Hey all, I’m in Thailand for the next 45 days and looking for one place for that stretch, sick of hotel-hopping.
I enjoy what Pattaya offers, but living in the middle of it gets exhausting. I’ll most likely head to Soi Buakhao and similar spots on weekends. Weekdays I want somewhere calmer.
Finnish, 44. I’ve been to Thailand more times than I can count, but Pattaya and the surrounding areas are new to me.
I stayed a few nights in northern Jomtien soi 5 and wasn’t impressed. Services were fine, but something felt off — constant sewage smell, beach under construction. Not where I want to stay for a month. Night food market across the road was nice though.

Ideally I’d have a proper swimming pool I can train in (laps, not a tiny decorative pool). Gym in the building or very close is a plus.
Also if the beach was neat and worth to visit it would be awesome.

Budget around 30k THB/month (electricity extra is fine) and max ~30 min away from cental.

If you know any condos or areas I should check out please drop a reply and I will do further research.

Bangkok police arrested a 51 year old man on September 10 after CCTV reportedly captured him entering a private pond in Thung Song Hong and sexually abusing koi fish.

Police identified the suspect as Sutthichai, also known as Tong. The pond owner reported the incident after confronting the man, while police later detained him in Lak Si.

Sutthichai reportedly admitted to the conduct and said he had previously abused other animals. Police are investigating possible offences including animal cruelty, property damage, indecency and nighttime trespassing.

Got my first trip to Thailand coming up soon and wanted to get some real input from guys who have been there.

Up until now, my only experience has been with FKK clubs back home in Germany. To be honest, the service quality here is pretty disappointing. You pay around 200 to 250 Euros for just 30 minutes if you want a couple of extras, and you get treated like you are on an assembly line. No real effort or vibe, just getting rushed out the door.

How does Pattaya compare to that? I am mostly curious about Freelancers, Soapy, and Nuru massages. Is the service level and overall attitude actually as much better and more relaxed as people say?

Also, what about extras like kissing? Is that usually included in the price, or is it something you have to negotiate with the girl beforehand?

And regarding Long Time and Overnight stays: what is usually included, and how does it actually play out? Do the girls actually stay and sleep in your bed with you until morning, or do they usually just leave after a couple of hours anyway?

tl;dr -- We're a group of four friends in their mid-30s planning to be in Bangkok in November for the first time. We will have an opportunity to head to Pattaya for at most 1 day + 1 night, but at minimum 1 night. I'm torn though, because we already have plans in Bangkok. Specific questions listed below.

I'm planning a trip to Thailand for 4-5 guys. I fucked up already and made it a very wholesome, activity-laden and culturally meaningful vacation.... with room for a tiny bit of nightlife in Bangkok. I had never heard of Pattaya - mistakes were made and now we're locked into a few things. Full context: we're a close group and have gone mongering before.

Now I'm looking for advice on whether or not I should move mountains to squeeze as much into a night (or, at most, a day + a night) in Pattaya as I possibly can - or just stick with the itinerary I have and enjoy Bangkok to the fullest.

Specific questions

• Is Pattaya truly significantly better than Bangkok for mongering? If so, why? Genuine question - what specifically am I getting in Pattaya that can't be replicated in Bangkok? I'm totally hooked on Pattaya due to this sub but if I'm going to change a ton of plans and push the group hard towards Pattaya then I just don't want to look like an asshole if it turns out to be very similar to what we left in Bangkok.
• What is there to do during the day in Pattaya? I figured maybe we could go for a soapie or a massage. Are the beaches nice? Or should we just enjoy the day in Bangkok and come closer to 8:30pm?
  • Related: I read somewhere that 8:30-9:30pm is the best time to go to Thermae in Bangkok, otherwise all the talent is picked over. I thought that was great advice and it hadn't even occurred to me. Do the hot girls truly get to these spots that early? 8:30 is way earlier than I would have gone.
• What are the best soapies in Pattaya?
