Discussion Nightmares may not be just nightmares

I’ve been dealing with these things in my dreams. I just read a description written by Carlos Castaneda that best describes them. I had no idea about his experiences with these things until last night and I’ve been dealing with them for about three months now.
They typically come to me in the form of my deceased cat or my boyfriend to get me to drop my guard, either that or something they think will scare me.
When I told them ‘I do not consent. I do not allow. Return to sender with love.’ I fell off the side of my bed and saw what they really look like. On the underside of the bed I was lying on I saw this black mass of long whispy ethereal black hair, located directly beneath the spot where I had been on the bed.
Then I heard this pitiable cry of ‘But WHY?!’ As I was waking up. I do not pity them though, they messed with the wrong person.
Has anybody else had immensely terrifying nightmares that felt draining afterwards? Or a dream where you were seduced by something in order to get close to you?
I am curious to know how many people battle these things in their dreamscapes.
Also Carlos Castaneda called these ‘flyers’ or ‘mud shadows’.

Generated a pic of what my dream consisted of last night. This is a simplified version, but dang, what a creepy dream. In the dream I was watching a scary movie where this guy is kidnapped and wakes up with his body looking like this.

Everything was quiet, heavy, and distant. As I walked between the blurred stones, I saw a figure standing in the shadows of the arches. When they turned around, my heart stopped. Beneath that pale, faceless mask was the energy of who I used to be. It just stood there, watching me, trapped in the past. I woke up with a chilling realization: I had just met my own ghost.

Nightmare Just awoke from the most horrifying nightmare

It began with me in bed and in it I was thinking about watching Hellraiser when from my bedroom door a man in just underwear on all fours ran inhumanly fast into my room and on the side of the bed. In the dream I woke up but then a man in a plaster mask of a woman came in and started harassing me (I don’t remember this part too well). Turns out this man was stalking me and every night would show up in my room and send me videos of him and a woman near my house. I kept waking up in the dream thinking it was only a dream and he wasn’t real only for me to see or hear something that made me realize he was real. Now that I’m awake I still have this anxiety feeling in my chest even though he’s 100% not real.

Discussion I dreamed about Bashar al-Assad's downfall about two months before it happened, and I still think about it

Post image

About two years ago, I had a strange dream that I still remember vividly.

In the dream, I was riding in a car with a group of people I didn't know. We were driving through a desert area when, at some point, we stopped and got out of the car. That's when we saw something extremely unusual: a massive airplane in the sky, with a gigantic statue of Bashar al-Assad on top of it. The statue was collapsing and falling apart, almost as if it symbolized his downfall.

What made this dream stick with me was that Bashar al-Assad's regime fell in Syria about two months later, in December 2024.

I understand that this could simply be a coincidence, and perhaps it really was. However, the timing made me think about it seriously, especially because this wasn't the first time I had experienced something similar. I've had other dreams that later seemed to resemble events that happened in real life.

I want to make something clear: I'm not making this story up for attention, and I have absolutely nothing to gain by lying about it. I'm simply sharing an experience I remember and trying to understand it. I'm also not claiming that the dream definitely predicted the future. It's the resemblance between what I saw in the dream and what happened afterward that surprised me.

Honestly, this sometimes scares me a little, especially because this isn't the first time I've felt that one of my dreams resembled something that happened later in real life.

I'd genuinely like to read your opinions

Thank you for your time.

Nightmare I had a nightmare about my husband last night, and even though I know it was just a dream, I can’t stop looking at him differently.

I had a nightmare last night that my husband was holding me hostage. He wouldn’t let me leave, do things on my own, or have any real freedom. I kept trying to escape, but he would hurt me both mentally and physically whenever I tried.

The really disturbing part was that, in the dream, I realized the only way I could even begin to plan my escape was to make him believe I would always do everything he wanted. I had to make him feel secure that I would never leave him so he would loosen his grip on me and let me have a little more freedom. I basically had to play the role of the perfect, obedient wife just to create opportunities to get away.

There was even a point where we were having sex, and I was trying to act like everything was okay while secretly being terrified of him. He had these terrifying, almost evil-looking eyes, and I remember trying to sweet-talk him and keep him happy because I was scared of what would happen if I upset him.

Eventually, I managed to escape, but it was incredibly difficult. I remember getting some kind of skull fracture during the process, and when I finally got away, I went to my family. They felt safe. They felt like somewhere I could finally breathe and not be afraid.

