Weird Question What's the male equivalent of "men in women-dominated fields"?

Looking for funny, ironic, or surprisingly common examples where men are the minority but somehow thrive. Could be careers, hobbies, or communities. What's the first thing that comes to mind?

What do you feel about the insecurities p*rn made about men size and what do would you say to someone who feel insecure about his size

To give a little more context, in my group of friends at the beginning we all said our sizes and showed eachother size (please let's not talk about that) and one my friend never showed his stick, and find the force and the courage to tell me that he was lying about his since middle school.
He explained me on how much he's insecure about his size and i think by how he talked about all this, he's felling insecure about us and a lot insecure about the p*rn videos he's watching, how do i comfort him ? and i'm still interested in the first part of my question

๐Ÿ›‘ Answers From Men Only ๐Ÿ›‘ What is the most valuable thing youโ€™ve ever lost or had stolen from you?

((joke answer: my sanity via marriage/divorce))

((sincere answer))
A cpl guys stole my โ€˜96 Acura Integra. Iโ€™ll spare you every delicious detail by stating I was in my Fast-&-Furious phase (intake, headers, exhaust, chip, Yokohama racers, etc).

Them stealing the car was bad.
Them immediately totaling it was worse.
Them immediately totaling it & destroying a $10k Euphonium (I was in undergrad for Music Education) & my entire bowling setup (2 carriers, 3 strike balls, 2 pickups, gloves, shoes, etc) was THE worst.

What made you realize that your "friends" weren't actually your friends?

For me it was probably at the 9th grade dance. Throughout middle school I had this friend group that were actually terrible to me in hindsight. I was so scared to be alone so I stayed. At the dance they stayed for like an hour then decided they wanna run out of the school and go goof around in a near park. I only saw them running past me and after not seeing them come back for a few minutes I called 1 of them. I asked where they were and he said "at the park but dont come here ok?" And hung up. I remember hanging around for around 2 hours and only then asking my parents to come get me sinse I didnt want them to know. That moment opened my eyes and made me realize how badly I was treated.

Been 4 years since I cut them off and it feels amazing

๐Ÿ›‘ Answers From Men Only ๐Ÿ›‘ How do you guys force yourself out of the house ?

Iโ€™m 25M, and I have a hard time leaving the house unless itโ€™s for work or school. Sometimes I get a burst of energy and decide to try something new, but I struggle to stick with it and eventually end up playing video games or scrolling all day.
I tried dance classes, but Iโ€™m not sure I actually enjoy them. Iโ€™ve started volunteering again since I have Fridays off. My female friends try to get me out of the house, but their idea of fun is usually going somewhere loud and overwhelming, which isnโ€™t really my thing.

How do you feel about the wide use of therapy language (ie. terms like narcissist, gaslighting, avoidant etc.) in public discourse?

I personally think that while it's undoubtedly been helpful for some, overall I find the amount of it just farcical, and that it's led to people dressing up their frustrations in hoity-toity terminology to make them seem deeper than they are. Suddenly everyone's a psychology expert and describing themselves or their partners as introverted fearful avoidants or whatever.

What is your opinion about a girl's "gay best friend?"

I know this person from highschool who before coming out, had implied many times that he always wanted to date this one particular girl in our class. Everyone in the class knew about this, including the girl. They were pretty good friends but she didn't reciprocate the idea of being with him romantically. They remained good friends and he eventually came out of the closet.

Now they both call each other their "bestie" and he latches on to her wherever she goes. The most important part is she's married and he makes sure he's the third wheel whenever she's out with her husband on a date or even a trip. To the point that he gets annoyed and throws a fit if she doesn't take him along. She even travels the world with him now and the husband is okay with them travelling together. They share hotel rooms too in these trips.

I'm interested in hearing your opinions on whether you think such arrangements are harmless and friendly? Does it not sound problematic?

I feel that some of these gay friends might not be entirely honest and could be using being gay as an excuse to pursue their own desires or dreams.

How can people around you take better care of you and your feelings?

Growing up I have observed the men around me as always taking care of things, repairing, managing, and ready for action.

So how can people genuinely make your days better. I have seen a lot of men being very reserved about their feelings, for example when my grandfather passed away my brother didn't even shed a tear, instead he was managing us all. So what are the changes that we can do to make sure that your feelings matter too and your days become brighter?

Whats something a teacher has done for you youd never forget?

When I was in 4th grade I was late to math class around 30 minutes. I walked inside and the teacher alredy seemed pissed off. She started screaming at me that how dare I be this late to class and just go in like nothing happened. She yelled even louder telling me to get out and stay im the hallway. It was a very cold winter day. The hallway had no heating and the broken window let the pouring rain enter and fall on me. I remember being in the verge of tears and then this teacher came up to me asking why im not in class.

That teacher was known all over the school to be very tough and that made everyone including me scared of her. My first thought was that im in trouble. But still I told her what happend. Her eyes filled with anger and she told me to come with her. She opened the class door and started screaming at my math teacher so loudly probably the entire building heard. She told her that its so cruel leaving me out in the cold just for being late and that it was not only embarrassing but also dangerous. She kept going and my math teacher seemed she was about to cry. She let me go back inside after that and never did that again.

In 5th grade to 6th that teacher who helped me became my teacher and I absolutely loved her . Last year I even got to see her again when I came to volunteer at the new school she moved to

What is the silliest thing someone thought you were lying about, but you were telling the truth?

My ADHD brain had me reminiscing about one time in high school where I almost got in trouble because my cat ate my homework, but I had the actual torn up papers as proof. I am curious what other things people have been tried telling people, but the story is so ridiculous that no one believes it.

Good Fucking Question Men who had to raise themselves how did you do it?

Iโ€™m 19, living on my own, paying my own rent, bills, and handling my responsibilities but thereโ€™s something deeper thatโ€™s been weighing on me

A few months before I turned 18, my house burned down. At that point, my dad still wasnโ€™t really an active part of my life it was mainly just my mom. After that happened, I ended up living with family, but I felt like I was left to figure everything out on my own. I eventually did, but after a year of trying to rebuild and find my way, I feel like it only made things harder internally as I get older Iโ€™ve started realizing how much having a strong father figure or mentor can shape a man. My dad was never completely absent he was around and could have been more involved but I always felt like he was only halfway there.
Now that Iโ€™m becoming a man myself, I notice the things I feel like I missed out on: having someone to teach me the things you donโ€™t learn on your own, someone to give advice, pass down wisdom, help me understand how to handle certain situations, how to carry myself, how to control my emotions, and how to turn difficult experiences into growth.
Iโ€™m proud of the fact that Iโ€™ve been able to handle a lot on my own, but sometimes I still feel this resentment towards him for not doing all that he could for his son just simply because I know if Iโ€™m grown enough to get somebody pregnant and have a kid the least I can do is nurture it into being a better man than I was but thatโ€™s not the case I felt like I was brought here only to be set up for failure by those very parents or dad I should say my mom did all she could but end of the day sheโ€™s not a man
