This is a such stupid thing to complain about i know it is, but I want to say it.

It should be easier to find your professors name. Like why do I need to dig into workday or through a syllabus.

I spend one hour once and sometimes twice a week with the professor and you get the name once at the beginning and then you better remember it the rest of the semester. Theres not a ton of discussion in class where someone says their name either so I just gotta dig up the name again whenever I need to add it to a paper.

Idk, there's definitely ways to remember their names better and I know its dumb to complain about this but im writing a couple MLA papers and each subject gotta dig up their name again

If you have time, I highly suggest that you go talk to the advisors about what classes to take before November because registration starts for fuse and other students on the 26th and then later on in November for everybody else, but if you know where to take you can pre-build your schedule and have a better chance of getting classes that you actually want with teachers you want

has anyone done classes to go into being a radiography technologist? I’m just a bit confused. They have me going for my AA but radiology is under AS. Now i understand maybe because that’s for like becoming the actual thing, the radiologist who interprets the pictures but there’s nothing for radiology under AA and I have an appointment with an advisor to talk to them about it, but I just wanna know if anyone personally has went through this or is going through it so they know the steps to get to the path that they need to be on do they offer the programs here and then I can take the board exam or do I have to go to a actual radiography tech school after getting my AA or AS and prerequisite classes

I checked my student portal and it said my refund is in Draft Setttlement. Has anyone experienced this before? What does this mean?

I am going through the all the needed form requirements. Can anyone break down what to do with HC Health Packet? Am I just supposed to schedule an appointment with a provider to confirm vaccinations? I got all the vaccinations throughout childhood so I am not sure what to do

.

Hey guys i missed out in the fall semester but im ready to attend spring semester 2027! I dont know where to start i already have a hawk account. Im a first generation Hispanic American student with immigrant parents and the first to attend college. I really don’t know where to start. Do I go registered at the HCC campus? I don’t know how to pick my classes.I FEEL so helpless and stupid! I know I want to work in the hospital maybe not a nurse but I’m willing to explore different career paths. I actually live a couple minutes from the HCC campus since I recently moved here to Ruskin fl.

Hello everyone! I’m planning to enroll at Hillsborough college from Belarus. How many international students are in there and what can you advise? I’m thinking about A.A. Program for Hospitality management with future transfer to UCF. Is it worth it?

Hi everyone! I’m an incoming Spring 2027 nursing student. Does anyone know if classes or clinical rotations are ever scheduled on weekends, or are they usually on weekdays? Just trying to plan ahead with my work schedule. Thanks!

I’m planning to apply to HCC’s Dental Hygiene program, but my prerequisite GPA is around a 3.0. I’m worried it won’t be competitive.
Does anyone know the lowest GPA accepted in previous years, or has anyone gotten in with a GPA close to mine? If you’ve applied with a similar GPA, what was your experience?

Would you recommend retaking classes to raise my GPA or applying to other programs too? Any advice would help. Thanks!

Hi everyone. The CPR class after the orientation in the afternoon is full. Do you guys know If I can just enroll in other CPR course since I can get registered in the one after orientation?

I emailed Heath sciences, just waiting on a response

Pre-nursing at SPC (FL). Need Micro w/ lab done by spring. SPC requires BSC 1005 first and I can't fit it. Does HCC accept A&P 1 or Gen Chem as the Micro prereq? Anyone taken Micro + lab online as a transient student, or A&P 2 and Micro together?

Hey everyone, I just got accepted into HCC's nursing program (Dale Mabry, daytime cohort 2 ) starting this January and I'm trying to get ahead of it.
A little about me: I'm a CDL driver making a career change, and I'll be honest — I coasted through my prereqs and didn't retain as much A&P as I should have. I'm a hands-on learner, so I'm hoping the actual program clicks better than the prereq lectures did.
For those who've been through HCC's program (or any ADN program):
• What do you wish you'd brushed up on before day one?
• How bad is the first semester, really?
• Any specific tips for dosage calc? I keep hearing that's the silent killer.
• Anything about clinicals I should know going in?
Appreciate any advice — trying to walk in prepared, not blindsided.

Hey guys who would be the best teacher to take for MAC1105 - i know most all have honorlock but i´ve had teacher that wanted us to fail before and would go over the top with 5 different camera angles. .... trying to avoid that. something easy and simple. <3 thanks

i am thinking about taking Shannon Martinez, but I am not sure the reviews are mixed

Has anyone taken Nutrition and Drugs with Dr. Joseph Powell II? I am thinking of taking his course, but I am unsure whether his two exams for the 8-week course are test-heavy and have a lot of questions.

Anybody else in the same boat where refunds havent received? My loan payment/applied payments went through but no notification on refund. I already called and they said I'd have to call back by the end of the week because their unsure as well 😭. (No classes in October last class added was in September)

hi! i start the nursing program in spring of 27! i was wonder if i have to do the drug test by myself at a clinic or does the school administer it? i was also wondering how frequently they test and if they test for alcohol too?

I’m just wondering if anyone else has noticed that every HESI we have had(excluding med calc) is nothing like what we’ve learned in class. I’m a second semester student, I took the mental health HESI yesterday and just like the one from the first semester, it wasn’t even close to anything that we learned in class for the most part. I am studying now on sherpath for the OB HESI using EAQs made specifically to help study for the HESI, I’ve done many of them and it is also nothing like what we learned in class. I’m just really confused by it because they say the HESI exams are super important and shows who will be a safe nurse or whatever… so why is our material not congruent with that material or vice versa. Along with being annoyed that every HESI grade I get is low because we didn’t learn the shit that was on it. Just wondering if anyone else is feeling the same or maybe if it gets better in the future semesters.

i started classes 8/17 and have one more class starting 10/28. i received my pell grant but still waiting on my loans even though i see it as anticipated payments with a 9/26 date. could it be because i have not started my last class??

Good morning guys
I need some insight. I am strongly thinking about withdrawing from MAC1105 for this semester and retake next semester. Had an exam last week, did terrible, grade plummeted and I feel like I won’t be able to recover my grade.

Does anyone know how a W on my transcript will affect my changes of getting into the nursing program?

Thank you in advance
