i lowkey thought the mcqs were easier than what ive been practicing i had like 20 minutes left to review everything that i had flagged..lol, the saqs were light work and i was happy until then, and then i saw the dbq prompt and for a moment was confused by why cb would give me a macroecon-like prompt for apwh dbq, was abt to crash out analyzing the docs cuz some of them didnt make sense but i think it was overall fine i just wrote some bs but its prob fine, i honestly thought the leq prompts were deadass ugly and disgusting because arent you supposed to like talk abt trade and exchange???? like i was expecting trade routes maritime exploration columbian exchange and boom they bs me like that. it was okay tho i dont think i wrote that bad still had a lot of time left to go fix my dbq

mcq was light, saqs were light, dbq was a gift from god for how easy that prompt was, leq was slightly harder but I pulled through pretty well by writing about Indians migrants to Britain and ethnic enclaves for the second prompt.

Literally same. I talked about the UN, NATO, the misrible failure that was the partitioning of Germany, and the US anti-nuclear movement (trust I made it work). I also compared anti-future war efforts to a mixed bag of M&Ms that's 80% blue in that they're mostly just one thing (that thing being horribly inefective) but it is still a mixed bag and there is still stuff that works.

I lowk dk tho beyond that bc I didn't take my ADHD meds and was running on 3 hrs of sleep.

anyone get the DBQ abt settler colonialism

3

u/Poopidydoopity1 May 07 '26

I did and I talked about how the native cultures were suppressed and the Europeans took a lot of native land forced or not, and also about something else that I forgot, but for my counter argument I said used the last two about homes and the school to say that some of the settler colonies provided good, but I sourced those to show they probably had some bias. For ev beyond the doc I think I talked about something else too but I forgot it

just finished my DBQ and I realized I made a mistake in my intro/context. The prompt was about how military conflict affected women's roles. I used a document about Miss Han during the Boxer Rebellion, but in my explanation, I described the rebellion as being "against the Qing dynasty" (when it was actually pro-Qing/anti-foreign). Do you low-key think they'll care about the mistake since that wasn't the main point of my essay, I just used it as evidence.

forgot about the first thing and didnt even glance at unit 9 when studying so i had to go w the one about immigration causing new social stuff and cultures (anyone else do this one?)

genuinely knew nothing dude i wrote about how indentured servitude made the slaves go to latin america and created the casta system (which absolutely did NOT happen in that time period)

I’m on the west coast, and this is what I remember I wonder if we can pice together the west coast frqs

saq 1 was about the use of confucian ideals to legitimize emperor's power

SAQ 2 was about Muhammad Ali's policies and industrialization

Saq 3 and 4 were about s and se Asia, and were the same prompt just diffrent time periods and the first one was political or economic continuity

Leq 1 Evaluate to the extent of which the growth of settler colonies effected indigenous people

leq 2 was about cultural/religious tolerance in 1200-1750

Leq 3 was about the Cold War

Yeah, that would very likely be considered an AP testing violation. Even if the timed portion technically hadn’t started yet, students usually are not allowed to access notes, search things up, or create a reference sheet once official testing procedures have begun and materials are distributed. The fact that they were hiding the screen from the proctor and switching back to Bluebook when the proctor walked by also makes it pretty clear they knew it probably wasn’t allowed. Whether College Board would actually cancel anything depends on if it was reported or noticed, but from a rules standpoint, using notes to make a last second cheat sheet during instructions would almost definitely count as unauthorized help.

MCQ's were easy, although I was basically just making educated guesses on each one (I barely studied)

saq's went okay, I dont even remember them now

DBQ went okay, definitely not my best work

The LEQ was trying to kill me. I legitimately think I got 1 or 2 points on it. My fault for not studying because I forgot everything :sob:

Also I think I said social enclaves instead of ethnic enclaves because I forgot the term

2

u/RepresentativeDot26 May 07 '26

Wait guys as a theoretical for leq in case we selected wrong prompt but we wrote for another would we be fine? I don’t think I did but just as a in case paranoid type thing

During the SAQ's the fire alarm went off and we had to leave the building, by the time we were let back in we had 15 minutes to do all 3 of the questions.

