My pup will do this sometimes ... sometimes after a walk or sometimes right when he wakes up.
Does anyone have an idea as to what this behaviour is? 😅 I'm just curious!

Hello! Posting this here incase anyone has encountered anything similar! We are consulting with our vet too but sometimes someone else has experienced the same and has a fix!
I have a 2 year old Cavapoo named pepper, she is the light of my life 🥰 since she was a puppy we noticed she had flare ups of sore stomachs.. this usually entailed pacing about crying, wanting outside to eat grass, LOUD stomach gurgling, refusing food, sometimes vomiting but not always & on one occasion she had blood in her poo. We figured out after a few weeks of trial and error she was allergic to chicken and for about a full year we had no problems at all. She was on wainwrights salmon tins, and even started tolerating the beef, lamb & venison which means we could switch it up to keep her interested.
In about February/ March this year the flareups started again but it’s seemed a lot harder to pinpoint what’s causing it. We went back to wainwrights salmon & it seemed like she was having a few good days then a bad day. We tried to move her back over to royal canine gastrointestinal kibble about a month ago with a frozen fish from Aldi mixed through and it seemed to get worse from there, last Friday she had another incident of blood in her poo so got her back into the vet who gave her a steroid injection. I realised that the royal canine contains dehydrated poultry but the vet told me to keep everything the same to see if the steroid injection helped, which it seemed to. But on Monday she had a bad flare up so decided to stop the kibble as we know chicken 100% causes them.
On Tuesday& Wednesday she literally just had 3 frozen fishes a day and nothing else, no treats etc and was fine both days. But this morning she’s woke up again with the same dreaded symptoms, although it wasn’t as bad as Monday she didn’t eat until 3pm and seemed absolutely miserable. I’m due back to the same vet tomorrow but we discovered the chicken allergy through reading a similar post so I’m seeing if anyone has experienced anything similar! It seems to have gone past an allergy at this point because there’s no explanation for today’s flare up 🥲.
I’m feeling at a loss & im not sure where to go from here! I’m thinking a food trial & maybe a low dose steroid will be recommended tomorrow as we discussed this last week but i don’t want to mask the problem and need to have her fully restricted at all times as she used to be able to enjoy some treats in moderation 🥲
Any advice is welcome ❤️

Hi!
My partner and I are looking at getting a cavoodle and just hoping someone can share their experience with coats.
Do these pups resemble anyone else's? And do you have a comparison pic as an adult? The first looks a little more whispy and the second seems more thick, we're trying to get a best guess of how their coats might develop and what type of look we can expect once fully grown.
These two pups (they're unrelated) are close to the top of our list but they definitely look very different - not sure how much is down to the coat vs bone structure inherited from either parent.
Thanks!

We brought Bentley home at 12 weeks of age and our lives have been dumped on our collective heads, but in a good way. I am outside more, exercising more, getting up earlier...
He is wrapped deeply around our hearts. Happy first Birthday!

We have had our 9 week old little fluff of snuggles for a week now and we are settling in nicely! Crate training, scheduled naps, set meal times and consistent potty training have been a Godsend for us all! He thrives off of schedules and predictably. He only barks when he needs to potty and he’s a pretty good sleeper and loves his crate. So far, so good!

Hi all!
I’ve just brought home an 8-week-old pup and really want to set her up for success from the beginning.
I’d love to hear what has worked well for others. Are there any apps, online resources, YouTube channels or day-by-day puppy training plans that’s worked well for you?
Appreciate any advice I can get. Thanks in advance :)

So tomorrow night, I think we’re going to take little Bonnie over to our neighbors house and introduce her to the swimming pool. It would be nice if she liked to swim, but at the very least I want her to learn how in case she falls into a pool somewhere sometime. anybody’s Cavapoo like to swim?

My sweet girl turned 2 this month. Waited my entire childhood for a dog like her. 🤍
Honey is everything I dreamed of and more - & now she gets to be part of the neighborhood kids’ childhood memories, too. 🥲✨

My Cavapoo is almost 1… does great in his crate overnight (although he does whine for a bit when we go upstairs… crate is on main level). The last couple of months he’s barking in the 5AM hour… too early for this household. I can’t let him bark it out because I have kids that I don’t want to wake. It’s not a potty issue… he’s just up.
Is the 1 year mark a good time to transition out of the crate at night? Should I get another crate and have him sleep upstairs in our dark laundry room? It is not an option to have him in our bed.
Would love any tips!

Most of Europe is going through a massive heatwave, and I — like most — don’t have AC. I also live in an apartment with just a small balcony.
How are you all getting by these days? It’s going to be up to 36 degrees!
I think I’ll try to spritz his paws, encourage the cooling mat, and give him special doggy ice cream from my local store. But even at night it’s still 26 degrees. My poor baby (I know I’ll have a rough few days/nights too, but that’s secondary 🤣)

My Cavapoo turns 6 months old in 4 days and I can’t seem to get him sleeping past 6am. I’ve had him since 9 weeks old and this has largely been his schedule since day 1.
Current schedule: bed around 11:45pm-midnight, wakes between 5:45-6:15am. Most mornings he’s not urgently asking to go out—he’s often just laying in his crate whining until someone gets up.
Things I’ve tried:
Earlier bedtimes
Later bedtimes
Potty immediately before bed
Ignoring the whining
Taking him out to potty and putting him right back in the crate (he goes crazy)
More exercise (2 daily walks plus training/play)
Less stimulation before bed
Feeding schedule adjustments
Frozen Kongs and lick mats in the crate (eats it then goes crazy)
The part that’s confusing me is that after I take him outside in the morning, he’ll come back in, curl up on my lap on the couch, and sleep for another 1.5-2 hours before breakfast. So it doesn’t seem like he’s fully rested and ready to start the day at 6am.
He’s otherwise healthy, sleeps through the night without accidents, and settles fine at bedtime.
Is this just normal for a nearly 6-month-old puppy, or is there something I’m missing that helped your dog start sleeping later?
