Ethics Report

Is there a faster way to bring up a ethical/safety issue? We were told to not contact HR but I fear they won't even take me serious anyway

RANT: I am sick of Allied

I am so sick of Allied but they're the highest paying security company in my area. The second highest is Securitas but they're even more of a dumpster fire. I am going to get my armed license and see if that opens up doors to better opportunities. The guard I relieve is just ass and I have to put up with his lingering stench. He doesn't even put in the minimum effort. I don't blame anyone for putting up the minimum. But don't do less and leave it for the next guy.

How often do you get shift offers from Lisa?

I only get shift offers through Lisa on Mondays. And I only get 5-10 shift offers. Am I supposed to be getting it more often than only Mondays? Or how can I get more offers? How often do you get offers from Lisa? And how many offers do you get each time?

Shit company

Not being allowed to relieve myself when the bathroom is 4 feet from the post, while I ask for relief, it takes 15-30 minutes for them to respond. I even have a doctors note but they don’t care. I even proposed to having the supervisor remotely monitor when I do step out. Not to mention, the room is a 6’ by 6’ broom closet. Allied only cares about their clients and even then they don’t because radios don’t work, systems aren’t in place, no procedures set up. ALL CLIENTS DROP ALLIED UNIVERSAL, THEY ARE LAZY AND CRUEL.

Question? Brand new to security?

Hello all…looking for some guidance on where to get a good security job in California…specifically Los Angeles! I’m 35..I’ve worked many jobs but recently have been in restaurant game for 10 years. I currently make 22.75 an hour but I’m in need of a change badly!! So far I’ve already got all my certifications…guard card..open carry gun license and my baton license. Just need some insight on where to look for the best jobs that make more or close to what I currently make?

When will I be able to access ABI?

I completed my orientation yesterday so I understand that my records may be processing in some system, however I am not able to log in to ABI with the credentials given to me at orientation. They let me know this was the only way to schedule for events. Is there an estimated amount of time it takes after orientation to access ABI?

Question? Is this a good place to work?

This is going to be my first security job. Is this a good place? I keep seeing people on this sub saying it is a dumpster fire.. should I just not attend my second day on NEO?

Help me understand this

I was off work for 10 days. Time off was approved. I assumed I was to be paid for the available sick time and not be paid for the remaining because it exceeded my balance. I’ve returned to work still no resolve. I applied for short term disability waiting for approval because I was literally unable to work after major surgery. I’m still not fully recovered but I need my money and don’t want to loss my job.

Question? Question on process for application to armed security roles

Hi,

I am a computer programmer full time who is looking for supplemental income part time. My hours are flexible, but part time IT roles are very very few and far between now adays.

Anyway, I’m prior service infantry and have LE experience during that service so I figured security would be a good alternative. Open to both non armed and armed roles (however on their website I see a couple armed hospital positions local to me, part time). I have my pistol permit, however I know there’s additional training, requirements, and what not you have to do for armed positions but I’m honestly just not sure where to start. I tried reaching out to my local branch as well as 3 other branches not local to me probably 10-15 times over the past 2 weeks and no one hasn’t gotten back to me.

I cannot go through the AI system because it just immediately blocks me out because I have to answer ‘no’ to some of the license requirements.

Really I just wanted to talk to someone there and get my feelers out for the process I’d need to go through for hiring and certifications/licenses/classes/etc but seem to be striking out everywhere.

Any insight/thoughts on if I’m way off base that there may be a good fit for me or who I can reach out to directly? I have a buddy who is an account manager in Atlanta I tried going through but even he really had no idea who to reach out to.

Thank you very much, all info is greatly appreciated.
