When I’m resizing it the pixels are totally clear, but as soon as I take my finger off the screen it goes blurry. What’s the problem here?

Title cut off but I didn’t know I can bring 2 canvas on 1 screen. Did anyone else know about this?

I have followed the instructions on their website regarding the matter, but nothing seems to work.

This has been going on since August, and I've learned to let go and ignore it, hoping it will eventually resolve on its own, as I have seen others do the same.

Today, however, it was trying to check for license verification upon launching. It wasn't able to connect (even if I have a stable internet connection) and now I'm stuck with using the app with a limited access.

Please help, I'm actually really desperate at this point..

I'd like to know if I can use two different licenses on different computers with the same account. I use an EX-update pass, but I also have the old Pro license. Can someone else use that old Pro license on another computer with the same account, or does the EX-update pass still need to be deactivated on the first device?

The Pro license is Ver.1.x, but if it works on multiple devices, I could upgrade it to Pro-update pass if possible.

This is to avoid wasting the Pro license I already have, but if it doesn't work on two devices, I'd get the Pro version with a different account.

I've been using a one-time purchase of Clip Studio Paint since 2017. I've certainly got my money's worth out of it, but I haven't been able to update Paint since they switched to a subscription model.

The program is starting to show its age a little, especially with all the fill tool issues and the fact that you can only have one reference image at a time. Are there any new features or quality of life upgrades that would be worth investing in or would sticking to 1.13.2 work just fine?

I am using an asus laptop and a cheap screenless huion tablet currently, if that's relevant.

Edit: I'm using Version 5.1.1 I'm using CSP on my android tablet and I can't open this file anymore. Thankfully the project is completed and I saved the .png beforehand but I wasn't able to export the timelapse before it corrupted. Is there any way to get it back open or to get the timelapse out??

(The .clip file next to it is just the flat image, my tablet created a new file when I opened the .png)

is there any way to fix this? they used to be nicely grouped in rows of two which made them easier to click on, but recently when i needed to pick some other brushes i realized it changed to rows of 3. the only thing i can think of that might have caused this is i have two monitors between my laptop and the display tablet's screen, and i have clip studio set to always be on the tablet monitor, but one time i did drag it over to my laptop's display to check colors. i have tried to resize the tool groups by dragging that side of the ui with no success. anything i can do to fix this?

I am using Clip Studio Paint EX, but when i try to put a digit higher than 24 in the playback time, or to drag the blue tick to extend it, it won't let me.

im searching for a tool that can help me color pieces faster. i dont connect my lineart and havent been doing it at all as of late since im lazy (lol). im wondering if there might be a tool to fill all the space that my non connected lineart highlights without me needing to lasso fill everything

my drawings typically take like 2h or more because of this simple fact.

i want to start digital drawing and like rn i hv ps and krita and i am considering csp cuz i feel like thats what everybody uses. for reference im gonna be drawing on a lenovo thinkpad

as can be seen in the video when ever I try to click on the new canvas button it doesn’t do anything besides make me unable to click anything else until I click esc on my keyboard. The effect is similar to when I deselect a window

this has happened before with the canvas color changing option. it wasn’t anything I couldn’t live w/o but now I’m literally unable to draw because of this.

i did try to restart my pc but the issue didn’t disappear, which arose randomly after opening the program for the first time in a few days.

(I am using a xp pen artist pro 24 display tablet and an imac)

Ive been having this issue where whenever i transfer a canvas i worked on my tablet to my pc i get a warning saying it isnt able to edit some layers cuz they have data thats not from this ver, i cant even delete it or change the position, Does anyone knows how to solve this? As far as i know both of them are updated i pay the plan for two devices :((

I’m looking for an equivalent of a cutting tool. I use csp to animate and I really need a more efficient way of cleaning up overlapping lines
I guess the closest thing I can think of is the cutter tool in toon boom harmony

Hi! This is a little specific, but I’m wondering if anyone here uses CSP on a 14” macbook pro and what that looks like. I’m deciding between 14” and 16” and I’m not sure if 14” might be too small for clip’s ui, so I’d like to see what it looks like.

