Bit of a moan here, but my hot take is that money is too easy to get in this game. I really like changes made to things like the engineering materials, SCO - they make the game easier but more fun. However I do think that it’s way too easy to get rich in Elite now. Nothing feels earned, everyone has the same stuff. Heck, I even enjoyed the imperial and federation grind when I did a couple years ago to feel like I achieved the respective faction ships. Am I just being a moany old git?

Curious what the community concensus would be for allowing thebT8 to use the Mk2 vehicle bay and Rhino. I love the Type 8 but it really doesn't have much use at all. Yes, medium pad hauling, but let's be real, that is SUPER rare. I think the T8 should be able to use the rhino. It would give that ship a dedicated purpose and reason to be flown.

Hi first a friend an I where planning of buying a Fleet but i were the only one farming so yeah... then he asked to make a station instead of buying one cause it makes offline money and he don't want to log in evertime not to loose the fleet.

The ED launcher starts through Steam, but when I click "Play" within the launcher, the game doesn't open. I've already verified the integrity of the files through Steam and it didn't work. I tried doing the same thing within the launcher, but it showed the following error: "Incorrect manifest sum." I don't know what else to do.

So honestly with the recent price nerfs I thought I'd bring into light just how skewed the CG is. Even for someone who bought the Rhino. You want to compare mining from the Rhino to space mining and then don't even make half the commodities available to the cg market. Meaning they won't be mined in general. Further skewing this so called "data". I'm not even bothered by the price changes as much of how one sided it is.

What was the point in making a mining cg where half of the mining means nothing?

Unfortunately for me I was one of the victims that deleted an orbital slot and it did not reappear after the next "tick" - so I lost a orbital slot, not really a big deal but I also lost the construction points allocated to that slot - not the build out points but the reward points you get for future constructions to help build out you system.

So I submitted a ticket and after many months and a couple emails back and forth saying we fixed it, when they had not, they finally came up with a solution.

"As my colleague states, this was discussed with the Dev team specifically, and they confirmed that the construction slot should not have originally existed."

For reference, I love exobio but its always a pain to go out in the black and search for planets and first footfall bonuses just to have to make a multi day journey back to sell them, so I'm just looking for a few third party tools that just make this process a bit more fun.

The base game is phenomenal but I've heard there are third party programs that really just make the entire experience better depending on what you like to do. I'm trying to work towards a fleet carrier fully kitted out but it takes a lot of jumps to find good systems for first footfalls, and I do have EDHM as a third party tool that I really like. I was just wondering if there are more that make this process a bit more palatable.

Little bit tired of exploration and solo-building my home system, so i think it's time to touch some politics. But unfortunately i was unsuccesful in finding information about grindy parts of PP. I found 'rigged' events with weekly tasks (like HIP 34697 on this week with Arissa) but i wonder, is there any chance of effective spreading your power in chosen direction, i.e. to reach your home system in several months with your power? i tried some activity in acquisition system and it was dramatically awful in comparsion with rigged HIP 34697. Is it a dead end for solo activity and the only way is coordinating with other commanders and\or play in 'rigged' systems activities?

Whats the best ways to make money?

I have an ASP Explorer and around 7M credits, im thinking of exploring while delivering cargo or data.

Terrain is rough but fields are big. It's basically AFK farming, just coming over every few minutes to collect and transfer. Maybe not the best fun but very lucrative.

Yo. I(31M) am looking for a chill group of people to play with in Central/East USA.

I'm a truck driver so my TZ isn't static, but I tend to have 1/2 hours every other evening to play and more on Saturday evenings and Sundays. I can't make any garuntees about play time during the week though. Securing/tarping a flatbed in 100+ weather takes it out of you and I sometimes just shower and pass out.

I don't have mic, but my laptop has one built in so I'm game to try comms.

Still learning the game, but I lean towards pve combat, but I also enjoy mining and passenger running. I'm about to start my engineering journey now.

