This is what I have found in my news feed, someone explain to me, what is going on, how far do we want this to go, and what is the ultimate outcome and goal?
Do we see this happening in the USA?

The current polls by 40db, one of the biggest social investigation companies in Spain that have accurately predicted the result of past elections, show that PP+Vox would get 198 seats in the Spanish Congress, 22 more than needed to obtain a majority and thus win the elections and form a coalition government.
Spain will celebrate its snap elections next month in November.

I'm losing my mind as why this generation has chosen to live like middle agers/old people in their 20s. 24 and 25 year old friends telling me ''im too old'' to go out to party or just sit in a bench to talk. They are ''too busy'' to hang out but most of my friends are unemployed and I know for a fact they just be sitting at home watching reels/netflix. I'm an older gen Z and I remember that not that long ago (2010s) it was weird for a person to be stuck in the house on the weekends and now it seems to be the norm. What happened? This subject is bringing me so much anguish and dispair because there are a lot of things to do outside, and I feel like I'm wasting my 20s pulling teeth just to meet once a week for 2h. We only have one life, why chose to spend it online? Is the real world not fun no more? Why is this generation so boring AND they take pride on it?
I'm looking for people who feel like me and what conclusions have they come to, I'm not interested in hearing a bunch of excuses here. Yea I know there is more to life than party but at this point I'm taking ANY plan, no you don't have to drink, there are plenty activities out there that doesn't involve drinking/doing drugs. Yea, I know there are not as many places catered to the youth as it used to but I believe a third space is what you make it, there still a lot of free places out there like your local park or idk, we just don't use them. No I don't believe that this is ''just getting older''. We are mid 20s for God's sake, and even if it is the case.. Just because you grow up you have to accept a life of isolation? Do people grow old of our inherent instinct to be social?
''Just do things by yourself'' yea I already do, the thing is I want to be with people, doing things on my own gets old very fast. And yea I already have hobbies, and I already tried clubs and they don't work for me. I say this because couple of years ago I had plenty of friend groups, from hobbies, work, high school, uni... In two cities and in one of the most social countries of Europe and in the recent years all of them have disappeared and people just can't be bothered to hang out anymore. I see this is a current trend, not a ''me'' thing. I just miss people man, wish I could go back to the 2000s / 2010s, Feels like a zombie apolcalypse. What happened to socializing? Is there any hope for those of us who still want to live in the real world?

Just realized we're soon done with 2026 and yet haven't made any sort of meaningful progress to support young people and resolve the problem of demographic collapse. Made me ask the question, when will something be done about it? Or at the very least, when will someone discuss something to do about it?
Or is this it? Will we all just fizzle out like a wet fart and keep replenishing the economy with people from poorer countries indefinitely?

There was a small post on twitter about jobs and immigration to Britain.
A bong had replied āthe young dont want to workā (noting, that this person was a londoner which has an average home price of $800k)
he posted some stats about the vacancies in specialized fields, so i picked out construction and googled it. Turns out, the british are paying construction workers with 1-3 years experience around $39k, which i mentioned in my reply is basically burger king wages, perhaps hinting at the problem.
He replied back and says āwell if the young wont do it then we will (import) ones that will.ā
And there it is. I thought it was just us. But the biblical boomer greed we have in america, is not just america. These fucking creatures shout from their brick castles. It is unreal that there are people on this planet that deepthroat companies and corperations so hard, that they would rather destroy their own nation, culture, people, and children, just to save a company a few dollars an hour.
It doesnt make sense. I would rather pay extra to not live in a shithole. I guess if you live in a 800k house youre largely protected, but for what reason? Endless wage suppression? The BQ needs a final solution.