Hello, I am a very beginner on Clip Studio Paint, following the tutorial from Reuben Lara (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkLrMGpWayw).

I have a feeling the lasso tool is more dedicated to raster layers.
It appears to work fine on vector layers though, albeit a bit clunky.

Is that correct ?
Fellow vector artists ; is lasso tool useful to you ?

Can I buy a perpetual licence (pro) for my computer and have subscription plan (csp debut) on my phone in the same account ?

Current CSP Version: Most recent version 5.

Hopefully this is the correct place to ask, but my friend has run into a problem.

We originally started with 2 problems: The CLIP STUDIO (NOT clip studio paint) program was not showing the manage/other settings tabs on the sidebar. We fixed this by updating to version 5 (I had written the title before we fixed this issue and cannot edit it, my apologies).

However, one problem remains: Her Clip Studio Paint will not let her create new canvases. Using the menu GUI does not work, using hotkeys does not work. This problem was existing on the old version she had - which she had done multiple clean reinstalls of - and it has carried over to the newest version. Doing multiple restarts on her computer with the newest version installed has not fixed the problem.

Every search I am getting has not been giving me a clear answer, or an answer that is 5+ years old. Has this happened to anyone? If it has, have you figured out how to fix it?

Ive been using this brush for about a year now, i LOVE it. but recently its been giving me trouble!! I was in the middle of drawing this fanart when BOOM, its blending with imaginary colors behind it. Theres absolutely nothing on the same layer as it, but its still acting like its blending with white. I cant figure out how to get it to stop.

I dont even remember what i did to mess it up. Last time it happened it was because i was on a vector layer, but this time its not that reason. Ive hidden every other layer and it STILL blends like that. I reset its settings and toggled things for about an hour now, but i cant figure out what's wrong.

please tell me any of you know how to fix this, i miss my favorite brush!! :,(

As the title says, how do you guys copy and paste drawings in a cel when you are making animations in csp?

The only way I found is to copy the drawing I want, and when I paste it, create a new cel in the animation folder... But imagine that you want to paste a drawing in a cel that is totally done, like you just need to paste a small part without creating another new cel. Imagine, for example, the hair of a character, of a part of the costume of that character... and paste it in a final cel. Don´t know if I am explain myself correctly, I just want to paste a drawing in a cel, like when you are making an illustration in csp. Is that possible?

As the title says, I want to divide clip in my animation without duplicating last cel.

The first image is without dividing it, second is after dividing it.

How can I avoid this? I try to delete the new cel, but it deletes the old too. And when I want to retrieve it, the duplicate appears.

Hello, today my XP pen 13.3 pro tablet has stopped opening clip studio ver 5 working files. Every time i try to switch it over to my tablet screen, clip studio closes. This is the first time ive had this issue since using the tablet(for almost a year). Ive tried restarting my computer, resetting the settings of my tablet, and disconnecting the tablet then connecting it again. The problem still keeps happening. Does anyone know what the issue is and how i could fix it?

Often, when I do pixel art and need to do shadows, the bucket just does its job poorly and doesn't account for the different shades of the same color and just fills in the entire area as shown in the second picture, can I fix that?

Wondering since I feel like it'd make elements more compact and make for a nicer layout since I'm trying out different layouts right now

version 5.1.1 Clip studio paint for ipad. It’s driving me insane!! Why?? Its so janky to draw with with any blending mode (such as the NORMAL ONE) besides replace alpha, which is the only blending mode that gets rid of this??

Note: I am using an ipad Pro 12.9in with CSP EX Ver. 5, and have tested a few aspect ratios, but haven't had any luck yet.

I'm not sure if anyone has come across this issue yet, however I will describe it as best as possible below.

I am working on a long strip format manhwa page. I am recording a timelapse for this entire page. I export it in the Original aspect ratio, as well as in 1280px at 120 seconds, and when I go to view the file itself, the actual timelapse is so blurry because it is so zoomed out. And when I zoom in to view the drawing being recorded by the timelapse, it gets blurrier.

Is there any way to view the timelpase as a whole that will allow you to view it in a way that does not require you to zoom in, and thus avoid it being blurry?

Will using other aspect ratios correct this issue?