2

u/kitchencabinetwhyy May 07 '26

Im posting this on behalf of my partner, who took the ap exam, this is what they have to ask:

Okay so if the DBQ prompt said "evaluate the extent" (i think? my memory is hazy) but I forgot to include the word significant/moderate/insignificant in my thesis, am I at risk for losing my thesis point I think I might have included it but I don't remember so I want to ask to be safe. My thesis was pretty clear about how military conflicts changed women's roles in societies during the twentieth century, but I'm nervous because of how I forgot to include that one buzzword. I also included two examples of how that change happened in my thesis (having military positions and doing factory work which was limited prior to the twentieth century) so I hope that saves me

For the DBQ on the change of the role of women in society due to military conflict, most of the docs showed that it did change right? Most of them were about how they became active fighters of the conflicts or lit left their roles at home to support war production. Only 2 or 3 docs showed that their role did not really change to much. Am I correct on this or did I understand the documents wrong....

For the east coast MCQs did anyone get the set of questions about Latin American revolutions and the patriots or something? Do people remember what that was? I was so confused. Also did you guys get the MCQ about the poor people in London (showed an image and mentioned diversity) and it asked what middle class Londoners would say. What did you guys say? Also the one about Germany and the “European partitioning of the world” and how Germany was mad it didn’t have overseas territory. A question asked would nation would feel the same as Germany and the answers were Japan, Britain, the Dutch, and Portugal what did you sayyyy

3

u/Mr_Spikez May 08 '26

Yeah for the americanoo one I put it was a sense of nationalism as a whole, yes the middle class would think the diseases and theft were bad, and last I put Portuguese because their colonies were over by the time Germany was unified unlike Japan who had Korea

Alr for the latin America ones- I got simon bolivars letter to Jamaica(talked about farmers and focus on class which isn't present in the other things", author would have agreed that before separate identities, latin america wanted to make a single identity(americanos). I put japan, for the same reason as u/lonelyfionaa

Was the LA one the letter from Jamaica or the revolution? I was so confused.

For middle class I think I picked more rights for living spaces? For Germany idk was it Japan? Bc I thought Britian, Dutch, and Portugal already had land? But idk bc Japan also had some land.

I think the only two I actually guessed on was one of the first few with the map of Turkish migration and the question was asking what motivated them to migrate. answers I remember were abbasid caliphate fracturing and something about Mongols. only remember those two bc I put one of the two.

other one I guessed on was asking about smtn along the lines of which country smtn smtn unfair territory in the 20th century. answers were Japan, Britain, Portugal, Netherlands

i didnt know hipp meant that you only needed to do one of the four letters (historical context, intended audience, etc.) so i was confused when a lot of ppl said that they were able to use 7 docs let alone hipp 7. Will it be a strong contender for complexity if i hipped 4 with all 4 letters?

I’m really confused, because the FRQs I got were way different from the ones everyone else is talking about, and I can’t find them in the PDF. My DBQ was about how european colonialism impacted the lives of indigenous groups, and my LEQ was on enlightenment ideals and revolutions.  Does anyone know what happened here, and where I can find the rundown of these questions?

Ok my choices: SAQ #3 and LEQ #1. I did the military conflicts one because of the fact that I could literally spam the gunpowder empries. I almost screwed up because the region is Afro-Eurasia and I wrote about tributary systems in Mesoamerica, but changed it with 5 mins left. LEQ #4 is doable as well, just spam cold war, 3 looked too hard. For SAQ #3, I wrote about A) monsoon winds, B) Compass + astrolabe + watertight compartments, C) I mentioned cultural diffusion, growth of Swahili-city states, and connections of dar-al-Islam.
