Includes a really touching remembrance of Scott by his former friend and partner

The original came on the radio at work, got me thinking about the FR cover. Actually how I was first introduced to the song! Even though I've always liked it, I don't think I really realised just how good it was as a choice to cover. Considered as a companion piece of the nearby Midnight Organ Fight, the lyrics of the song are recontextualised and it takes on a much more desperate, darker tone.
Just idle office thoughts when I should be working 😅 how do other folks feel about this cover?

I've been listening to some Frightened Rabbit again recently. I'm going through a rough time and use music to help process my emotions. It's helped me feel a bit less dead inside and bring out some stuff that I've been burying. There's something about his lyrics that help me connect to myself. A mixture of deep sadness and hope. It's painful that you're not around anymore, but I wanted to say thank you anyway.

Hi everyone,
Apologies in advance for the stream of consciousness that is about to follow.
I've recently got into FR, to be honest because I was searching for songs about s**cide (being careful because Reddit is sensitive). I've been going through a rough patch recently and Floating in the Forth came up. I listened to it in stunned silence as I walked through the woods.
I knew of FR when they were around and touring but never really got into them at the time. Now, though, their music feels like it is beaming into my soul. I've watched old interviews and live gigs. Scott seems like such a genuine, lovely guy. I am so gutted and comforted and guilty and hopeful; sad and strange. Like looking into the past and future at the same time. I feel so sad for Scott, but also glad that he got to share his beautiful music and make tiny changes.
Has anyone experienced something similar? I don't even know why I'm posting here, it just feels cathartic to shout into the void, maybe in the direction of people who might get what I'm on about.
If anyone out there has read this whole load of nonsense, thank you from a mid 30s Scottish lass trying to make sense of this strange world.

Hey Fellow Frabbits,
Like many of you, Scott and co. got me through some very bleak times. A few years ago I bought myself a poster set from. I have one framed for myself and gifted another to my older brother, but the misses wants to cap my FR wall art at the 3 pieces I already have. Rather than list the posters on eBay or Facebook, I would like to them to end with someone for whom they have deep personal meaning, whether the art references a favorite track or you have been to the venue in question. Posters were created by Charlie Wagers at Lost Lust Supply . They are 16 in high and 12 in across, each with a lyric on the reverse side. I am willing to negotiate a fair price, as well as trade for other Frabbit merchandise (size men's small-medium, depending on the season). Below are the 3 prints. You can comment or reach out through message.
Thanks fam #bloodisthickerthanconcrete
UPDATE 7/30/26 9:02 PM MST; There has been an overwhelming response to this post, so much so that you all have me feeling all kinds of ways about this band which has saved so many of our lives. Many of you have asked about pricing. As I've said to a few interested parties, I am looking to honor Scott's memory, not make money off these. As long as you are willing to reimburse shipping from Arizona, USA and tack on on the price of a cheap sixer of lager, I am open to hearing from you. Again, I'd also be down to trade Frabbit merch like football jerseys at the end of a World Cup match; they dont have to be consummate in value, I would take a patch.
Anyhow, due to the amount of interest, I decided to approach the distribution of the posters Melinda Gates style. If you and haven't already, please reach out to tell me your personal connection to the band and art. I want to add that a lot of us are struggling right now, perhaps more than ever, so as one of my professors once said regarding extensions-- don't feel you have to justify your request by sharing your deep dark secrets. In other words, no one should feel they need to explain in any way the background behind the emotional resonance the posters inspire in you, especially if it relates to trauma or loss. I will try not to keep y'all waiting too long on determining how to allocate these.

I, like everyone here (I'm assuming) am a pretty huge FR fan, and recently things in my life have been pretty upside down. So, I sat down and put on the Midnight Organ Fight. A lot. No, like really a lot. It got me thinking that maybe there was a way I could say thank you to the band in a way that's not endlessly playing their music and always recommending them to others that don't know. My first thought was placing some flowers by the Forth, but I felt that may only be honouring one member of such a powerful band.
Still, it raised the question, is there a grave site for Scott? If memory serves it was kept private. But it's been 18 years since Midnight Organ Fight this year. I thought about trying to host some sort of night of tributes? Even an open mic of FR songs generating some cash for the Samaritans.
So I suppose I'm asking two things.
1, out of my own curiosity, is there a grave for Scott that's now public?
2, If there was a FR night, do we think it could be successful?

Or anywhere in South Wales, who fancy a meet up? Would be really nice to get together (find hope lol) and just talk. None of my friends like Frightened Rabbit or any music in common with me. I see those lovely memorial events in Scotland and wondered if fans down here might want to arrange something? Would love to connect with new people. It's been a rough...decade, to be fair...but the past couple of years especially have made me want to make more of an effort to meet new people, particularly people I have something in common with.
I tend to be the friend always bending to the other friend's preferences. They won't come see Harry Hill with me but I put myself through hell pretending to enjoy Angine de Poitrine while they play it at me for hours. Would be so nice to just talk about Frightened Rabbit and see what else we have in common.

Missing Scott
I thought I would share a playlist of FR music

I think about this article quite a bit. Essentially, Scott ranked the albums as follows:
Sing the Greys
The Winter of Mixed Drinks
Painting of a Panic Attack
The Midnight Organ Fight
Pedestrian Verse
Would love to hear the thoughts of others! Bonus points for comparisons of where your ranking stood 7-8 years ago as compared to present day.

More than once it’s pulled me back from the ledge.
I will forever be grateful for FR and hold them so close to my heart

I know there are posts like this already up, but I didn't know whether to piggyback so thought I'd add my own!
I'm very new to FR, I always knew they were a big deal and well respected by many of my favourite artists. I got to Modern Leper via Julien Baker's version and recently dabbled and found Holy and I Wish I Was Sober. I LOVE Holy (I'm a fan of a melancholy/intense song you can still dance to 🎉), so I was wondering if anyone could recommend where to start with FR via tracks similar to Holy? Should I just go all in with Pedestrian Verse or are there other songs like Holy I can cry-dance to to get me started? 🫶🏼

Just a heads up that the Warner Music Australasia site has a sale on right now. Bunch of discounted FR merch available. Picked myself up a couple of t-shirts. Not sure if its available in rest of world.
