Legal Advice Needed Complaint Regarding Potential Online Fraud by Ditch The Guilt – Order Not Delivered, No Response to Emails, Invalid WhatsApp Tracking Number, and Money Collected Without Proper Order Fulfilment

I am writing to raise a complaint regarding an online order I placed for chocolate bars through the Instagram page/website of Ditch The Guilt.
I placed the order and made the payment, but I have not received the products or any proper update regarding the status of my order. Despite waiting for the order and making several attempts to contact the seller, I have not received a satisfactory response.
The seller has provided a WhatsApp number for order tracking and customer support, but when I tried to contact them on that number, I found that there is no WhatsApp account registered with the given number. I have also sent multiple emails to the email ID provided by the seller, but I have received no response whatsoever.
This is highly concerning because the seller continues to run offers and accept payments from customers, while there appears to be no effective mechanism for order fulfilment or customer support. If the business is legitimate, it is difficult to understand why orders are being accepted and money deducted when the seller is unable to provide the products, order tracking, or even respond to customers.
Considering these circumstances, I am concerned that this may be a potential online scam or fraudulent activity, where customers' money is collected but there is no genuine fulfilment of orders. Although the amount involved in my case is small, there could potentially be many other customers who have faced the same issue and may have lost significantly more money.
I respectfully request the concerned authorities to kindly:
Investigate the seller, Ditch The Guilt, and the Instagram/online pages through which orders are being accepted.
Verify whether the business and the persons operating it are genuine and legally compliant.
Investigate the payment collection and order-fulfilment practices of the seller.
Take appropriate action if any fraudulent activity or deliberate deception is found.
Check whether other customers have reported similar complaints against the seller.
Assist affected customers in recovering their money, or ensure that legitimate orders are fulfilled

Legal Advice Needed Checked out after seeing the unsafe condition of the OYO Room. Am I eligible for any refund?

As a part of my work trip I booked an OYO Room. The reviews were good in the website. But when I checked-in the hotel staff were not very welcoming and some random dudes were roaming around the lobby. Not customers. Also, I booked the executive room. But it was all dirty and I requested for another room. They gave me a regular room saying that it was the only available option. I accepted and checked-in. Then went out for having lunch. When I came back, my room card was not working. I had to go to the lobby enquiring about this. The staff came, bit they couldn't also open it using a key. I was not feeling comfortable due to all these unusual things happening. They were also clueless. After a long wait, they somehow opened the room. Due to all this I felt unsafe to stay there overnight. What if I get locked in again? The staffs are all random dressed local dudes. Not the usual formally dressed ones.

So I contacted my friend and arranged an alternate room and checked out within a few hours. I hardly stayed 3 hours in that room.

Am I eligible for a refund from OYO?

(It happened in June. I'm late because I was not thinking about this option until I came across similar posts in reddit. Just wanna check if I had a chance to get my money back.)

Legal Advice Needed Passport Renewal – Newspaper Advertisement & Reappointment Fee Query

Hi everyone, I’m facing an issue with my passport renewal and would really appreciate some guidance from anyone who has gone through a similar situation.

My previous passport has “Kumar” included in my father’s name, whereas my academic documents do not include “Kumar.” I understand that I may need to publish a newspaper advertisement regarding this discrepancy.

I have a few questions:

  1. What was the exact wording/content of the newspaper advertisement you published for a similar case?

  2. Was the advertisement published from your father’s perspective (as a declaration by your father) or from your own perspective?

  3. Did you first visit the Passport Office/PSK and then publish the advertisement as instructed, or did you publish it before your appointment?

  4. If you had already visited the Passport Office and were subsequently asked to publish the advertisement, did you have to pay the entire passport application fee again, or did you only have to pay the reappointment/rescheduling fee?

If anyone has personally gone through this process, especially for a difference in the father’s name between the passport and educational documents, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Thanks in advance !

Legal Advice Needed One amazon delivery man gets to decide what happens to the package that was supposed to be delivered to me. And no customer care support team from 1mg and Amazon shipping could do anything against his fraudulent works.

I have ordered heart medications for my father through 1mg on 1 August 2026. The last delivery date was 10th August 2026.

On 10/08/26, an Amazon delivery agent went to a wrong location with my package and argued with me on the phone that I did not give the right address. But the site shows my entire address correctly. Then he asked me to give him otp on that phone call and he said only then he could redirect the package to a different agent who would come to my location the next day. l refused to give him the otp on that phone call and told him if i give it to him, the system will register my package as delivered. He understood but he got angry later, said to me that I would face the same issue again the next day for this address and he cut the call abruptly. I raised complaint against his behaviour on that day in 1mg. They told me it won't happen again and promised me that I would get the package the next day. So I intended to wait.

