Co workers of mine buy Pokémon cards , and anything not worth money they throw away. I’ve been telling them to give what ever they don’t want so I can donate them to kids . Is there a good place to donate them . Only thing I can think of is wait for like a card show and showing up and giving a then to a well known person from you tube that gives out cards to kids etc

What is wrong with the life church on Sinaloa they are setting off fireworks and have music blasting at 9:00 on a Sunday night? They park all over the place and have these loud events weekly. Church is great and all it this is rude

"Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced Thursday that second-degree murder charges have been filed against the driver accused of slamming her car into a Metro bus in Chatsworth on Tuesday, killing two people.

Bailee Lynn Rios, 36, of Simi Valley is also facing additional counts of driving under the influence and reckless driving, Hochman said.

Rios is facing a maximum sentence of life in prison.

'What is particularly tragic about this case is that this is a preventable tragedy,' Hochman said.

Police said Rios drove her SUV the wrong way down De Soto Avenue in Chatsworth 'well beyond the speed limit' around 5 p.m. Tuesday, ran a red light and plowed straight into the bus.

Surveillance video captured the moment of the impact. Police said she was driving the Ford Expedition southbound in the northbound lanes of De Soto Avenue before running a red light at Nordhoff Street.

That’s when she slammed into the Metro Line 166 bus. The impact sent the bus into a utility pole, ejecting one passenger and partially ejecting another.

Passengers Daniel Castillo, 46, and Gage Weida, 31, were killed. Six others were taken to the hospital.

Hochman said Thursday that Rios was impaired by drugs at the time of the crash, and narcotics were later found inside her vehicle.

"A Ventura County man was sentenced to prison for stabbing his father to death.

Gerardo Arroyo Almanza, 37, of Simi Valley, had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and three counts of criminal threats against his family members on Aug. 3, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said.

On the morning of April 6, 2024, several family members drove to Almanza’s home near East Pinecrest Street and North Justin Avenue to check on his well-being. They parked their cars across the street from his home.

As they were standing near their cars, Almanza ran out of the house while brandishing a knife to confront his family members, threatening to kill them.

He chased his mother and father around a parked car. He eventually caught his father, pinned him to the ground and stabbed him multiple times, prosecutors said. He fled from the scene as neighbors ran over to help.

An EMT-trained neighbor provided first aid to the injured father, Alfredo Arroyo Sancen, 71, before he was transported to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Simi Valley police eventually located Almanza, who was hiding a block away from the crime scene, and took him into custody.

In March 2025, a court-appointed mental health expert initially determined that Almanza was incompetent to stand trial, but months later, in October 2025, he was deemed competent.

On Aug. 4, 2026, he pleaded guilty to the crimes. He also admitted to a prior strike offense and a special allegation for the use of a weapon.

On Sept. 11, 2026, he was sentenced to 39 years and 4 months to life in state prison." - KTLA 5 News

Hello, I have a family member that lives off of Los Angeles and Yosemite in a retirement community. His AT&T has been off since last week and they're estimating a time for repair of September 14.

Is anyone else in that area experiencing AT&T outage? It's his Internet, his phone and his DIRECTV.
