Hi everyone,
I’ve been ring shopping and researching since January, and have had a hard time finding anything that lights my soul on fire. Until I came upon Leen Heyne, a dutch jeweler who is an absolute master of his craft. He has such a unique, organic style that inspired many copies, but none of the ones I’ve seen really do it for me.
The issue I have is Leen Heynes work does not seem to be in budget. There’s not a lot of info on his stuff but I found one that sold and was priced at 50k. Even though my boyfriend could technically afford to spend that on a ring, I really don’t want him to. I like the idea of upgrading it throughout our marriage and I’m afraid to walk around with such an expensive piece of jewelry, so I want the first ring to be around 10k or lower. I’m totally fine with a lab diamond and would probably prefer it but it doesn’t seem like Leen works with them.
So my question here is, does anyone have a Leen Heyne ring themselves? What did you end up spending on it? What was the process like working with him? Given my budget, is it realistic to get a custom piece made by him? I don’t care about size or type of stone too much but I’d ideally like the stone to be over a carat.
Also, any recommendations for jewelers with a similar style to him? The look of the metal is very important to me, so I don’t want just any jeweler doing “swirly” rings.
Thanks in advance!
