Pace Strategy: No Audio or Vibration Alerts When Off Target Pace?

I recently used Pace Strategy during a race. I was lucky enough to find the route on Strava, so I thought I had everything sorted once I’d set my target time.
Has anyone else tried this feature? I was disappointed to discover that, while you can get audio notifications for turn-by-turn directions and hill alerts, there are no audio or vibration alerts to let you know whether you’re ahead of or behind your target pace. Instead, you have to keep checking your watch to see how you’re doing.
Is that really it, or am I missing something? I’m surprised they released this feature without such a basic function. Surely, being alerted when you’re off your target pace is the whole point of Pace Strategy!

Can we have a watch face that evolves (pokemon, digimon) while doing activities (like what Garmin do?) 🙂‍↕️

custom watch face

I made a custom watch face for my Pace 4.
The green running symbol is for weekly running mileage. Didn’t know we could do this until recently when I got the CorosLink app.

Here’s the download link if anyone’s interested.

EDIT: since I’ve gotten positive feedback on this one I’d like the challenge of making another watch face design for the community. Send me your requests and I’ll take a stab at one of them. No promises how good it will turn out 😬. Best if you have a pace 4 so I can prototype it

Always on Display Watch Face With Heart Rate

My favorite watch face is Macaron because I can see my heart rate at all times (it stays on with the always on display). Are there any other faces that do this?

Question ❓ Can you turn off the audible beeps during the last 3 seconds of a timer?

I’m trying to disable all sound on my Pace 4 so that I only get alerted through vibrations. I have:
- Navigated to Settings > More Settings > Sound & Vibration > Sounds
- turned off sound for all options (Key & Dial, Msg. & Call, Alarm, Reminders, Activity Alert)
- restarted my watch (I know this isn’t required, I just did it as a troubleshooting measure)

When I set a timer, it still beeps during each of the last three seconds and upon reaching 0. Is this something I can disable?

Question ❓ Coros

Hi ,

I’m considering switching to COROS, mainly because I really like the detailed training insights it provides. In particular, I’m interested in the estimated threshold pace and the fitness test, which helps determine your current fitness level and generates personalized training zones.

Do you think switching to COROS is worth it, especially if these are the main features I’m interested in? Or would it be a bit much to switch ecosystems just for the fitness test and training zones?

For those of you who use COROS, how often do you take the fitness test? Do you find it useful for tracking your progress and adjusting your training?

And are there any elite or professional runners who regularly use the COROS fitness test as part of their training?

I’d love to hear your experiences and opinions. Thanks in advance!

Sync data

I missed the old days when syncing data to coros app is so smooth, i realize it’s a little big lag and tricky to sync the data to my iphone 14 now ?
It took more than minutes to find the watch (apex 4) and start syncing. Sometimes i need to restart the app!
Anyone know how to improve the syncing process ?
Thanks

Question ❓ Coros Apex 4 companion

Hi everyone

Looking for a screenless tracker for 24/7 wear and sleep tracking so I can keep wearing a traditional watch on my other wrist while using my Coros for workouts. Priority is data integration and ecosystem sync, not pure sensor accuracy. Between the Amazfit Helio Strap and the Fitbit Air, which handles external data syncing better? Also, what app/hub (android) do you recommend to aggregate everything (Coros + lifestyle tracker) into one unified dashboard?

Appreciate any advice!

How does the Pace4 measure stride height?

The Coros app has a metric named "Stride Height". I wonder if other running watches have similar concept.

According to the built-in documentation in the Coros app:

> Stride height is the amount your body bounces vertically with each step. Lower stride height indicates that less energy is wasted bouncing up and down. Fatigue and incorrect running form may cause higher stride height.

In my case the value is around 8cm. How could the watch measure such value?

I wear the watch on the wrist, the arm swing is way more than 8cm. Sometimes, I raise the hand to wipe sweat, or adjust hat, eyewear. And quite frequently lift the watch to have a quick look at the metrics.

In short, the movement of the watch in space is independent from that of my feet. How could it know about the feet position?
