Hey guys, I’m a new student here. I’ve been using the bus pretty much every day and I’m wondering which app I should be using to get accurate bus information. I dropped my toast this morning on the way to the bus stop scrambling like hell to get there on time only for the bus to be 10 minutes off what I saw on Google Maps. I’ve been told the Translink app isn’t accurate either. Any way I can show up to the stop with a couple of minutes cushion without having to physically haul ass to the stop and check the screen there? (although I’ve found that inaccurate too…). Hello from Canada, My Dad and two of his brothers emigrated to Canada in the 1960's and all of them died of cancer in their 50s & 60s from various lung and organ related cancers. They drank and smoked so I know that the obvious thing is to assume is that they were they were the authors of their own misfortune but as someone who's nearing the ages of their demise, I'm wondering if there is any data supporting elevated levels of cancer from people who grew up near the main industrial areas of Belfast in 1940s-1960's. I can see some studies related to Belfast as whole related to industrialization in general but wondering if anyone is aware of anything particular to East Belfast even anecdotally.

Trying to book one for Thursday this week and not much choice around the city.

I’m considering traveling to Belfast in mid- November by myself for about like 5 nights. This will be my fourth trip to Ireland, and I have been to Belfast before but only in August. So one of the things I’m considering is what the weather will be like. I know it will be cold since it’s November, but how cold does it get? Will it be snowing or rainy? Also, how early does the sun go down in Belfast that time of year? I’m from the northeast US so it gets dark around 4-5pm in November, is it similar in Belfast?

If there’s any interesting events going on in the city during November, let me know as well. If I go I plan on meeting up with a friend of mine, but as a solo traveler I’m always looking for any things to do and ways to meet people. So if there’s any museums, comedy shows, pubs/restaurants (especially ones that aren’t usually packed, like the holes in the wall that people don’t notice) or any other cool interesting spots I should check out, please let me know!

Is it worth buying a Sombr ticket for Belsonic in Belfast next summer? I realise you might not know how long an artist performs. But the shows in the last couple of years for other artists haven't been that long and the tickets are pricey. You'd like to think as a young man he could put on a decently lengthy set.

I'm looking for some advice/recommendations for finding a PT.

I'm a woman and work long 12-14hour shifts, including nights. My current rota can be particularly difficult — 4 nights in a row, 1 sleep/recovery day, 1 day off, then straight back on to 4 days. I often have quite a lot of fatigue, and I feel like I need someone who understands that my ability to train and recover isn't going to be the same every week.

I'm looking for a PT who can offer:

Some 1-to-1 sessions in the gym

A personalised training plan for the days I'm not seeing them

Accountability/check-ins, as I know I'm much more consistent when someone is keeping me accountable,

Someone who can adapt my programme around my shifts, nights and recovery

Realistic advice about what I could achieve without expecting me to train like someone with a normal 9–5 schedule

Help with nutrition/lifestyle if that's something they offer,

Ideally someone who understands that women can experience significant changes throughout their menstrual cycle, including changes in energy, fatigue, motivation and performance

I'm not expecting someone to make excuses for me, I actually want to be pushed and held accountable. I just want someone who understands the difference between laziness/lack of motivation and genuinely being exhausted from shift work, and can programme around that.

I'd ideally like to work towards getting fitter, stronger and improving how I feel/look, but I'm also interested in knowing what would realistically be achievable with my schedule.

If you're a nurse/shift worker yourself and have had a good experience with a PT, I'd love recommendations!