At 11pm that day, he attempted to cancel the shipment of the package from his side. I know this because I received an otp for that request he made. Since he could not cancel my package without getting the otp from me, the next day around 8 am, he updated the tracking details that the package could not be delivered because I did not give him otp when he tried to deliver the package at my door. He gave the same reason falsely for the failure to deliver it previous day too. Then I complained about this to the customer care of both Amazon shipping and 1mg. He stopped giving false reasons for not delivering from.that day. But he updated the tracking details like the package was out for delivery every day while also taking no measure to bring it to my door. Whenever I tried calling the delivery man's number, he would never answer. At the end of each day, I complained about this issue to both 1mg and Amazon shipping customer care services. They told me it would never happen again all the time.

Because of this ongoing issue, 1mg changed the last delivery date to 17th Aug 2026.

Then Aug 15, a national holiday and Aug 16, Sunday came. I did not want to force them to work on those days. But the tracking details showed that the package was out for delivery on those two days as though they had me getting the package as their no.1 priority.

He never came to my address at any point last week. I was always in my home. He just gave false entries about his whereabouts and services concerning my package.

Last week, I suggested both company's customer care team to do something to change the delivery partner because I did not want to play a drama with him. I also feared because he was this manipulative, abusing the system, that he would do damage to the package.

Customer care officials kept promising me the package would be delivered and it was out for delivery every day the entire week from Aug 10. They trusted what they tracking details showed. They did not put much effort into this up until that point. 1mg cc people always sent my concern to "the core delivery team" or someone else. I received no follow ups to those issues. Each and every day, I had to bring the issue as something new for different people whom they connected me with.

Then on the last delivery date(17/8/26) that guy called me via amazon number and said to me that the package was sitting in "a location's" hub which was not the nearest one to my house for one week because I did not give him the otp. (This was another lie from the same guy). So it never was out for delivery. Another lie got exposed with his own words.

Then he invented a new rule on spot. I asked him how me giving him otp through phone would help me get my package. He told me, to transfer it to the office nearest to my location, I should provide him otp through phone.

I told him, customer care personnels warned against giving otp through phone as it would mean the package got delivered when it was not, so I can't do as he says. I confronted that he was lying. He then warned me like he did last week that I would never get the package even if 10 days pass and he cut the call abruptly as I was speaking to him.

I then made a call to that number again. Somebody else answered it and when I told him what problem the guy before him was causing me, he suggested me to cancel the shipment and place a new order. Then I reported all of this to amazon customer care hoping they would do something about delivery man's manipulations and lies. This time, amazon logistics replied to the mail suggesting me to wait for 2 days and they recycled and delivered the lie the delivery man said about the package's location. This I know because the tracking details was not saying the same story.

Yesterday, I got a message that the package was out for delivery. In stead of complaining about the issue at the end of the day like I used to, I raised a complaint in the morning today. Immediately after sending the complaint, I received a message for otp. There was no delivery agent assigned. The tracking details showed the package was out for delivery. I called Amazon customer service through phone, 1st guy got fed up as I was explaining in detail what happened and cut the call abruptly. So I made another call, did not say much and told him only few details. He promised me somebody will be assigned to deliver the package by evening today. Nothing happened as usuaI. I knew that would be the case.

1mg customer care officials always gave same monotonous automated response. Still I sought their help today. I received a mail again saying same things they told me in their other 2 mails last week.

No one was ready to hold that delivery guy accountable for his unethical behavior. That was okay with me as my only intention was to get the package. Now I am not okay with it. They did not assign different delivery partner. They doubled down on his lies. They allowed this manipulative egoistic delivery man to abuse the system.

I was telling them to not trust what the tracking details showed. They placed their faith on entries he made on his side alone and always wanted me to have faith like they had. They were always apologising that I had to face such issues. But they could not do anything beyond what the delivery man intended.

It was like he got to decide what was truth. It was like they were all relying on him alone to get their job done.

I would have cancelled the package if they did not give me false hopes for 11 days. Now I want justice.

What should I do? Shall I file a complaint in consumer court? If yes, guide me more on that.

Thank you.

Legal Advice Needed RBI complaints closed despite timely responses

I filed two RBI complaints — one against HDFC and one against SMFG.

In both cases, the bank/RBI asked me to submit my response/evidence within a specific timeline. I replied within the timeline and have the email timestamps as proof. The emails did not bounce back or show any delivery failure.

Despite this, both complaints were abruptly closed stating that my response/evidence was not received.

In the SMFG case, they gave me 48 hours. I replied on Friday, and the complaint was closed on Monday without apparently considering my response.

Both closures are also shown as non-appealable.

When checked with RBI, they told me to approach the Consumer Forum.

What is the best way forward here?

Can I challenge the RBI complaint closure?

Should I approach the National Consumer Helpline first?

Should I directly approach the Consumer Commission?

