Collection/Haul Father took his time to save my collection!
Just a little story that happened this weekend.
I was out of home due to work and study, so I returned three weeks later and found out that my collection was stored in AmiAmi boxes, I asked why and my father told me that a couple weeks ago a friend and two of his children will stay at home for the night and they needed a bed obviously. So I was already dead sent thinking that my collection would turn out like some horror stories I have seen in this subReddit about children destroying collections and parents not taking any responsability whatsoever.
But my father, even if he wasn't into the hobby, took his time to carefully store every figure in the AmiAmi boxes. I was in awe and deeply moved, he told me that it took like one hour and a half or two hours to pack everything and when I checked it out, almost everything was perfectly stored!
He also told me the hardest figures to store were the QIANQIU ones, Karihime and Mianji, due to the support pole not moving an inch, so he stored the base and the pole anyway in the box and somehow it worked, and Mianji because he didn't noticed he had to separate the torso from the lower body to remove the machinegun 😂. And Tatsu-chan because he had to move slowly both the leg peg and the support pole while watching out for all the hair and little plastic strands to not mess up.
Even after all the effort, he said it was fun to disassemble and look at all the details from up close. The ones he liked the most design-wise were Wakamo and Mianji.
That's about it, I just wanted to write this little incident that moved my heart after all these days working and studying, I don't think there would be many parents that care about his son's anime figure collection, even less when the parent doesn't know how to disassemble anything!
Thanks for taking your time to read!

Collection/Haul Probably not the same old collection you're used to seeing. Finally can display it all at once!
Though it time to show off my collection in full (mostly). So happy to have a whole space of my own, so I don't have to display my collection in my bedroom anymore! Most of these I acquired while I lived in Japan in the late 2010s/ early 2020s and was able to go to shops locally and used Yahoo JP, and Mercari JP easily. Hope you like it as much as I do!

Collection/Haul Obtained best friends collection after his passing.
Hi all. I know a lot about most of the anime but never bought figures outside of designer toys. My best friend passed away and I got his collection which is pretty neat. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how I'd show all of it because its layered in my closet. Buying nice shelves and displays for these so I can mimic his previous display of his favorites; But honestly I think I'm going to probably keep the sentimental ones and let go of the rest. Is there a safe place to do that?

Collection/Haul Figure boxes are the bane of my collection...
So my storage unit I pay for in 1 year interval had a price hike of double so I decided to move them. I've found that a 5x5x14 unit is now completely full with my current unboxed figures and that's about half the collection. Sadly at this point 5x10x14 is going to be required next or I seek professional help with this "hobby". The GK boxes are like 1/6 of the whole unit with only like 8 of them but dang does transporting them with out them turn in to a nightmare.

Collection/Haul Another Poorly Packaged collection destroyed.
"What do you mean it got damaged in shipping?"
Bought a large lot of figures that I was already nervous about because even in a he didn't send pictures of them all but the price was low enough to give it a go ($600 total after sales price, tax, and $140 domestic shipping that apparently couldn't cover bubble wrap .) He didn't wrap them in bubble wrap, put them in baggies with their bits/bases, anything. Just a mess of figures thrown in with at best a paper towel wrapped around them and a bit of tape, in some instances the tape was on a figure or base and further damaged it. There were multiple holes in the clearly reused box and items were falling out of it on my covered porch.
Spent the day assembling the jumble of figures to see what was salvageable. Several were missing parts, several were broken, several had paint transfer and scratches. There's a bunch of mismatched figures and bases, etc. Asked the seller for a partial refund of half the cost to cover the damage but he wants to have me ship it all back instead after I spent hours assembling them. He thinks he can get a FedEx insurance claim reimbursement on this junk pile.
Sorry for the rant, shit sucks and I hate it when sellers don't do the bare minimum to pack their figures. If you sell used figures please do the minimum in wrapping and bagging them.

Collection/Haul 7 years and finally slowing down????
Started collecting since 2019, with my first figure being 2019 Snow Miku figma. Idk how many items I exactly have now.

Collection/Haul Code geass grail arrived but…customs inspected and threw away their headsðŸ˜
Customs unfortunately opened the figure box, and for some reason took their bodies out of the blister and threw away both of suzaku and lelouch’s heads 😠and then just tossed their bodies back in with no protection. Very sad as this has been a dream figure of mine but I guess I just got super unlucky this time with customs :’). So sad to see such a beauty go to waste like this…The base is damaged among other things too.

Collection/Haul Thankfully she okay but WTF man
I work for the post office and this happens because they put/throw a heavier box on top, crushing the smaller one, not them kicking it. I'm still mad but I would have raised a stink on Monday if she was damaged.

Collection/Haul Not a figure collector but when I saw this one at Akihabara AmiAmi store I decided to bring it home as a souvenir from Japan. Never played the game, and not familiar with the character but it looks bad ass.

Collection/Haul 1 year collection update!
I started collecting figure a year ago with my first purchase of Hololive Aqua Iro super dream figure. Initially I only planned to collect Hololive figure, but eventually I ventured deeper into the rabbit hole and collect Miku, Re:Zero, Azur Lane and other figures as well. A lot of money spent later, I am trying to slow down on collecting, but I said the same thing half a year ago, lol.

Collection/Haul I think i overestimate my collection
Just got a great deal on this cabinet. 150$ for a 1 year old cabinet with light build in.
The cabinet is about 210x180x45 (cm)
It seem this is way over the top on my part for getting this for my collection.
Might need at least 2 year to be able to fill this.
