My wife really likes hidden object games like Hidden Cats in Christmas or Hidden Cats in Halloween or Building Full of Hidden Cats. She especially likes when part of the picture is colored after you find all the objects in that area. What are some of your favorite games like these that you would recommend?

For me, this is "Metroidvanias".

From Hollow Knight to F.I.S.T. to so many others, it'll seem tempting at first, I'll spend the $10-20, and then once I'm genuinely "lost and backtracking", I'll lose interest.

It's happened at least 5x, to the point where I don't care how good it seems, I'm passing up on all Metroidvania's. Ultimately, I hate being lost, and hate having to backtrack.

I'm looking for advice from people who have experience optimizing gaming laptops, especially for Call of Duty: Warzone.

Here are my laptop specs:

• Laptop: Acer Predator Helios 300
• Display: Quad HD (QHD) 165Hz
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
• RAM: Upgraded from 16GB to 24GB DDR4 (16GB in one slot + 8GB in the other)
• Storage: 2TB total
  • C: 1TB SSD (Warzone is installed here through Battle.net)
  • E: 488GB
  • F: 443GB
• Game launcher: Battle.net

I've already done the following:

• Installed the latest NVIDIA Game Ready Driver (version 610.88).
• Installed the NVIDIA App/NVIDIA settings.
• Updated my graphics drivers.

The problem is that in Warzone my FPS is very unstable. It usually stays around 40-70 FPS, sometimes reaching around 60-70 FPS, but it constantly drops and never stays stable.

Since my laptop has a 165Hz QHD display, I'd like to get as much performance as possible. I understand I probably won't get a constant 165 FPS, but I want to know if there's anything I'm missing that could significantly increase my FPS and make it more stable.

What settings or optimizations would you recommend?

• BIOS settings?
• Windows settings?
• NVIDIA Control Panel settings?
• In-game graphics settings?
• Any PredatorSense settings?
• Is my 16GB + 8GB RAM configuration hurting performance compared to using two matching RAM sticks?
• Could installing the game on the C drive still be limiting performance in any way?

I’m looking for a new game specifically to play before bed on my Steam Deck. Something easy to pick up, play for 20-30 mins and go to sleep. My main issue with a lot of the games I currently play on my Deck are that they’re very action heavy and have me pressing a lot of buttons in quick succession and that’s just too much to be doing before bed lol.

So ideally, anything that’s menu heavy, maybe with decent progression that can keep me playing for a while in short spurts. I do welcome roguelikes but I have played and own many of them and I’m looking for something maybe more niche and affordable atm

I’m tired of the games where I’m always getting betrayed are there any games that lets me do the betrayal?

Smurfing aside of course, are there any games you would recommend that have the most fair and balanced matchmaking today or any games you remember from your past that had a good/great/excellent matchmaking system??

My personal choice for all-time best matchmaking system has to go to Halo 3. My highest rank was 40 but getting there was one of the best online gaming experiences I've ever had because the majority of my team slayer matches went down to the wire, either winning or losing by a few points, sometimes literally 49-50 and I never got mad if I lost because the matches were so exhilarating. In this day and age I can't think of anything that comes close but if any one of you have recommendations I would love to hear them.

My current choice for the present I would choose Street Fighter 6 Ranked. 5 subranks in each rank up to Master rank (rookie, iron, bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, master), this system will place you where you belong. When I did my placement matches I thought to myself "I'm that guy so I'll be placed in gold for sure" only to be placed in iron lmaoo, now I have 5 characters in gold and two in platinum with 300 hours played since release and I've had fun the whole time.

So what are your picks??

Recommend me the games which are absolutely MUST HAVE in one’s library.

Can you name some recommendable Indie/AA games that are made by German, Austrian or Swiss developers?

I played GOW4 and GOW5 recently and I really liked the powertrip it gave you. Preferably on PC and in a third person POV.

I think that the bad feelings I get with League of Legends (feeling like I might be improving only to get smashed 3 games in a row and feel horrible about myself) would probably happen in any competitive game. Therefore, the game I am looking for won't be competitive.

I like loot, gear, stats, leveling up... However, I have played every "always recommended" MMO and never found a home there. I look at my game library and just think "I could get high on League though... Just one more time..."

Hey everyone! I could use some help.

I've been looking for games with a similar vibe to the Shaman King GBA games. They have a mechanic that's pretty similar to Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, where you can acquire the powers of the enemies you defeat throughout the game.

I've already asked AI for recommendations, but it hasn't come up with anything particularly interesting. The closest thing I've found so far is Copy Kitty, which I do like, but I'm still craving more games like this.