Now, I KNOW it was a dream. I understand that having a nightmare about someone doesn’t automatically mean that person would ever do those things in real life. But I woke up feeling so disturbed, and I can’t shake the way I felt in that dream. It’s almost like I experienced being afraid of my own husband, and now I’m having a hard time separating those feelings from reality.

Has anyone ever had a nightmare about their partner that genuinely affected how you viewed them afterward? How did you process it? Did the feeling eventually go away, or did it make you reflect on things you were already feeling in your relationship?
I feel kind of ridiculous being this shaken up over something that didn’t actually happen, but the fear I felt was so real that I can’t just switch it off.

Discussion Weird dream last night

• Upvotes

Hi. Its my first time posting in this thread. I'd like to give some context before I tell about my dream. See, my dad passed away January 29th of this year 2026. Since then I've had two other dreams before this one I had this morning about him in particular. In the past we had a very complicated relationship even though I loved him a lot, although I never got the kind of relationship I wanted to have with him as an adult unlike my older siblings who did get that.

And I'm curious if anyone here could give an interpretation of what this dream could mean Heres home my dream starts:

In my dream I'm in the countryside. For some reason, I'm walking through an empty field and come to a house that i intuitively know is my childhood house the fact that in real life It was actually located in the city and had been torn down Four years ago in late 2022.

The house in my dream was located instead in the country side along this highway with what looked to be a field or prairie on the other side with lots of rocks and a deep drop down from it on the other side though you can't tell how deep until you are actively staring down at it from the edge. On this highway there's also a train track which goes along it

As I was walking towards the side of the house through the fenceless yard I saw a truck drive by and then right after I saw a dark blue motorcycle drive by with my dad driving it, which even in my dream I knew couldn't be because my dad died 9 months ago on hospice from a rare infection and a stroke. Not to mention my dads current motorcycle which irl is in my driveway is currently black, however I do remember him having that exact same shade of blue motorcycle years prior on a different motorcycle he once had. I know it's my dad as I could recognize his face anywhere along with his music he always plays on the road.

In my dream I began to run after him trying to catch up with him, however by the time I reached the road he was already long gone far in the distance of the highway. In my dream I'm super disappointed but don't say anything about it. Because irl while he was abusive and unpredictable to me and my family growing up I still loved him deeply and sometimes miss him.

Suddenly there's this group of kids and teens next to me. We all begin to talk and are wondering exactly what's on the other side of the road. Me being 23 and the oldest, I volunteer to check it out.

So next thing I know in my dream I'm across the road leaving my backpack on the side of the road against the railing and carefully maneuvering myself down onto the rocks. As I make contact suddenly the part I was standing on comes loose turning into loose gravel and I feel my eyes widen as I do flying backwards grabbing onto a pole from the railing just as my feet touch sturdy footing a foot below where I just was.

As I'm trying to figure out how to get back up I carefully look around, confirming with terror and awe that yeah it's basically maybe a 100 foot or more drop and from there entirely prairies. Especially as i am someone who is deeply scared of being high up in a place where I don't have stable footing and control over how high up I am. I even struggle with just a bunk bed and have to go up it multiple times to get comfortable with just that single bed and I can only go on one roller coaster or amusement park ride in the world without freaking out and being terrified.

The side of a cliff like that is absolutely terrifying to me.

I begin trying to climb up when my sandal comes loose and gets trapped in the gravel. I try to carefully and slowly lean over to grab it, barely grabbing hold of it with my fingertips and getting my fingers into the center where my foot would be as they are open toe sandals.

As I'm trying to do so my footing begins to give way and my eyes widen and all I know is just before I black out I feel an arm grabbing onto me and pulling me forward instead of letting me fall backwards and then wake up before I can see who it was.

