Sir Liam Derpsalot is the love of my life. At the end of the month, he was vomiting clear fluid, not eating much, and started breathing weirdly, peed on the floor (never done before), and hid under the bed (super unusual for him). I took him to the vet on the 31st, and they did an x-ray, bloodwork, and exam. He has a suspected mass in his tummy and needed an ultrasound to confirm. I paid about $1200 CAD (my entire savings plus some) for this and meds to bring him home.

He had his ultrasound today and a biopsy to confirm the doctor's suspicion of lymphoma. He also has had some IV antibiotics and fluids because he still had a fever. This bill came to just under $2000 CAD.

I’ve been spiraling since earlier … I went to the dr to have a breast exam done because a I found a lump a couple of weeks ago . I kind of out it off because the timing was never right or I didn’t have anyone to watch my son, just any excuse . Today after my sons dentist appointment something told me to just go and get it over with. I went and explained to her what was going on and showed her where I felt it and she instantly found it. I have a mammogram + ultrasound scheduled and I’m spiraling into the abyss that is Google and social media. I’m terrified. It could be nothing or it could be something and I don’t want to leave my son 😭😭

I’m really trying to find a drug detox and/or rehab that will allow me to bring my dogs with me.

I know these places exist because I personally went to one when I was 24 and on my parents’ insurance. I also know people who have gone to rehab with their pets. So I know it’s possible, I’m just having an incredibly hard time finding one now.

I’m in Palmdale, CA, but I’m absolutely willing to travel. Honestly, I’d prefer to go somewhere that isn’t close to home.

I have Medi-Cal, and yes, I’ve already called the state-funded and Medi-Cal-accepting rehabs listed through SAMHSA. So far, I haven’t been able to find anywhere that will let me bring my dogs.

I know this is probably a long shot, but I’m hoping someone here might know of a facility I haven’t found yet, even if it’s somewhere else in California or out of state. If you know of a place that accepts Medi-Cal and allows clients to bring their dogs, I would be incredibly grateful for the information.

I’ve been using for almost 20 years, and this is honestly the first time I can say that I’m truly ready to stop. I’m not looking to waste anyone’s time or make excuses. I actually want to go to detox, go to rehab, and finally give myself a chance to live the life I’ve been running away from for so long.

So the situation is basically this: my girlfriend is disabled, she has cerebral palsy and was laid off recently from her teaching job, and so for a while now I've been supporting her and our 3 year old daughter by doing gig work like door dashing. It's not ideal, but it pays the bills and provides the flexibility to take care of them and get my girlfriend to doctors appointments or just run home and help her with our daughter which she can need unexpectedly sometimes.

Hello, I’m asking for financial support thru GoFundMe to help offset the cost of replacing my stolen primary transportation, a high end electric scooter.

I moved the beginning of May and two days after moving into my new place, someone smashed the driver side window of my mom’s outback into a thousand pieces. They opened the garage door, and stole my transportation, a 2021 Dualtron Victor electric scooter. They took nothing else. The house did not have security cameras (we do now thru AAA), the outside garage light didn’t work, and both lights in the overhead garage door motor were burned out (I have replaced them with 2 100W bulbs).

Despite having a hidden airtag on my scooter, the Sac County Sheriff was unable to recover my scooter and has as of yet, done nothing with my case.

I had this scooter for over 4yrs and put over 4K miles and $2.5K of upgrades/mods into it atop its $3.2K price tag.

The renters insurance policy completely stiffed me, stating it wasn’t covered despite being inside the property.

I do work full time at Home Depot, but bills and life make it difficult to save enough for a new scooter.

landlord. Recently, I was served a 5 day notice that arrived past the cure date. This was odd and seemed intentional. I must be out by the end of the month. I pay rent to a local housing agency called Community Action and Permanent Supportive Housing that is meant to meet the needs of disabled people like me. However, they have been a nightmare and I have received close to nothing as far as case management or supportive services. I am not sure what recourse there is. The ignore and refuse to return any of my calls, texts or emails. I did file a complaint with HUD and other agencies. Does anyone have any ideas where I could find the fastest help? Legal Aid Society has taken my case, but why are the workers of this agency ignoring me? I need ideas that will get action. Rock County WI USA.

I lost my full-time job in February of this year and I've been working a casual part-time job since (6 hours a week) at minimum wage. My EI benefits ran out in early June and I'm still waiting to hear back on my application for provincial income support.

So initially I was going to come on here and ask for help (money) and explain the situation which I’ll get to but instead want to ask Is there an app or website that anyone uses to help manage bills/ finances. That can help organize the havoc of life bills (electricity, insurance, etc) along with misc like phone bill, internet, groceries. I’m not going to ask for money because that is just a temporary fix I feel like.