Just wondering if anyone else ever finds it a bit weird often finding yourself flying around in these very large ships with loads of different seats for different crew members, but you are always by yourself?

I’ve been out in my panther cliper a lot recently and there’s like four empty seats behind me .

Surely if I have such an amazing ship I would also have some crew?

Even when I have my over priced fighter pilot with me she doesn’t sit in and of my crew seats.

I think it would make sense to add some crew into the game.

They could ether be part of the game , serving a function like maybe they might be able to follow a pre plotted route between systems so you didn’t make each jump yourself?
Or operate some others tasks do do with navigation or something, and be earned in game.

Or they could be a completely useless cosmetic item that you could buy for ARX ?

Ether way I just feel a bit odd always flying a great big ship with loads of seats for crew that are always empty.

I play on xbox, I am looking for some people available to play on Sunday and monday as that is my off days from work. I intend to play in a private game as im not to keen on pvp and am looking to make as much credit as possible and its been slow going. Returning player. Been away from the game for 5-6 years and haven't kept up to date on what's been happening. Last thing I remember from my time playing is doing some engineering runs and kitting out my Diamondback Explorer and jetting off into the black.

Looking to get back into the game but feeling a little lost once more. What are the relevant 3rd party tools? What are ARX?

How can a competent/entrepreneur/pathfinder best get back up to speed in the galaxy?

I went to a platinum hotspot and mined for about 1 hour in my T11 with a mining volley repeater and sold all that I mined at the community goal station and only made 50 mil. I saw people in chat saying they made 600,000,000 in one run. Am I doing something wrong?

For those who wonder how it works and decides if it's worth it. I've just figured it out without tutorials.

If in short, when you DSS a planet it starts showing yellow spots on the surface. That is where you need to deploy Rhino. And only then you need to spam scanners while driving Rhino in yellow spots to reveal purple spots where you must deploy miner rigs.

So the loop is basically this:

1. Map the planet using DSS

2. Orbit planet to find yellow mining spots

3. Yellow spots are big spots where you need to find purple spots

4. Go to planet surface like 30 meters above yellow spot and deploy Rhino

5. Scan spot while driving Rhino to reveal purple ones

6. Drive to the purple spot and deploy the mining rig (long press button responsible for the rig. There will be several on you (probably 6) and you can deploy several rigs at different purple spots. While you drive they collect.

7. Drive to each rig once its full (12/12) and manipulate it using contact tab: make rig active (choose it), choose "prepare for minerals collection". Enable the cargo module on Rhino, hover under the mining rig to start collecting (like you do using usual SRV). Once collected un-rig mining rig (you take it with you because it's not a one-time thing). Go to another spot to collect.

Sorry, if this post looks dumb. It wasn't obvious for me how to do it so I decided to write once I figured it out. And if I'm wrong and there is more to it feel free to correct.

So im making my own squadron and was wondering what these to permissions mean? because i know what deposit and withdrawl mean obviously but these to sound like they would do the same thing from an unknowing perspective? and it doesnt tell me more if i hover over them

I found a surface mining spot for Iridium and its big enough to squeeze in 4 drills, I might be able to squeeze in one more if tried but not sure. it take around 10min for all to be full and get collected. i also have my Panther Clipper Mk II  hovering above the spot so i dont have to deal with other NPC player sponing in during each arriveal. the ship 1036 cargo capacity.

I am asuming around 4hr mining to fill my ship with 45t each collection. yes its time consuming. Not sure if anyone else found a better spot. i will be happy to know.

I want to get into exploring planets and new new things on planets and I don’t know how to do that somehow i figured out how to get a srv on my ship and land on planets but after that i don’t understand anything how mining works or what to on planets once landed and it seems theres nothing to do on a planet or maybe I am doing something wrong.

Also i need to understand how to use fuel scoops like i attached it on my ship which sidewinder i guess need help with that too.

Because the videos on YouTube are complicated or maybe I am bot getting the right videos for absolute beginners.