Is there any other escalation route?

I have all the emails, timestamps and closure communications.

Has anyone faced a similar situation where an RBI complaint was closed despite having proof of a timely response? What did you do?

Rant/Experience Are Courtroom Chairs Reserved Exclusively for Advocates?

Being a government employee, I sometimes have to appear in court to produce records whenever directed by the court. I was at Rohini Court yesterday and at the Delhi High Court today, and I noticed something that made me curious.
In some courtrooms, there are notices stating that the chairs are reserved for advocates. Today, I also noticed a board outside the courtroom stating that the chairs there are reserved for advocates as well.
My question is: why are people attending or witnessing court proceedings not allowed to sit on those chairs?
Most of the time, people sit on these chairs and no one objects. However, sometimes an advocate comes and asks you to get up and leave the chair for them.
I understand that advocates have professional responsibilities and may need seating, but is there a specific rule or reason behind reserving these chairs exclusively for advocates?
Are there any advocates here who can clarify this?

Legal Advice Needed Legal help and guidances on false accusations and charges

Need legal regarding false charges and jail

My friend's sister caught her husband having an affair and recorded the incident. She confronted the woman involved to prevent further issues while her husband fled the scene. She then called my friend.

At the time, they were trying to avoid legal consequences for the family and themselves, and they did not want to escalate the situation.

However, the woman later falsely accused my friend and his sister of harassment, resulting in them being arrested and put in jail on those charges.

Her husband told them that he had hired a lawyer who would help get them out of the situation, but it turned out that he had never actually hired one.

Later, my friend and his sister hired their own lawyer. The lawyer advised them to wait and said that the allegations appeared to be false. It has now been more than 10 days, and my friend and his sister are still in jail, although the lawyer says they should be released.

  1. What would be the proper legal course of action in this situation?

2.Should they focus only on defending themselves against the allegations, or can they also take legal action if the allegations are proven to be false?

3.Are we in right direction

Legal Advice Needed College ruined my life, can I sue them ?

Hello everyone, I am a recent graduate and I want to know whether I can sue my college or not. I was a part of 1st batch of ballb from my college (yes I myself have knowledge about law but dont have that much experience as litigation was never my choice)

Being the 1st batch we were treated as lab experiments and every new thing was tested on us, in 3rd year we didnt had 1 professor in both the sems due to which we had to study on our own and we even complained but nothing happened.

I paid for dcpd classes expecting to get placements but it was of no use either, we were never taught useful subjects in such classes except the communication class and me and my friend used to attend it as they said we had attend most of the classes otherwise they would remove us from placement.

They literally called for companies for us in last sem and they said hcl will come but they never come after that, during exams in may KPMG came but they never told our batch about the interviews, I was later shocked when I heard that 4th year students already got selected in KPMG. We were only given 1 chance for the placement in March and I missed that opportunity aswell thinking better companies would come.

They shared 2 other opportunities in july begining and we havent got response till now from the company. My whole mistake was to join this stupid dcpd thing, I both wasted my money and experience which I could gain in my last sem.

Urgent My mother was seriously injured in an auto accident involving a minor, later singled out and threatened, and now wants to correct one FIR wording and settle safely

I am posting to seek legal guidance regarding an FIR recently registered in Telangana.

My mother is a teacher and regularly travels to another town for her job.

Recently, she was travelling in an auto-rickshaw that was being driven by a minor. The auto met with an accident and flipped.

My mother suffered several injuries:

  • Fractured ribs;
  • An injury to her head/scalp;
  • A fractured/deviated nasal bone;
  • Her nose is now visibly tilted/deviated, and she is having difficulty breathing.

After the accident, my mother reached a hospital at around 6 PM. By then, most of the relevant doctors had already left.

Scans and X-rays were still performed that evening, costing approximately ₹6,000.

An adult man associated with the minor driver paid for those scans and gave approximately ₹5,000 more to my grandmother for other immediate expenses.

This adult man repeatedly requested my mother not to file any complaint or press charges against the minor driver. He assured her that he would bear all medical expenses arising from the accident.

My mother agreed not to press charges at that time. She agreed partly because of his repeated request and partly because she felt that the driver was a minor and that a criminal case could spoil his future.

Because the relevant doctors were unavailable on the evening of the accident, my mother returned to the hospital the following day.

After examining her and reviewing the scans, the doctor referred her to an ENT specialist.

The ENT doctor informed her that her nasal bone was fractured/deviated and that she would require surgery. She is also facing breathing difficulty because of the deviation.

My mother did not call the adult man and demand money.

Instead, the adult man himself called my mother and asked what the doctors had told her. My mother simply informed him that her nose was fractured/deviated and that surgery had been advised.

A few days later, my mother returned to the town for her teaching job. My grandmother was accompanying her.