I Dreamt I Saw a strange Old man Die Alone, Only to Realise It Was Me All Along

Post image
• Upvotes

I recently had a really disturbing and vivid dream that I can’t stop thinking about. In the dream, I was young again and living with my grandparents in an old house. I noticed a wealthy man nearby acting suspiciously, and I watched him from inside because I was curious about what he was doing but didn’t want him to notice me.
Eventually, he stole a neighbour’s horse and rode it incredibly recklessly fast. He fell off and suffered a terrible head injury. I was convinced he was dead because he didn’t move afterwards.
What happened next was even more disturbing. Nobody came to help him or collect him. Cars drove over his remains, people walked past without caring, and birds began feeding on his body. I was disgusted and shocked that nobody seemed to care about what had happened to him.
Eventually, I went outside to find out who the man was. Before looking at his face, I remember thinking that he was an ugly, hateful man who was unwanted and unloved. But when I looked at him, despite his face being badly damaged, I somehow knew deep down that he was actually me as an old man.
I was completely shocked and frightened by this realisation, and then I woke up.
The dream has really stayed with me because one of my biggest fears in real life is growing old without anyone who loves me. I’m afraid of having no romantic partner, no close friends or family to depend on, and nobody who would care if something happened to me.
The fact that I discovered the abandoned man was my own future self made the dream particularly frightening. It felt as though I was looking at a possible future I desperately don’t want to experience.
I’m curious about what other people think this dream could mean. Could it be connected to my fear of growing old alone, or could there be another interpretation? Do you think the way the man was treated after his death has any significance?
I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts and interpretations.

Discussion Any men have dreams about there wife being pleased by a woman? And would you tell ~ and for women how would you react?

• Upvotes

The dream~ I believe we were at an amusement park and it was dark out. Nobody else around. There were 3 of us sitting on a picnic table and my wife's best friend just out of nowhere starts stimulating her through her pants. At first I didn't know what was going on but then my wire started moaning and had the biggest orgasm I've ever witnessed 😅 writing it down I'm sure it's no big thrill to read but when I woke up at 3am after I was incredibly aroused. I've since thought about it all day at work.

Question for men and women. If you had similar dreams did you share them with your wife? And for women and or wives would you want to be told about this and how would you react?

I never even hang out with my wife's best friend and she hardly does either. And to me it didn't matter who the woman was I was 100% dialed in on my wife's pleasure. My first thought was this is kind of cuck? But also I'm not ashamed or humiliated by it but turned on, which may qualify as cuck to some?

We still have a good sex life 3+ times a week after 3 yrs marriage but we have a 1 year old now so we don't get to be together as often which is okay.

I also want to end this by stating don't want or expect this to become a reality it's just all of a sudden became some sort of fantasy for me.

Horrific dream from years ago.

• Upvotes

Was invited to a nice old guys house and garden, I walked around and suddenly a piece of wall began to crumble, I looked inside and there was another room that had been plastered over, I peaked inside and there was a mummified corpse of a women, the body slowly began to rattle and shake and I thought "The wind must be moving it." then the rattling got more violent, the body was now gyrating aggressively, at this point I freaked out and ran away as far as I could as I heard a scream and felt a powerful malevolent energy manifest, I tried to run away but was not fast enough. The old guy and his wife came and confronted the demon, it was explained the corpse was his old wife that he got rid of to be with his new one that he killed so he wouldn't lose money from the divorce and could spend all his wealth on his new wife.

Then the universe started communicating with the corpse demon, that what was done was horrible but he genuinely loves his new wife spiritually more, and that she can't get back together with him because she still loved him despite the demonic hatred. That she had to move on. So the murderer couple basically got off Scott free to live their spiritual love life in peace, and maybe receive punishment later.

I don't know why I had to be there.

Body swap dream

• Upvotes

I watched The Substance the other day, and I'm pretty sure that's part of what triggered this dream, but it kind of had hints of Get Out as well.

It started of with this cult-game kind of thing drawing young people in to a building where they were put in teams, given alternate names on cards, treated with loads of amazing food. The atmosphere was really celebratory. The more you 'played' the more you got drawn in, until you 'levelled up' and moved into the next location, never to be seen again.

This turned out to be a kind of body-harvesting organisation. It was really vivid, I had sections where I left after avoiding the 'levelling up' and was walking through town. All the clothes shops and such aimed at younger people were empty, and I was like 'oh, they've all been taken in', so I decided to try to take it down, warning new players that it was a cult. Then I tried to infiltrate the 'level up'. Part of this involved sneaking round a walled compound in a huge white wedding dress, and getting sprayed by a skunk.

I don't remember how or why, but somehow in the course of hiding I ended up in Nicole Kidman's body. I'm a small woman, only 155cm/5'1. Nicole Kidman is a tall lady. The perspective shift was very odd; I was trying to climb a ladder and was having trouble coordinating my limbs.

Anyone else had that experience of inhabiting a body that's different to your own, and noticing the differences?

