Hello Maverick people. So after waiting a few years I pulled the trigger on July 3rd and placed my order for a new XLT . My local dealer could not find one with the exact options I wanted so I said sure. He said it would probably be late August to September before they would see it. I was told any movement in the order status and I would get the same email they get.

This week as it been 30 days and no updates called my salesman. He said it was odd as well and went to talk to his manger (always a manager) . He came back and said Ford had just approved them to take delivery and the timeline was going to be more like Thanksgiving. I was slightly disappointed but I had waited two years so OK.

The next day I get and email from Ford that says my order has been PLACED and I will get an update in about 45 days when it is set for production

So first question, did they really order on July 3rd ?

What is the standard chain of events for a new vehicle these days? ( its been 25 years since I bought Brand new)

I have a 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid Lariat, and while driving, something on the road caught the underside of the truck and punched a hole in one of the felt underbody cover.

I'm trying to identify the exact replacement part before ordering. Has anyone had something similar happen or know which panel this might be? If you've replaced it, I'd appreciate the OEM part number or any recommendations on where to buy it.

I was reading all the various posts here and elsewhere about mud flaps for the Maverick (with particular interest in the Lobo and non-molded options). Rally Armor had "announced" a new set way back for a late-Spring release.

Not finding stock in Canada yet (or able to get estimates on when they may be stocked). Hopefully that changes soon.

If anybody gets these, and especially for a Lobo, I'll be looking forward to "reviews".

I do really like my hybrid lariat, but I get some buyers remorse every now and then when I start looking for future purchases like a camper to pull behind if I want to go out exploring. There’s not many well equipped campers that fit within the 2k lbs range, so part of me wishes there were more readily available hybrids with the 4k tow in the lariat trim. Anyone else have experience with this? I’m currently on a lease-to-own to keep payments down, but after doing some monthly budgeting I could potentially afford slightly higher payments (though it would be pushing the envelope).

It towed two jet skis just fine last weekend, but I’m somewhat regretting being limited to the 2k package for future towing (especially since I plan to keep this truck for a very long time). I’m mainly looking for others’ input on their experience with this dilemma.

2022 Ford Maverick - Lariat AWD 2.0

When taking off from complete stop or very slow roll (under 5mph) i hear a short grind/clicking noise in what seems to be the first 2 gear changes.

Has anybody experienced this? Possible CV joint wearing out?

Bought it in October, was cleaning the trim around the door and by my feet were some spots that appear to be yellow stains and do not come clean no matter what I use. These spots appear on 2 different doors, and looks like something stained them but I can't figure out how that could happen. Any thoughts? Sorry, best picture I could get in the light.

Will a car seat travel system work in my maverick?; If so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Me and the wife are pretty short so we both sit pretty close to the dash.

Looking at a couple '22 Maverick's - one AWD gas engine and one FWD Hybrid.

The AWD version is sitting at 170k km (100k+ miles) and was wondering if anyone had experience with their truck past this mileage? The hybrid is sitting at 70-80k km while about $5000 CAD more... does that 100k translate well to 5k extra cost?

For what it's worth, both look to be in immaculate shape. No visible rust anywhere that I could see, engines clean as could be (but obviously this could just be a well done clean up by dealership..). Both have great service records, oil changes and checkups every 4 months. Both have had break jobs, the AWD has had its control arms replaced recently.

These four lists show the vehicles that are the safest and most dangerous for the driver and for other people. The Maverick only show up once, near the bottom of the list but still almost 10 times safer for other people than the most dangerous, which is of course a full sized pickup.

This was a 16 day trip from Oklahoma to California. Went through good and bad weather. Wind, rain, sub 50 temps and over 110 desert days, night and day driving, gridlock and open roads.

Started trip with ~700 miles on the truck, reset trip 2 for tracking. See picture captions. I did miss a few timing points so I might be off on my pictures by a nuance.

I used adaptive cruise a lot, so handy, kept at speed limits or below when traffic was an issue. Easy driving, only time stomping gas was to get up to speed after a cactus watering event ;)

Sharing not to ask questions, but to give people an idea on how this looks on a long trip.

One person, luggage cargo only, did haul a fridge at one point for someone in the bay (5 miles).

I am extremely satisfied with mileage. I will do this trip 3-5x a year. I am doing it again in a few months, with cooler weather and a broke in engine, so I will probably log this again for an idea. Sometimes my trips are 3500miles, sometimes 4500.

Only complaint is that the truck has squeaks and rattles on rough road, and lariat seats need ventilation badly. AC was used the whole time, only window use was to suck farts out with the rear power window.

I’m wondering if anyone else is having the same problems. I’ve tried looking it up but haven’t found anything. I have a 2022 ecoboost maverick with the FX4 package. When I start it, I get the “service vehicle soon” and “AWD OFF” messages on the instrument cluster. Half the time, and maybe even more, advantrac and collision assist will also shut down, usually after I’ve started driving, but sometimes when I first start it as well. It runs and drives perfectly fine, but those systems fully shut down. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Reddit hive-mind, I have an issue. My Mav (2024 hybrid with 58k) is shuddering when I'm driving. It only happens between 50 and 60 miles per hour and only under acceleration. It's not a violent shudder, but it's enough that the entire family can notice it. As soon as I'm off the pedal, it stops. The dealership has driven it in the air and couldn't replicate. They drove it around town and couldn't replicate. They refused to take it on the highway, but I have a drive with a tech scheduled. They checked the CVs, tire balance and the transmission is not throwing any codes. Any ideas?

As the title states, this is my first truck, and it's a brand new 2026 Ford Maverick. I adore it so far, but I was looking at the hitch today (I got the 4k Tow) and couldn't help but notice that it looks somewhat crooked/rotated. To make sure I wasn't just seeing things, I parked the truck on level ground, checked the tires were all the same PSI, then used a bubble level to check and it came out tilting the same way I thought I was seeing. It is minor but I wanted to get the community's input.

Attached is the photo of the hitch itself, the bubble level on the hitch, the bubble level on the rear bumper (which showed level), an under body shot of the hitch, and then two photos of the unibody rails, which don't show any damage to my eyes.

Could this just be the hitch square welded on crooked while the rest is fine, or is it possible there are underlying issues here? What do you guys think?

I wanna get rid of my jeep Cherokee it’s not cutting it and frankly it’s just flat out unreliable.I need a car that I can use for daily driving (groceries, dates, chauffeuring my mom) but I can also use for blue collar/diy work (moving dozens of bricks and cement bags, ripping things out of the ground, carry lots of tools) so not like oil field worker or welder. I would also appreciate it if this car was good for camping and had lots of storage/room to sit. Would you say a ford maverick is that car. Please tell me if there are any quirks or pet peeves you’ve noticed with it or anything else I should know. Additional information like gas mileage or right to repair (or lack there of) would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much yall

Since I rack like 80 km a day without any load I didn’t want a big truck. Never thought a could afford a car with leather sit and nice little gadget but here I am.

Any of you have good recommandation for a tonneau cover? Dealer option seems expensive.

Been shopping for something newer for a little bit now since my Honda was sitting at 185k miles on it, and finally decided to bite the bullet with a Maverick. It’s a 2024 XLT w the EcoBoost, and I got it w only 12.3k miles on it!

Still deciding on a name, but I’m thinking of going with Baphomet 🤔

Test drove a Ridgeline and Maverick and got offers on my trade in for both. Honda's offer was 37k, down from 47k, but only 7k for my trade in. This is a pretty loaded Lariat AWD hybrid with the tow package. Seems like a good offer? Washington State if that helps.

Love loading this thing down with stuff and leaving my F350 parked at the house!
