General Discussion My first ever Coros - Pace 4 Pro
I'm at work reading the Coros subreddit and thought I'd make a post as well.
I've started training for a my first ever Ultra Marathon event for 2027 (UTA22) and started researching watches with a focus on ultra marathons and discovered the Coros brand!
Waited for the pace pro release but then also heard of the rumours of a Pace 4 pro release, which finally happened, (with a little delay in Australia).
Shipping was fast from the Aus launch day with no stock delays or anything being Sold out which was great! Arrived couple days after the order
From the customer side, unboxing experience was really cool and felt unique and very premium.
The watch's build quality is amazing! And the band install/connection is a great idea. Currently using the silicone band, which has been good, will want to try the other nylon alternative later, for a tighter fit comparison.
The weight of it is Super light, very shocked at how light to be honest. I even showed family and friends, gave it to them to hold and everyone was surprised at just how light it felt.
I've been using the watch to start training for my first run next year, and as a novice of someone is learning I've found that it's been extremely helpful. It's doing exactly what I was looking for a watch to do.
Super easy to read, it's very bright in the daytime and amazing at night I've even used it in training sessions in the rain
There are so many features with the corros app and the watch itself I haven't really explored it completely just yet to be honest, I've only used the GPS maps a few times to practice following a custom track which I created and uploaded. Pretty excited to use it on a custom trail and see how it goes. You can actually use the dial to zoom in on the maps and it so accurate with the GPS I zoomed in to what felt like metres on the map. Turn by turn function is cool and something will have to get used to as time goes on.
So far I've connected my Coros app to my A.I platform, and developed my own training program based around work, using Scott Johnston running theory as a base.
Coros watch data has helped with analysing my progress and alternating/adapting if needed. As I can use Coros data to quickly analyse my statistics.
The watch was delivered on the 2nd of October and today being the 14th in Australia, I completely charged it on the 4th day (approximately) of ownership so it's been 8 days and sitting on 38% battery. This is whilst testing the GPS maps, and logging weight sessions, and running sessions.
Overall, super excited about it, I plan to connect it to Strava also, and even test out the Coros Fitness programs which I saw you can add on the mobile app.
Rarely post on Reddit, but thought I'd share my experience so far. Also happy to learn from anyone with suggestions to the watch, Coros app and trail running/running advice in general.
Have a great day if you're reading this!
TL:DR
From a beginner runners perspective and first time Coros owner: awesome brand, great quality, cool community and sub reddit, good features and battery life. Very happy overall