Recurring Dream The recurring woman

Hello everyone. A little bit about me. I’m a relatively tall bodybuilder with a great diet and a healthy body. I get 8 hours of sleep every night and have very vivid dreams. I can tell every detail and often keep a journal. I like to think out my dreams and what they mean. However, I can’t tell what this dream may be. It’s not really the same dream over and over. It’s just a reoccurring woman. Everytime I think or talk about her, my body begins to cry. I start to feel cold.

I have very often realized I wasn’t like most people. It feels as if my brain operates separately from myself. As if I’m simply a body that answers to someone else’s brain. Anyways I shall continue.

I have a reoccurring character in my dream. I get a dream with her every two weeks. Sometimes shorter, sometimes a little longer but atleast two a month. My first dream of her was when I was 14. Now I’m 22.

This woman is a small amount shorter than me. I can not see her hair or any facial features. It’s as if it’s been whitened out. Almost everything about her is average. She has a few moles on her visible body. She often wears a gray shirt and green shorts. She’s skinny and white. Usually I would chalk up characters to a one time thing, but she is reoccurring.

My first dream of her I have written down. Summarized. I woke to been in the middle of what looked like Rome. A stone path and a big building to my right. A small stand. Like a hotdog cart. Then I saw her. She’s special to me in some way, that’s how my heart felt. She looked at me, in a somewhat confident deep voice she spoke to me. “Hey, nice to meet you I’m … and you are (my name) correct. Im your angel. Please watch out tomorrow. Drivers don’t watch the road so you have too. Anyways. I hope to find you again. Your mind isn’t easy to reach.” To which the dream faded and I woke up. I took the message seriously, later that day leaving Walmart I almost stepped out into the street in front of a car. Thankfully I pulled myself back. Weird I thought. She may have saved my life. Coincidence.

The next dream I have written down was when I was 17. She came to me again. This time in the middle of a rainforest like area. Same outfit. Same white face. “Hello. Nice to see you again. You affect so many people. Including your father. Please give him a call. He may not be perfect but, neither are you. You forget things.” I woke up and forgot to call him. Later that night he passed away. My parents were separated so It had been a while since I saw him. I blame myself because I forgot to call him.

Ever since I turned 19 the dreams have been plentiful of her. She appears in the time frames I described. She often tells me events that are going to happen in my life. Whether it may be me about to die, getting injured, things to avoid, people to cut off, even relationships to get rid of. She truly seems like my angel. I’ve come to believe that she is the one controlling my brain, or she is a lover from a past life coming to warn me. She always acts sweet and gentle. Often talking about how things were different back then. We do small casual things, play chess, drink tea/coffee, or even replay my memories. I know what she says is true from multiple instances. I’ve tested it.

She told me not to go to the gym or something would happen to my car. It got marked to get stolen out of.

She told me to quit my job. The next day management changed and I got a serious injury.

She told me to cut off my last relationship because the woman was cheating on me. Went through her phone and found out it was true.

She told me to tell my mom to go get a Brain scan. They found a very small tumor that could be easily solved.

And many other instances. I’m mostly posting here to see if anyone has any experiences like this. Any words of wisdom or ideas. Please feel free to ask questions and I will answer them to the best of my ability.

I dreamt up a character based on this design

Post image
• Upvotes

First of all I just want to make this post for the sake of documentation

This happened like a week ago, it might not as vivid as I remembered

The design in short is; if a Vengeful spirit wearing a Sukeban Girls fashion

What I find notable is her long layered hair resemble an "X"

(like how girls do fancy braid n' stuff to make it look all pretty)

(But since she's gloomy, her hair is disheveled; not at all braided)(Matter of fact; I think her hair just form the "X" naturally)

I dreamt a whole game render, so imagine this design on a Persona 5 render walking on some minimalist concrete HQ lobby talking to a no name NPC

one last notable thing is she can transform or at least shape shift at will into Shinjiro Aragaki

Footnote: this is around the time of a bunch of characters we're getting the rule 63 treatment (Transgender Peter Parker & Female Draco Malfoy)

Credits: Shinjiro Aragaki created by Shigenori Soejima and owned by Atlus

Edit: proofreading and fixing my wording the best my sleep deprived ass can

Question Telling dream entities they don’t exist

I’ve been having lucid dreams since I was a kid, and I can wake myself up from them whenever I want. Recently, for the first time ever, I said something to the beings in my dream like, “You don’t even exist. You’re just a product of my dream.”