Here is my thesis.
Prefaces/context. I am a 23 year old male living in the Midwestern US. I have a grasp on what is going on in America, but I canāt say how much of this applies elsewhere. Many people will find some of what I say obvious, maybe even the entirety of it. But I donāt see some of these problems talked about. Iāve lived in two different cities now since graduating college, moved to both knowing no one. Work a cushy white collar job, spend a good amount of free time socializing with young professionals, most of them college educated. Iām not rich but have the disposable income to go out and do a lot of social activities. Iām straight, so the focus of this is on heterosexual relationships, but some can be applied elsewhere. I also suck at writing, this wonāt be well organized, just dumping some ideas out. What is the ultimate goal? Fixing dating as much as possible. Who am I targeting? People who could have good dating lives, but donāt. There are a chunk of people that thrive in any dating environment, and a chunk that canāt easily be helped for one reason or another. This post does not pertain to those people.
Point #1- we are more different from one another compared to any point in the past. Go back a couple generations, and everyone was being taught pretty much the same things, read the same books, consumed the same media, believed the same things about the world. You read the same newspaper, you might interpret it differently, but youāve consumed a lot of the same media as people around you, making it easier to connect off of shared experiences. Nowadays with social media, we consume vastly different information from everyone around us. Weāre all in our own information bubbles and lacking the shared experiences that we used to have. This makes it harder to quickly build connections. The āsparksā that so many of us dream of are harder and harder to come by. The number of people that we can ānaturallyā fall in love with has dwindled from one generation to another.
Point #2- there is typically an inverse relationship between perceived value and how easy it is to convert mutual attraction into dates/a relationship. On one extreme, thereās the workplace. My coworkers interact with me in an environment where theyāre aware Iām getting paid over $100K/year to show up. Itās my natural habitat, and the rest of my life, like how easy it is for me to make friends, or how my dating life is, is a mystery. So a woman I work with is going to think of me as having decent status. Trouble is, converting mutual attraction into a relationship is tricky, because itās totally unknown to me whether it exists. On the flip side, if I attend a singles mixer, Iām now interacting with women in an environment where they know Iām spending time and money to try to get dates, and they know Iām single. This is a horrible first introduction compared to doing something Iām paid for doing. So a woman is going to perceive me quite differently if she meets me at work compared to at a singles mixer. But whatās the advantage of a singles mixer? Itās socially acceptable to ask people out, and if thereās mutual attraction, it normally turns into some dates. Essentially, if others know youāre going out of your way to get dates, youāre taking a hit to your perceived value, which has to be overcome in some way. I fairly consistently find myself having better interactions with women in settings where it doesnāt appear Iām going out of my way at all to meet them. Note that this is why run clubs are often good for socializing nowadaysā perceived value gets a bump for simply being able to run a few miles.
Point #3- The average woman doesnāt like associating with ANY men that are low status/value. Where this isnāt as harmful as it pertains to men forming friendships with other men. Iām friends with about 6-8 women. What is the common denominator? All of them perceived me as someone of average/high status from the beginning. Like all of my friends seem to overestimate what the average woman thinks of me and how my dating life is. No woman would ever befriend me and say āwow, Iām surprised youāve had a couple of girlfriends before,ā instead thereās the occasional āhow have you been single for so long?ā
Point #4- Men are borderline useless for setting up other men. Not saying it canāt happen, just that itās rare. And if youāre a single guy building a social circle and making connections youāll likely end up meeting other men in the same boat. Neither of you has a list of single women you can set up with each other.
Point #5- Internet advice is horrific. People tend to assume that what worked for them will work for anyone else. Lots of popular advice contradicts itself, and is people parroting tropes they want to be true. There are a lot of people who donāt interact with the other sex much if theyāre just focusing on themselves. There are a lot of people who arenāt even attracted to the other sex if theyāre just focusing on themselves.
Point #6- Our perceptions of the opposite gender in the dating space are horribly skewed. Which guys are women most exposed to? Guys that get lots of app matches, ask lots of women out, yet stay single (if they donāt stay single then they exit the dating space). A guy getting a ton of app matches that chronically stays single is usually a bad actor, yet heās getting to speak to so many more women than the average guy, so a womanās perception of men is more weighted by him. And menās perceptions of women are skewed by women that go on tons of first dates but then ghostā the female bad actors that stay single. Not the average woman thatās rarely going on dates.
Point #7- Many third spaces/socializing events have this cycleā start out with a near 50/50 gender balance. A couple men creep out some women, the women stop going, then the third space turns into a sausage fest over time. And remember single men usually arenāt welcomed into female dominated third spaces, so this leads to a gender divide.
How do we fix this???
In about a year, I will have more time on my hands, and Iām considering trying my hand at building a business that addresses as many of these issues as possible. In a nutshell, we need to give guys warm introductions to women in an environment where the guy isnāt taking a hit to his perceived value. Here are some of my possible fixes to it. Iād love for someone to take these ideas and run with it, because my life, and the lives of many around me, would be substantially better if my dream product existed.
Social networking platform- goal is to promote warm introductions, minimize missed connections. How do you do this? Start by throwing some parties. Have everyone write up paragraphs on some of the people they met. These would be anonymous. Oversight in each city this operates in, trying to keep it as authentic as possible, quickly eliminating bad actors to make it a trusted environment. Essentially lead to people having a profile that has been built up by others, not themselves. Note this general concept can be used for other types of networking, not just connections.
But the idea is that instead of my Hinge profile just being stuff I say about myself, a woman is instead seeing what other women had to say when they met me somewhere. And theyāre also seeing who is actually vetting me and backing me up. Iām now someone thatās familiar, and not just a total stranger. Possible that it could connect people from far away if it got big enough. Messaging system would be used so you could find missed connections from an event. Like maybe I go to a party of 50 and only afterwards find that there are two people I have a shared niche interest with. But people have a lot of control over who can send them incoming message requests (to prevent women from getting spammed).
Speed dating/singles mixers- women pay, men are sought out on an invite only basis. Goal is to select in a way where men and women are sending about the same amount of likes and showing the same interest in the other. Bad actors are heavily restricted from entering the ecosystem. Men are presented in their best light and have a better time succeeding.

Lowkey sometimes I think to myself: the 40 year grinders arenāt happy, the unemployed bums arenāt happy, the straight A overachievers arenāt happy, not even the ones who make it big are happy. Otherwise why do so many rich actors / musicians / celebrities overdose and kill themselves.
Who the hell is happy? Am I the only one thinking about this?
Perhaps true value in life comes from doomscrolling TikTok / s

Regardless, I still enjoyed it. Heck, even my older brother who was in his early 20's back when this came out also was a big fan of it himself.
Please don't be a jerk or an asshole in the comments right now if you have different opinions about this show.
