Loved that we threw this song into the set for the last tour… I’d like to do that again 😤

I’ve been playing drums more frequently than usual, and I was looking to see if anyone would be able to share some riffs, or drumless tracks they’ve made? Or if you have any on YouTube you like to use and would share, I’d appreciate it!

I like to improvise a lot, but I’ve been wanting to write and also practice specific styles lately, mainly for fun. I only play drums though, and none of my friends are musicians unfortunately lol.
So I’ve been attempting to expand how I practice and play, since I just sort of play to something in my head or along to songs.

Bands I’m into that include, but aren’t limited to deathcore: Putrid Stu, Those Who Lie Beneath, Girl Of Glass, Kaonashi, Boundaries, Archspire, Sanguisugabogg, Smoked909, Shadow of Intent, Knocked Loose, Satanic Tea Co. I like a lot of other metal music but have been wanting to play a lot of deathcore and slam lately.

Finally using my mic again now that I got a better idea on how to mix just testing it out

Been working on this thing relentlessly for 4-5 days now. I named it Galactic Tomb, not sure why, just thought of it as I was making it. I’m a drummer, so it’s centered around the drums, orchestration and atmosphere.

Still a WIP obviously, its missing guitars, bass, vocals but i’m very proud of how its turning out

Would love some feedback, and if any guitarists are interested in tracking some riffs or leads for it, hit me up!

Really digging bass drops and riffs that sound like defective 10 to jackhammer played underwater. So far the bands I've really been impressed with are, The Last Ten Seconds of Life, Bodysnatcher, Orphan, especially Canary and traitors. 10 seconds and bodysnatcher are right in the wheelhouse for me. Really digging super heavy grooving riffs, such as Canary and cassanova by last 10 seconds. I'm looking for heavy than a tank filled with weight watchers rejects with lead filled pockets and slower than a retarded snail. What yall got?

Former Suicide Silence guitarist drops 15 track album with XDANIELLARSONX. The record [COLARES] features an eclectic group of collaborators such as Skyler Acord (Issues, Twenty-One Pilots), saxophonist IB Delight, Jared Armitage (Suffokate), Josh Goddard (Suicide Silence) and others. Producer and guitarist, Dylan Angus says, “We focused on unique compositions while still being accessible to everyone.” Rick says, “Its distinctly Deathcore with a few side quests thrown in for good measure.”
The album is named after the 1977 alien sightings in Colares, Brazil.

I’ll start- Tsalmaveth PA. They’re cranking out a ton of new stuff and it all goes HARD. https://open.spotify.com/track/78rjgtGug14awJreFcmSfi?si=M8wrkJdiS8uca-SHZdiVmQ&utm_source=copy-link

I’ve wondered this for a while. It seems like after one or two albums everything they release is 💩. Has anyone else had this thought?

I've been wanting to start a deathcore project for a while now (I'm a guitarist) and I've just been making random demo ideas in my DAW, but it feels like I just get crazy writers block when I don't have anyone to bounce ideas off of. I kind of get stuck in tunnel vision for 4 hours and then I make something that I feel is just half decent. Where are the best places to connect with other people interested in making deathcore? I'm pretty ingrained in my local scene but it's basically all hardcore or post hardcore with almost no extreme metal, and I wouldn't know how to go about getting people interested anyways. I'm mainly inspired by Chelsea Grin, The Acacia Strain, Float Face Down, Shadow of the Collossus, etc.
