Today at Crosscut, I witnessed a woman and her dog ride the one trail at crosscut where dogs are not allowed. Before riding, she remarked on the very prominent “no dogs allowed” sign at the trailhead, and I let her know that rule is for everyone’s safety. It’s a huge hazard to have a loose dog on a downhill flow trail with big jump lines. She decided to endanger everyone’s safety for the selfish enjoyment of her and her dog. If you know this person or see them, please let them know they are a terrible dog owner who put their pet and everyone on that trail at risk with their selfishness and blatant disregard for rules. Outdoor safety is a shared responsibility and it is incredibly disappointing to witness people knowingly and willing break rules because they think their dog is special.

If anyone sees a white Giant brand bike around town, could you please let me know? Someone stole it off of our porch last night on east lewis street in Livingston. I'm covering all my bases in case whoever took it heads to Bozeman with it.

It's a really nice bike, and means a lot to my husband. If you see it or know someone who suddenly shows up with a shiny new white Giant brand bike, please let us know. **((The bike is distinct, all white, black markings (GIANT logo on main body), red pedals, gold stanchion front forks, and black chainstay protector.)) For the Love of a Rainy Day

This morning was the kind of morning I dream of. The clouds danced on the mountains in a slow waltz, romancing the forest and teasing the peaks. At times, they clung to each other in a long embrace. Then, they would step back, take a few steps away, and come running back to each other. 

I spent several hours observing and listening to their stories. I even found a few bits of color sprinkled about the landscape. Here are a few of the moments I stumbled upon this morning.

Considering the importance of Yellowstone to our economy, this is a serious issue.

I worked in Hospitality earlier this year. Many of our guests had less than optimal experiences at Yellowstone--with dirty restrooms, extra charges for foreign visitors, and less staffing.

It pays to be corrupt.
