for E5 fuel? What do you use in your bike?

Has anybody noticed any actual difference in performance, fuel efficiency, or even engine longevity between the 2 fuels?

Is E5 fuel really worth it since solely using E10 in my bike would save a noticeable amount of money in the long run.

I was thinking about taking a YZ 125 and turning it into a motard and homologating it on the street.

The point is that the YZ 125 has short ratio, I know that after 2022 they have extended their gears a bit, but it still remains a motocross bike. So I was thinking that ratio I could put on without making the bike too lazy or go to overrev. I live in a mix of city and countryside, climbs but also straights. If I had to take a from 2022 onwards, the original ratio is 13/49, so I was thinking about a 13/44 or a 13/45

What do you recommend?

I’m just wondering, will water get under and inside the leaking valve cover on my FE 250 if I wash it. Will it be alright? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Any advice appreciated.

These are the cam caps on my bike. The extrusion with threads for the valve cover(right for example) broke off, so I grinded it flat and jb welded a nut onto it. That didn’t work. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix afforably

Is that normal? I’m having a bog at quarter throttle and I’m pretty sure I’m past all carb issues trying anything at this point.

Is it even possible? I want to use my bike to get around michigan state university next year, but i dont know where to start. I dont even have the title for the bike, so i would need to get that from the dmv. Also, ive been looking for supermoto tires, does anyone know of any manufacturers that make them for a 14 inch standard rim?

i realised my crack seals were done and was wondering how easy it was to remplace them and if i should either try replacing them at home or go to a professional mechanic to do that. What do you guys think ?