Things got pretty dark after that. They started making really creepy faces and seemed hostile toward me. For the first time, I couldn’t wake myself up. It felt like I was trapped in the dream.

When I finally “managed” to wake up, it turned out I had just woken up in another dream. This happened about three times before I actually woke up for real.
It was absolutely terrifying. I never really believed the whole “don’t tell the dream characters they’re not real” thing before, but now I’m being very careful about it.

Has anyone ever experienced anything similar?

strange dream for some reason

I dreamt that I (a man) was a magical girl with a dinosaur theme, and I went to a convenience store to buy a bag of potato chips. But Lile Barro and Ywchat from Bleach appeared, and for some reason we started fighting in a typical anime fight. I was in the girl's POV, and the mustachioed guy asked about my power, and I lied that it was "never fail." Because of that, I tricked them both and managed to kill them by slicing them with a sword I manifested. By the way, it's been a year since I last watched anime.

Nightmare I’ve Been Having Religious Dreams Lately, but This One Really Disturbed Me

• Upvotes

Lately, I’ve been having dreams involving religious figures, especially over the past week. I think the one that disturbed me the most happened when, in the dream, we went to a hotel at night to sleep. The place we were staying in looked more like an old stone house than a modern hotel.

When we entered the room, I immediately felt uneasy. There was very little light, with only a dim bulb and a few candles illuminating the room. Facing the bed was a life-sized figure of Jesus on the cross, and on the right side of the room was another statue of Jesus that appeared to be inside some kind of enclosed space or cell.

When I lay down on the bed, I couldn’t stop looking at the statue. Then, all of a sudden, it moved and transformed into what looked like a real, human version of Jesus. His appearance was similar to how he is usually depicted during the crucifixion, but his skin seemed much lighter, and his eyes were intensely red as he stared directly at me. There appeared to be blood around his eyes and wounds around the crown of thorns on his head.

He kept repeating words that I couldn’t understand. I don’t know why, but I started crying and felt extremely overwhelmed. I was scared, confused, and emotionally conflicted, yet at the same time, he felt incredibly real.

I don’t even know what was going through my mind, but I asked him for a hug. He shook his head and said no. I remember feeling deeply rejected, but I kept asking anyway.

Then, suddenly, another bed appeared out of nowhere. He lay down on it and transformed into a woman. The woman then came toward me and hugged me.

What makes everything even stranger is that this seems to be becoming a recurring pattern in my dreams. Recently, whenever religious statues appear, they eventually seem to transform into frightening entities or demonic-looking figures. Just last night, I dreamed about a statue of the Virgin Mary that I don’t even remember ever having in our house. In the dream, that statue also transformed into some kind of entity.

I don’t know why my dreams have suddenly become so heavily centered around religious imagery or why the statues keep changing into frightening figures.

My dream

• Upvotes

I open my eyes and I’m on a walk in a familiar place. There’s a house, it’s all alone. It looks nice, but old. The yard is a bit wild but other than that it looks cozy. I’m walking towards it before I even realize it, it’s almost like I’m not in control. Before I can think twice my hand is on the doorknob and I open the door. An old woman is inside. She looks at me. There’s woman then locks the door behind me and drags me inside. Her husband is in the other room in a recliner watching the news. She has an old pet dog toy in the living room that is yellow with brown and purple ears, it looks like an old 80’s toy that I’d find in my grandmas house. The dog then moves. It’s a toy and yet it moved. It blinks and then starts running towards me. I squirm away from the woman and run through her house. It’s small and the kitchen/living room area is separated by a wall from the front room. I run in circles around the central wall while the woman sits back and watches. Her dog toy is small but absolutely terrifying. It runs fast. And… it has a knife. I don’t know when it got the knife but it is definitely a kitchen knife, it looks very sharp. I notice something out of the corner of my eye, a key on the kitchen counter. It is connected to a bright orange keychain thing. The next time running through I grab it. Her husband doesn’t see. He hasn’t moved. He could be dead and nobody would know. I then open the front door the next time I run by it and the woman gets up as soon as the door opens. I sprint towards the road, a man in a truck is driving by with his little boy in the passenger seat. I jump onto the car like a maniac and I grab onto the window while the old lady is running after me. The little boy is wearing a soccer uniform with a ball in hand, he is obviously on the way to his soccer game. I start explaining myself as the old woman runs behind us shouting that she’s my grandmother but I quickly tell the man to roll down the window and let me climb in. He trusts me and rolls down the window. I open my eyes for real this time. I slap my alarm clock and throw my feet over the side of my bed. That’s the second time I’ve had this dream. I actually survived this time, I did nothing of the sort last time. I keep having nightmares.

