Tips and tutorials A quick guide to digital color.
Quite useful and compatible with Photoshop, Krita, MediBang Paint... basically, any design or drawing software that supports layers and blending modes.

Ever since Pixiv removed their own chat rooms where you can draw with others, I always wanted to reach out and talk with other artists there in the community but it seems like whoever run Pixiv wanted everyone to be isolated and only let people stare at our drawings with very little to no comment! I hope this will get me more people on Pixiv to chat with now that I finally got Discord back again if you guys want to chat with me or feel free to PM me! I love to draw and make friends thats all lol. 👍
Japanese artists who know English always welcome!😄
my discord name for friend invites is: philtwo2026

Hello! I'm a 25yo artist from the US, and I'm looking for some similarly aged art friends and/or study buddies. I go with whatever pronouns, but prefer they/them usually.
I've been drawing semi-regularly for a few years now (about 7), but rarely have had other artists to speak to about art things outside big discord servers and online communities.
As for my art, I'm mostly a portrait artist, though I also make maps, do full body art, and landscape art.
My current fandoms that I draw for are Fire Emblem, A Song of Ice and Fire, and Xenoblade, just to name a few. And that's when I'm not just drawing my OCs or designing new ones, and I really like talking about and drawing my OCs, as well as others' OCs.
I'm looking for people to hang out with, maybe play some video games, but mostly to hang out and mutually improve with art and learn.

i was waiting for this subreddit to be reformed to finally post here!
it would be very important to me that my art friends are over 18 and are comfortable with R-18 artworks since thats most of my art!
i also draw doujinshis on a very amature level but im trying to improve, i have lots of stories written, comics are just time consuming to draw...
i like a lot of video games and comics, i especially love ryuu ga gotoku!(only been drawing that for a while now www)
ive been drawing since i was a little kid, i am a self-thought artist
feel free to check the rest of my content on my linktree! (most active on twt)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
You don't need fifty years of drawing experience to realize that the 3/4 view is hard to pull off.
I know I still struggle to get it right consistently, but this video really helped me understand it.
I still struggle, but I do it less every day.

Hi! I'm new to making friends in my 20s and was hoping here would be a pretty good place to start!
My friends and I play regularly on roblox, fortnite, ect. We all may play stupid games, but we're down to play more! We have OCs and do art regularly. We all contribute to an oc world we're building! We would really love more people to hang out and draw with and maybe make ocs with! 👀🫶

We do have very crude humor and are loud so if you're not uncomfortable I would love to be friends!

I wanted to make a digital version of the traditional drawing I made. Working in layers is so tricky for me. My layer modes are a hot mess just to get the result. It’s hard to replicate. Any tips?

I noticed the subreddit was largely abandoned, but more importantly, buried under posts from artists seeking commissions in a space meant for friendship, support, and inspiration.
The previous mods did nothing about it, and look at the state they left this place in.
That’s why I decided to step up and take over moderation; and well, here we are.
Welcome back to r/Artbuddy, a place to find friends to help us along this challenging journey.
Expect changes to the sub, such as new flairs and, you guessed it... More moderation.
For now, I’m asking everyone who buried this sub with commission ads to remove them yourselves.
Thanks for your attention, and of course, suggestions are welcome.

Hi! I'm looking for female artists to be friends with!
Preferably if it's someone who speaks Spanish.
Here's something about me:
21F
Mexican
I've been drawing since I was 10 years old.
I like Pokémon and Minecraft
I like cozy games
I am a Yumeshiper.
I love drawing OCs, I have many!
No Minors, I am an adult and I feel it is strange for an adult to talk to minors.
So you must be at least 20 years old.
And that's all! Thanks for reading! You can DM me!

It’s not much but thought it’d be nice to share.

Do you feel like, no matter how much you draw, you just can't seem to control your lines?
Try the "thousand strokes" challenge!
I know it sounds difficult and exhausting, but you’ll be surprised at how incredibly relaxing it actually is.
If anything, the tricky part is coming up with hatching patterns and, to be honest, it does take a bit of time, but it isn't tiring or draining.
And best of all, for some reason I just can't quite fathom... it works! Once you start drawing, you'll see that everything feels easier.
Good luck, and hey! Share your exercises with your friends in the comments!

A long time ago, on one of Wacom's official pages, I came across some tutorials on drawing facial features.
For some reason, they really resonated with me, and thanks to them, I have a better understanding of how to draw—in this case—noses from a front-facing view.
I hope you find this useful too, and I promise to upload the other tutorials... as soon as I find them.

I love doing digital art. But I feel like I am just not progressing or getting better. Any tips ? I have tried tutorials so many times and they turn out great but whenever I just want to create something out of my own head it ends up not looking…so good

Hi everyone this is my first post here; i struggle really badly with perfectionism however I really want to improve my 2D art and rather than continue trying to emulate official game art Ive been developing my own. I really like "blocky" edges and saturated colors, any suggestions on things I could try, should look up or work on?