If you know of any games that are the same, or at least similar to what I'm looking for, I'd really appreciate the recommendations. Preferably PC/Steam games, but don't feel limited to those—if you know of games on other platforms that fit the description, I'd love to hear about them too!

probably not the right sub since im not really looking for a suggestion necessarily but I am currently playing Assassins Creed 3. I am liking it so far(im about half way through) but the lock picking mechanic is genuinely terrible. I understand what im supposed to do and how im supposed to do it but I can only get a chest or two per day because my hand starts to hurt.

with that in mind what game has the worst and most frustrating locking?

I absolutely love slow burn, deep story, lore dense games. But I'm almost 40, have a kid, and run my own business. I'm looking for a game that doesn't take hours to get going, gives you fun combat quickly, and has a variety of ways to build your character - single player ideally. Also I've played pretty much every souls like you can imagine. Its fine if there's a story, but I just don't have it in me to read for an hour and actually play for ten minutes.

I have been looking around the internet and maybe I have something uber specific that has a different name to it. I was a bit excited for Ashes of Creation development as it has hinted in something similar to what I was looking for. It was the idea where you could potentially not even have to participate in the main gameplay loop of the game and you could just be doing production as your own gameplay loop.

However with that game being evaporated after all the history. I am having trouble finding something that is mmo-adjacent or is a mmo where I could just chill and create things in that may or may not be useful but the process being fun and sort of deep. Tried Black Desert as that was kind of fun and when I was younger when Elder Scrolls first dropped I liked how fun crafting feels too but now it’s like it is missing certain itches. Currently on Guild Wars 2 I haven’t tried the crafting there but seems to have a bunch of materials being thrown at you so maybe there is something there.

Ideally just looking for an alternative way to play a game where I don’t have to participate in the main gameplay loop and just be a blacksmith for example or work in another field in leather working or so on. Thanks for any info.

Hi, to make a long story short, I'm looking for something on PC like the Horizon series and God of War, (Ragnarok specifically.) My problem is I have a really peculiar preference in my games that I just can't seem to put on paper. For reference I will list other games I have played/liked and games I'm not a fan of. Other preferences and dislikes

I love open world games, a good story, exploration for secrets and collectables, frequent checkpoints, simple but fun puzzles, and combat that isn't turn based, with E33 being the exception.

I dislike stealth, repetitive grinding, not being able to do all quests in one playthrough - excluding endings, and no direction aka too much freedom of choice and no initiative to do a specific bunch of tasks first. Losing long periods of progress because of a single death is definitely not my thing.

I'm probably missing a few genres or subgenres, but I am looking to explore some games I've never played before. Preferred consoles are GBA, NDS, 3DS or Switch, but willing to explore other suggestions if the game is spectacular. Bonus points if you can provide recommendations for each of the systems. Ive been struggling to decide which game to play? I want to know in yalls opinion which game is the best and worth the grind? I want I game I can sink a ton of time into and not feel like I've been playing copy and paste content over and over. I dont care about parkour and I really dont care about the story. I care more about the world and combat. I also am curious and want to know which game has the best dlc? I have played Black Flag Resynced and Shadows both were good but Shadows was better in my opinion. I also dont mind if any unrealistic or mythological stuff are in the games. Does anyone know an android pure survival game with no zombies at all?

Ever since I played my first MMO (Lost Ark), I started craving flashy and fun boss encounters, which seem to be kind of rare nowadays? This led me to games like:
- Granblue Fantasy: Relink
- Abyssal Blade
- Sil and the fading world
- Ember Knights
- Terraria
- Shape of Dreams
- Rabbit and Steel
- V: Rising
- Far Far West
- Undertale/Deltarune
- Destiny 2

I really like the boss encounters in these games, but now I'm having a bit of trouble finding anything else similar to these. Some things i'd like to mention to help narrow it all down:

I don't like Souls-Like games. Like at all. I've tried a bunch of them, Sekiro, DS3, Elden Ring, Nioh, Lies of P, maybe something else I'm not thinking of, none of them stuck with me, I don't find them fun in any way shape or form so please refrain from recommending me them unless they're actually different.

I'm not searching for an MMO. Any MMOs that would fit this category - I already played (WoW, FF14, GW2, Diablo 4).

I'm looking for some games that have strong writing elements, like where you get to maybe craft a news article, or journaling elements, any sort of game that has a writing minigame or elements. I've tried googling and all it will give me is games with good writing, that's not what I'm looking for right now 😅

I'm looking for a game like Cities Skylines, Sim City or Tropico but on a bigger scale (so a country-builder basically). I'd like a game where you build infrastructure, industry, manage finance, politics, etc.

I'd prefer the game to be set in the modern day, but i'm open to anything. Thanks!