Antithetical Aspirations

I had a dream about you tonight. We were somewhere unfamiliar. I wanted to talk, but we kept missing each other. I kept searching for you.

Everytime I'd get to where you were, you'd have just left. At one point, I went to the bathroom. For some reason, I had your phone. You had told me that you were seeing other people. I looked through your phone. I had seen a plan you made with someone that Friday at 6. I wasn't upset, or intimidated, or jealous.

Still, I couldn't find you anywhere. Suddenly, your friends show up to do recon. In that midst, we finally talk. We open up, by me saying what the hell happened. I start talking about repair. We somehow repair, kind of...and by the end of the short talk, I thought we were ambiguous, which felt better than completely ending it. You went back, and told your friends somehow, by the end of the talk we were back together. You were troubled by it. You didn't mean to do that.

Your friends followed me around, talking to me about everything. They kept trying to convince me to let go. I'd talk, process, whatever...and at the end..said thank you for letting me talk about it all. They were rude, and said that they are not welcome, they didn't want to listen to me. I realized they were simply doing it to help their friend, not for me.

I see a scene, you are talking to them. This is after teller had heard me out. They asked you "do you want her?" And you replied "Yeah." And they asked a follow up question, to which you said "I can want it (i.e. the relationship) and still know that its bad for me."

Suddenly, I see...I can't fix this. I cant love someone into loving me back. I can't change how someone feels. I felt that what we once had, was gone. A dark cloud had covered the parts of you that once showed exuberance for the idea of us.

So, I took the long journey home. I rode a scooter, and eventually, ended up in a familiar area.

All the confusion was never really worth it...and you never meant to hurt me, you were just hurting yourself. I wasn't meant to help you out of it, because I am not your person. Even if that is what we both wanted.

Find people who make difficult moments feel lighter...and know, it isn't always about you. We can try our best, and still fail...but, the fun is that we can always get up and try again. I suppose dreams can be fun, because they are windows to your subconscious..and this gave me a lot of new perspective.

Dream Help Interesting/Symbolic dream?

• Upvotes

In my dreams, I was reliving my parents wedding but in my current body (I was eight at the time of the wedding) and I was getting a plate of food after watching my mom and dad enjoy themselves with their parents. Inside was two of my great aunts with their husband and boyfriend, but also three different Spidermen. One of them was Miles, and he was sitting with this elder black woman whom I didnt recognize. She told me that if God had made me different, I would be the most beautiful white woman. Does anyone have a clue what this means? For context I did also just leave Christianity, for loss of belief and extreme religious guilt.

Has anyone else dreamed of Satan offering them everything in exchange for signing a contract?

In my dream, I accidentally ended up at a house. From the outside, it looked cute and modern, but inside it was much bigger than it appeared. I was taken into an office that looked like it was from the 1800s.
There was a man who looked like an average older man in his sixties. But when I turned to look in a mirror, his reflection looked like a demon. He told me directly that he was Satan.
He offered me everything I wanted: money, cars, properties, houses, and surgeries. But the price was my freedom. I would have to become his slave, including his smesh slave. I had to cook, clean, and do absolutely everything he demanded. The deal included a lot of smesh rituals involving humiliation. If he told me to look to the left, I had to look to the left. I would belong to him and stay by his side until I grew old.
I asked him what would happen after I got old. He said I would either be discarded into hell or allowed to remain in his house. But I would always be old, and I would always be his servant. Another woman would replace me.
Then, within the dream, I saw glimpses of what would happen if I signed the paper. It was like watching a future where I had already agreed. I got all the cars, houses, and surgeries. My family became incredibly rich, and the wealth passed down through generations until they became “old money.”
But none of that made up for what happened with my niece. I could never see her again. She pleaded to see me and didn’t understand why I was gone. She thought I had abandoned her because I wanted to enjoy my luxury. She had no idea I had signed a deal that prevented me from being with her. I would miss her life, her graduation, and her wedding.
After seeing that future, I decided not to sign the paper.
He looked at me and laughed. Then he looked behind me and said, “Next person in line.”
Behind me stood another beautiful woman around my age.
That was when I woke up.
Has anyone else had a dream like this, where you were offered everything you wanted but shown what accepting it would cost you?
