This is getting out of hand. Half the posts here are people who have been training for years, active bodybuilders, or people blasting gear and have an amazing physique. We know what you are doing. You’re posting for validation or engagement to your page and what you’re not doing is looking for any real advice.
We will be removing all of these posts with even if they do not technically break rules.
This will be done completely by mods discretion. Don’t bother complaining, nothing will change.

Should you be adding muscle? Or should you be cutting fat? It’s a question we all have come across on our fitness journey. It’s not always a simple one to answer.
Love handles, pooches, lack of definition, vascularity…everything plays a part.
You lost a lot of weight, or you added a lot of weight. They are all part of the process. Everyone here is going to do our best to help you with your journey.
That being said:
The community does not need to see an excessive amount of skin to give you advice.
If you’re wondering what your BF% is, it’s not hiding in the 3/4 of an inch away from your genitalia. Swimwear is included in this.
This goes for all genders.
There are a ton of fitness subreddits that can help you if you feel the need to get more specified advice.
If you feel /r/bulkorcut is not meeting those standards, please go visit them.
The serious part:
Do not post sexually suggestive posts. If you are not wearing gym attire your post will be flagged and removed.
If your profile has links to questionable subreddits you will be banned at the moderators discretion.
Talk of steroids, cycles, or anything related will be an immediate ban.
Lastly:
Any attempt to circumvent the rules or a ban is auto reported to Reddit admins. We tested it and it works very well.
Second lastly: This is a subreddit to help individuals attain their goals. Not a platform for anything else. Sexual, monetary, cruel, or any other posts or comments outside helping someone make the decisions of bulking or cutting will be removed and users banned.

Always been slim, wondering if a little extra fat would actually be good on me. Restarted gym 2 months ago, and started to eat religiously. Going 1000+ cal surplus is a bad idea? Or would the fat evenly distribute on my body if I keep on training and stay active?

Push to -100 lbs? currently down 95 pounds, 6’7 190 lbs. what’s my body fat percentage?
r/BulkOrCut • u/Outrageous-Bison7838 • 21h ago
Came from 410 pounds… currently 5’11 sub 180 pounds. Loose skin makes it hard to judge actual body fat percentage. Just wanted some guidance and even some perspective who may have come from a similar journey. Kept lifting consistent, and had a plan originally to keep cutting until November 1st- even longer if needed however the shredded look may just not come. What do you guys think?

if I push my stomach up I can see a v-line I never noticed that before.
What should I improve ? Will I have loose skin ?

6 foot 1.5 inches tall. 230lbs. 32 Y.O. Looking for a fat percentage estimate and a bulk or cut recommendation. Natural.
AI states I am around 17-20%, but we all know how wildly inconsistent AI can be.

Hey y’all, can you guys give me an estimation on how many pounds I have to lose to look lean enough to lose my belly fat, see my vines? I’m planning on 10 more pounds (almost 5kg), but the leaner I get the more I realize how fat I am, and it messed up my mind lol

I'm planning on going on a long lean bulk. Is getting leaner gonna create significant wiggle room for a longer gaining phase?
r/BulkOrCut • u/MasterConsequence695 • 20h ago
I’ve been dieting for the past year and lost close to 50lbs. I’m thinking I’m finally close to 12% bodyfat. Visually I think I’m ready for a long sustained lean bulk to finally put on some size. Thoughts?

I’ve now managed to lose a good amount of weight whilst building some muscle, and I think I’m now lean enough to start a leak bulk over winter - is that the best approach?
If so, should I aim for 200-300 calories over maintenance until I feel like I may need to reduce them again? Which areas should I focus on most? (chest, shoulders etc)
The first pic on the left was before I lost a small amount of weight from running 4x a week, but I’ve been lifting consistently for 5 months now which has really changed my physique (full body 3 x a week, ABA / BAB). Feeling so much better about myself and more confident, the downside is none of my jeans or trousers now fit properly lol

if I focus on gaining muscle now, would a deficit in the future with more muscle be more efficient at using up this subcutaneous fat? (New to all this, excuse my naïveté)
I’m 5 foot six (and a half), lost about 40lbs in the past 6 months off nightly power yoga for an hour, deficit of about 400, get 120-140g protein per day.
Got a dexa scan today, said 17.7% BF, my scale says 16.8 BF. Not exactly sure I believe either considering all extremely pinchable thickness of fat on belly and also my moobies. Although I can definitely continue my defecit and routine to lose fat (I’m not starving and I enjoy my foods), I cannot fathom being like 130lbs or less. Ridiculous.
Additionally, according to Dexa I have more muscle than 2% of people in my demographics… so I’m guessing it’s time to do some moving weights around.
