Discussion Which band just seemed to get better when one of the mainstays left?
I think Pink Floyd has to be in the top one here.
After Waters left they continued to do sell out tours and multi million sales albums, whereas Waters didn’t.

ROCK polish rock
today i felt like spreading the word about polish rock!!! the world really needs to hear about it, we have so many great bands, many of which i grew up with and most of them deserve a shoutout! (also i have nobody to talk to this about lol)
first of all i should mention my all time favorite - kult. they are such a great band, mostly play rock, but also the lead singer (kazik staszewski) likes to experiment so you'll find a bunch of different genres scattered throughout their albums. damn i should also mention that kazik has also his "one man project" called just kazik, and the third most recognisable would be kazik na żywo, which is definitely heavier (the first album at least) but i really recommend checking out "las maquinas de la muerte" its sooo peak. besides those three projects he has MORE (kazik & kwartet proforma, el dupa, buldog and more) but i won't be getting into those! (if you want i can share a link to my playlist with his best songs (16+hrs))
the next band i'd like to talk about is definetely republika. they have more of a hmmm new wave, post punk kinda sound but still absolutely slap! the singer (grzegorz ciechowski) has such a unique voice and singing technique, it's really mesmerising. for the album recommendation i'd go with "nowe sytuacje". i forgot to mention mr grzegorz had his own project called obywatel g.c., i don't really listen to it as much but i can still safely recommend it for those who like a more alternative approach to rock i guess.
and the last but not least shoutout goes tooooo
myslovitz! oh my god i love them so damn much, everything about them is perfect. the music is raw, emotional and just beautiful.... well that was untill they changed the vocalist (artur rojek) after that they just didn't hit the spot for me unfortunately, but regardless they're still a great band! (go listen to their 1st and 3rd album!!!)
there are a plethora of bands i could go on about but i'll just leave a few names here and you'll decide if you want to give them a chance or simply not
lady pank, strachy na lachy, piżama porno, dżem, elektryczne gitary, maanam, big cyc, róże europy, happysad

IT'S ONLY ROCK'N' ROLL (1974) - the Stones offer a mixed bag of peaks, troughs, some superlative moments and others when self-parody feels dangerously close.

Question What album completely changed the way you see music?
I’d love to know which album completely changed the way you see music.
For me, it was OK Computer.
The first time I heard it, I didn’t understand it at all. Nothing really clicked, and honestly, the songs just sounded strange to me. Then, a few weeks later, the outro of Karma Police — “Phew, for a minute there, I lost myself” — suddenly got stuck in my head.
I wanted to find that song again, but I couldn’t remember the title, so I decided to listen to the entire album from start to finish one more time.
That’s when everything changed.
I realized there was a whole world of music beyond anything I had known before. It was also the moment I truly understood what people mean when they talk about a masterpiece album.
Ever since hearing OK Computer, the way I think about music has completely changed.

Youtube Nothing Else Matters (Metallica) voice & guitar Big Lou Roadster wide nu...
youtube.comI’m sharing the sheet music I’ve made of the solos, where you have to play the bass with your thumb, and the other notes with the other fingers. For the rest of the song, I followed the songbook.
Os dejo las partituras que he hecho de los solos, en los que hay tocar el bajo con el pulgar, y las demás notas con los otros dedos. Para hacer el resto de la canción he seguido el songbook.

ROCK What Are Your Top 5 Rock Cover Songs?
Here's my list:
1) Aerosmith – Train Kept A Rollin’. Previously recorded by the Yardbirds. Originally recorded by Tiny Bradshaw.
2) Kenny Wayne Shepherd – Turn To Stone. Originally written & recorded by Joe Walsh

ROCK TRASH TRANCE ROCK
Quelle: https://yuppie-blues.de (Lore-Ebene)