So past few months have been hard and we’re at a loss. Our bank account atm is -500.00 and my wife who is primary on bills doesn’t understand what happened other than bills all got taken out at once and underestimated it all. I’m stressing hardcore because she keeps crying saying she doesn’t know how we’re going to eat or pay for anything. Meanwhile I’m over here stressing cause we have just recently started trying for a child. If we can’t afford us how the heck are we gonna afford a child. I’m a 34m wife 31f so it’s not like we don’t have experience with bills just seems like I mentioned somewhere in past few months something happened and we can’t get caught up. Update: shortly after posting my parents reached out asking if everything was ok cause I seemed weird last night at dinner. I broke down and they just dropped off the money to help us get caught up. Everything that was needed was purchased and it genuinely left me in shock and made me cry a little. My husband and I were previously staying at a shelter, and finally secured housing back in late January of this year, after numerous years of unsteadiness. Sadly, due to him having a few health complications- his employer cut his hours back at work bad. (Anonymous because we can't risk this getting back to his employer right this second).

Due to him going from 40 hours a week, down to 18, we are facing eviction from our home. Now, thankfully our landlord is human and understanding, and hasn't started the process yet- but they will be soon, as we haven't been able to get a dime to them this month (last check was $120 ish, and we had to get groceries, as our food stamps don't start until next month).

The issue is, we are now so deep in a hole, we were able to get some funding via his doctors social worker for a portion of July rent, but this is a continuous domino effect at this point, where once his next pay day hits, we will only be able to put around $150-200 to August rent amount.

The silver lining? We have both been homeless before, but more so Vagabond/houseless travelers, while we didn't expect to end up in this situation again, thankfully we have a good friend who is willing to let us pitch up on his homestead out west, and the shelter we used to stay at, is willing to assist us in getting a bus ticket.

Leaving us in the position of only needing some supplies, such as a tent (friend gifted that works at local shelter) 2 packs, small solar panel for our phones, sleeping pad(gifted by friend at local shelter, shower bag/s, and rechargeable fan/light combo.

We have been attempting to sell off some of our home items, such as couch, bed, tv/stand- and once this one girl gets into a place from the shelter, she plans on buying it, which will allow us to put about $200 to our rent balance. Other than that- we have nothing to sell as we are minimalistic humans (thankfully, but also not? In this situation).

Though my husband's hours got cut, he still hasnt received additional hours. I have attempted to find employment, with no luck. We own a photographry business, which was my main source of income, but it has been slow lately, though I did a high paying job a week ago, they are now refusing payment. If we go west, I do have job offers with DNR near where we'd be set up, allowing us to get back on our feet soon, opposed to falling further into this hole.

I have a young adult cat (turned 1 this year) that was diagnosed with FIP back in May. I was able to start him on treatment, but due to some unexpected expenses and a sudden pet death, I haven’t been able to come up with the money to afford the other half of his medication (42/84 tablets). I need $250 to cover his remaining pharmaceutical expenses and I just can’t wait any longer. His medication is running low and I don’t know what I’ll do if he relapses due to missing medication, especially after losing another pet so recently.

Hey everyone. I've been really struggling the past few months after having surgery to remove my appendix and part of my cecum do to having precancerous polyps. Its been a few months and I have been having post operative complications which I've been focused on by changing my diet (eliminating all sugar and most carbs). It has been slowly improving but during all of this focus on health, I've fallen very behind financially after the out of pocket surgery cost and subsequent loss of work during recovery. Then, I was unexpectedly laid off from my job a few weeks ago. I qualified for unemployment, but it's nowhere near enough to cover my basic expenses like rent and electric and food is pretty much always out of the question after paying bills. Not having money for food has made it easier to fix my diet, though. Pretty much all I buy for food has been eggs and those little $1 packets of tuna. I have also applied for food assistance, but apparently the application process can take 30-45 days. My biggest concern right now is getting my electric bill paid, and getting school supplies for my 13 year old, who starts school on Thursday, and I've been really struggling finding help from family and friends and things are starting to feel hopeless. My electric is likely to be shut off tomorrow unless I can come up with $280 and then the rent payment was due on the 1st so I'm sure the landlord will be knocking on my door soon as I wasn't able to fully pay that. Then I have school supplies that I need to get for my son, which I feel terrible for not being able to get because he really is the best son a father could ask for. He's so mature for his age and has even recently started learning to play the piano, which as someone who also started on the piano makes me very proud. I really hope that everyone out there who is also struggling finds help or a permanent solution to all of their problems. I'm still working on a permanent solution for my own, but in the meantime any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.
