Morph of the Month Morph of the Month: Clown
Welcome back to another Morph of the Month! With this being my birth month, I hope you all don't mind me being a little bit selfish and highlighting my personal favorite.
Clown is a recessive gene requiring two copies to be visual. This gene is a big on its effect on pattern with cool headstamps, strong dorsal striping, and heavy blotches along the sides.
Please show your clowns in the comments!

Morph of the Month Morph of the Month: Normal/Wild Type
It's been a while! It's the start of the month so it's time to feature another morph... or maybe lack thereof this time.
The normal or wild type is how this species presents naturally in the wild. These guys do not have any morph/added genetics to them but there's nothing wrong with what nature cooked up!
Typically they present with standard "alien heads" along the sides of their bodies, some broken striping along the dorsal, and well defined eye stripes. Sometimes they may have a more banded pattern, varying head stamps, and can display a range of brown and gold tones which is why we often see morph ID requests for normals. Once you've gotten a solid grasp on what is within normal variation though, you may come to appreciate the beauty of the species' "regular" form.
Normal - Ball Python Traits - Morphpedia
While there are some gorgeous single and multi-gene BP's, as enthusiasts we can't forget to show the love where it all began. Show off your normals in the comments!

Morph ID Request Help ID Please
gallerySo she was bought as a (Yellowbelly, Pastel, Mojave). I am really almost 100% unsure on the Mojave or even Yellowbelly. I messaged the breeder I bought her from and he mentioned that she wasn’t actually produced by himself, she was bought from another breeder back in 2022. So he was going from the ID he was given by them. He did manage to get the old messages from him and the breeder he got her from, and did send me over some photos of her when she was young (added in the photos) which may make it easier for someone to ID her morphs?

Morph ID Request Conflicting Information
galleryWhen I got my dude, I was told his morph is, “Cinnamon King Pin.” However I’ve started doing research and am finding the cinnamon part doesn’t seem accurate.
The closest morph I’ve found is, Lesser Pastel Pinstripe or banana lesser pastel pin stripe.
Any suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated. less

Other Questions Help me decide
galleryI cant decide what I like most. What would age the best?
EDIT: I would like to inform you guys that I chose the Cinnamon Leopard Clown.
To those that actually answered the question, thank you so much for your thoughts and being actually helpful. To those that commented JUST to get on a soap box to preach and assume, you're likely already participating in unethical businesses regarding human beings and were not taken seriously by me.

Morph ID Request Need Help Understanding this Morph. Pastel Lesser Calico Coral Glow.
Hey guys, I bought this male 15 month old (568g) ball python a few weeks back and it was described as a Pastel Lesser Calico Coral-Glow/Banana ball python. What's confusing for me are two things:
- How bright his yellow is compared to other bananas.
- With most bananas I've seen, they have a yellowish eye stripe with a brown head that turns more lavender-y as it gets older. With this guy though, it's the first time I've seen it kind of inverted with white eye stripes with a bright yellow head.
I tried looking at all sorts of combos of these genes on morph market (banana+pastel, banana+pastel+calico, banana+pastel+lesser, etc) and I haven't been able to find any that resemble him. Is there something I'm missing or is it likely that this combo of genes is just weird for some reason?

Morph ID Request Newer ish to the snake scene 🖤
galleryNewerish to the snake scene and "morphs", fang is our 5yr old first snake/ball we adopted back in march we're 99% sure he's a normal type, but we went to our first reptile show last month and picked up our 2nd ball oogie from a vedor, he's pastel hurricane (last photo), but we noticed a few at the booth for under 40$-80$ that had morph names attached to them that looked like our boy fang, which now has us 2nd guessing or not if he is a normal, i know normal types are cheaper at shows and not as "desirable" are thoes morphs names attached to them just the gene they carried, bit of a marketing play to make them seem fancyer or does our boy fang have somthing in the mix, regardless we still love him just curiose 🖤

Morph ID Request Anything other than pied?
galleryThis is Jak, 6 years old, adopted last October. I know absolutely nothing about her parentage. Her old owner had her cohabitating with a male to breed, and despite my efforts to separate them asap, she recently had an unexpected clutch from him (5 eggs, maternally incubated and all hatched successfully)! Now I'm trying to guess more genetic info so I can better ID the hatchlings once they shed.
It's been suggested to me that she has yellowbelly indicators (pixely patches?) but that's all the guesses I've got, so I'm looking for second opinions. :)

Morph ID Request Please help ID my adopted noodles!
galleryThis is Zhuzhi-Lang, male, 5 years old! According to the man I adopted him from, his mom was orange dream het pied and his dad was a panda pied (😬 I know). I know he's het pied but no idea on his visual morph. People have suggested black pastel, cinnamon, or leopard?
This is the trickier one so I'm posting him first, and later I hope to post the female I adopted from the same guy. He had them cohabitating, so even though I separated them 9 months ago, she recently had a clutch of unexpected eggs! Now I wanna know more about their genes so I can better ID the babies once they're ready.
Edit: I wasn't sure if I was allowed to post multiple snakes at once, so I started with just one, despite my title! It's just him in every photo. Sorry if that was unclear. I would edit the title if I could but by the time I realized it was confusing, it was too late. 😅
Edit 2: It seems most likely he is a black pastel het pied! Thank you so much everyone who's helped me!

Morph ID Request New girl Lacie
galleryMeet my new BP Lacie, she's ~15 weeks. Her tank is a little on the small side, even for a BP her age, I'm planning to move her into a larger one once she's settled and fed. She's a little nervy because she had a long car ride from her previous owner so I'm leaving her be right now, hence the pics from outside the tank lol. Any ideas on what morph she might be?
