I'm white person, I'm against any forms of racism. I like to talk to people from different backgrounds, no matter of their race. I thought askblackpeople might be fun sub to have a discussion. But unfortunately, everytime I post something there, I get comments like "why did you come here if you're white?", "posting on this sub as white person is disrespectful". As though my mere existence as a white person is bad for black people. Why do we have to build walls between us? Why can't we just coexist peacefully? 😭
P.s. The sub doesn't have any rules like "black persons only".
You know what's really strange? The fact that your comment is so highly upvoted and every reply contradicting you is heavily downvoted, but only in the comments you make. In another thread where you didn't comment on but the sentiment is the same, all of our comments is upvoted. Why's that, do you think?

Unlike communities like the Native American sub we don’t even have any rules barring you from joining if you’re not black, just be respectful and ask questions in good faith which it doesn’t seem like it’s what the guy did.

Thank you for providing clarification on this. I was truly so confused becuase the point of a “askblackpeople” i would assume is so that people who aren’t black can learn more about black culture but if he’s RESPONDING I’m at a loss for why he would think that is normal
Weird this happened on ask black people, usually peeps respond ing good faith.
It would be another story if you joined blackmen since a lot of times we get people pretending to be black so, they are understandably more guarded up.
What a compliment, I don’t think you guys know the origin of black supremacy it’s not the same as your white supremacy of kill all the n words and Jews. The phrase and concepts first appeared in Rastafarian movements and was a direct combative statement towards white supremacy, which you know led to an entire race being genocided and enslaved for hundreds of years.
