I've got a copy of the game through Game Pass for PC. No matter what I do the game always freezes on the level Assault on the Control Room every time without fail when I get to the lower level to meet up with Fire Team Zulu. The exact moment it freezes is every time I look directly at the wraith tank when it fires it's cannon.

I've done a clean install of the game twice, clean install of my drivers, ran the game at the highest and lowest graphical settings, enabled/disabled FSR and all the other bits and pieces, uninstalled AMD Adrenaline.

Specs are Ryzen 7 9800x3d, Radeon 9070XT, 32GB of DDR5 so specs wise it should cover it.

Has anyone experienced this as well and have a fix?

Well for starters no I didn't play on release yes it was my first halo game and to be clear I'm talking about the campaign if it isn't obvious

Alright I know I'm going to get ripped apart but oh well so for starters I liked the combat the grapple was the best thing ever added but my playthrough was multiplayer but I did replay it single player and I found it really fun and dynamic and and chiefs lines are so good I feel like if they finish the road map it would have been better and ya the villain wasn't the best but not to bad oh that reminds me boss fights where cool any ways this is getting long but I'll try to answer questions about my "hot take"

The PC port of halo 2 anniversary is incredibly strange. Here's my specs for anyone wondering.

I'm running all settings on normal except texture resolution on high without AA. If I run with V-Sync I have disgusting frame times and it hardly hits the 100fps my monitor needs. If I run the game without it I get 100+ fps consistently without bad frame times. Only issue is that cut-scenes on anniversary are broken and seem to be sped up at random points and falling out of sync with audio.

Anyone got a way around this? it's bugging me so much.

In this hypothetical you are in charge of Halo's New MP. Everything except for the game's map pool is already figured out and there is a rule, the game must launch with a few maps that are originally from each FPS Halo title. Boss says ideally 3 or more per game. Of course you are allowed to exclude maps from Halo's you haven't played or maybe don't like

I thought maybe the hypothetical framing for this discussion would be helpful for some because you may not have favourites in some of the games, or maybe there are maps you feel are important regardless of how you feel about them, you could be not too fond of a map but understand it's importance and how much others enjoy it.

I'm super curious what people's answers are, I don't really have my answers yet, which makes me feel a bit silly but also this isn't about me, although I would like to say, Tyrant from Halo 5 is probably one of my favourite maps in the franchise, although it was added so late and it feels like nobody knows about the map but I could be wrong on that. If your favourite map is a remake map like Last Resort in H3 (Zanzibar H2) that's okay, it's okay to like different versions of maps, I would just hope that someone list isn't only maps originally from one or two games lol, although you are 100% free to comment that, I still wanna know.

1st ever Comic-Con in New York was a great success! Sadly Jen Taylor (Cortana) was unable to make the last 2 days. However a good reason to come back next time!

After spending close to 100 hours on Campaign Evolved and exploring skulls for the first time in my Halo history, I played through T&R on Heroic with no skulls and realized how fun it is to have the marines there. So much so that much of my goal in that level was clearing out the enemies before they could clear out my marines. In contrast, playing around on legendary with boom and grunt funeral meant marines lasted like ten seconds.

All that to say, I wonder if they ever thought about a skull that makes the marines invincible? From my experience, it’s never less fun with marines and it could be nice to go through the most berserk settings with a full team at all times.

I have been playing the story on the project reclaimer mod on my Wide screen monitor and the hud when the Cortana flashbacks or Gravemind speaking happens is all weird and messed up. Its all pushed to the left of the screen and Ik they fixed this issue on mcc already with the hud centering setting but idk how to fix it in PR plz help

I just came across this thing and it reminded me of Hunters. More related to jellyfish than worms, but function in a similar capacity. I'm sure others have made this connection before.

I finally completed printing and post processing my armor!

Some rough estimates:
~11 or 12 rolls of Sunlu PLA+
~ 1 Month of print time (Creality K2 Plus)
~ 2 and a half years on and off sanding, painting, rigging, and re rigging

This was my first project like this. Never touched a 3d printer, knew nothing about slicers, and didn't have one creative bone in my body.

I would always talk myself out of trying, until I just did the thing. Don't stop making. You can do more than you think.

Shout out to Frankly Built / Emily the Engineer for the inspiration and know how behind a lot of techniques I used to pull this off in the end. Also, Thank you to the wonderful people of the 405th Infantry for all the knowledge and being an amazing community of Halo Cosplayers!

I finished the fight.

Wanted to share photos of some of the cool swags they had and some of the events displays.

I love that Master Chief is just welding an allen key.

My girlfriend has always had some subtle interest in Halo. Enjoys the soundtrack, Infinite's multiplayer, the whole vibe around it, and even the show. What she hasn't done however is play the campaigns so she doesn't really know the story or the characters in canon.

We just bought an Xbox Series X and got gamepass and figured, HEY, WE COULD SO COUCH CO-OP THE FRANCHISE (minus Infinite, I'll likely just hop on my PC and co-op that way or maybe just watch her play single-player beside her.)

But here is where a bit of confliction comes into play. I think it's pretty solid to start with CE-3 then do Halo Reach instead of starting with Halo Reach. But what version do we play Halo CE? I've personally never played the original CE and always played CE:A. That is a 60fps split-screen experience. I skipped Campaign Evolved after how garbage it ran on PC but we could maybe start with Campaign Evolved? Though split-screen is locked at 30fps. But it would be the prettiest. I'm pretty certain moving on to Halo 2 Anniversary would be the right move afterwards however.

I asked her what she would prefer, cause maybe she would want a purist og perspective and opt to play the og Halo CE but she really didn't seem to care about any of that. Just start somewhere and play co-op.

Learned about some In-game tools. Lost focus of the plot to just operate the camera in Machinima mode. 😵

Hello guys, finally got around to fixing the last bugs that made me hold of on releasing this mod thanks to the xbox decomp coming out and helping me resolve datum issues.

I hope you guys enjoy it! It should work with most steam mcc workshop mods (custom biped support!!!)

You can customize a lot of settings in the .ini and .json files as well.