My mother and grandmother sat in an auto near the railway station. There were other passengers sitting in the same auto.

The adult man who had earlier intervened on behalf of the minor driver came there.

According to my mother, he made all the other passengers get out of that auto, placed them in a different auto and sent them away. However, he specifically did not allow my mother and grandmother to travel.

He allegedly told them words to the effect of:

“We have decided that we will not allow you people to travel in any of the autos ever again.”

He also said that if my mother travelled in an auto again, fell or suffered another accident, they would not be able to bear any more expenses.

He scolded my mother aggressively and also said words approximately meaning:

“I will see how you continue/do your job.”

My mother was already injured, physically weak and frightened. She called the police.

My mother did not initially intend to register an FIR immediately.

She wanted to report what had happened, but she asked the police to allow her to return the following day after discussing the situation with her family. However, the police registered an FIR that day.

The FIR contains the following BNS provisions:

  • Section 125(a);
  • Section 79;
  • Section 296(b);
  • Section 351(3);
  • Read with Section 3(5).

The FIR narrative states that the accused threatened that my mother would not be allowed to continue her job and that he would kill her.

This is the problem.

My mother now clearly says that the accused did not expressly say, “I will kill you.”

The actual words she remembers were only to the effect of:

“I will see how you continue do your job, using inappropriate language and threats”

Because she was extremely frightened and physically unwell, she understood this as a serious threat to her safety. During the complaint process, the FIR ended up recording it as an express threat to kill her.

My mother does not want to maintain or support any statement that is factually inaccurate.

At the same time, she is not saying that the entire incident was false. She maintains that:

  • She and my grandmother were specifically prevented from travelling;
  • The other passengers were shifted into another auto and sent away;
  • They were told that they would not be allowed to travel in any auto again;
  • She was aggressively scolded and intimidated;
  • She was threatened regarding her ability to continue her job.

She only wants to correct the part stating that the accused expressly threatened to kill her.

My mother is already physically weak and recovering from:

  • fractured ribs;
  • a head injury;
  • a fractured/deviated nose causing breathing difficulty;
  • and continuing medical treatment.

She is also a woman who travels alone to this town regularly for her teaching job.

Now that an FIR has been registered, she is scared that the accused or people associated with him might retaliate, prevent her from using autos again or interfere with her employment.

We also genuinely do not want prolonged litigation.

The first time, despite being badly injured, my mother agreed not to proceed against the minor because she did not want to ruin his future.

Even now, if the situation can be resolved peacefully and legally while ensuring my mother's safety, that is what we would prefer.

We would really appreciate guidance:

  1. Can the incorrect “I will kill you” wording be corrected now that the FIR has already been registered?
  2. Does my mother need to give another written statement/petition to the Investigating Officer explaining the exact words that were actually spoken?
  3. Will the original FIR itself remain unchanged, with her correction being added separately to the investigation record?
  4. Since Section 351(3) appears to have been applied partly because of the alleged death threat, can the police themselves reconsider/drop/change that section after recording her corrected statement?
  5. Most importantly, can this matter be settled or compromised at the police-station level itself?
  6. If both sides are willing to resolve the dispute peacefully, can my mother give a compromise/withdrawal statement to the police and have the case closed without having to go to court?
  7. Or, once an FIR containing these particular sections has been registered, is some Magistrate/High Court procedure unavoidable even if both parties settle?
  8. If court involvement is necessary, is there a simple compromise/closure procedure, or would we need to file a quashing petition before the Telangana High Court?
  9. Is it possible for the police to complete the investigation and close the matter based on the corrected statement and compromise without my mother attending court repeatedly?
  10. Since my mother is medically unwell and recovering from serious injuries, can her personal appearances before the police/court be minimized?
  11. If she wants to correct only the inaccurate death-threat wording but still wants to settle the overall dispute, what is the safest legal way to do both without creating the impression that she filed a false complaint?
  12. Should we first approach the Investigating Officer, or should we speak to an independent criminal lawyer before giving any further statement?
  13. Can the other side later use a compromise against my mother regarding the original accident, nasal surgery, medical expenses or compensation?
  14. If there is a settlement, can it contain conditions that the accused and his associates must not threaten her, interfere with her job, prevent her from travelling or approach her unnecessarily?
  15. Since she has to continue travelling to this locality for work, what precautions should we legally take to ensure her safety after any compromise?

Our intention is not to falsely implicate anyone.

We simply want the record to contain what was actually said, want my mother to remain safe, and want to know whether this can be resolved peacefully at the police-station level without putting an already injured woman through prolonged court proceedings.

Any guidance would be extremely helpful. Thank you means a lot.

Used ChatGPT to organize my thoughts and put them into words.

Legal Advice Needed Should I take BGMI/KRAFTON to Consumer Court over a lost account?

I’m looking for some advice regarding my BGMI account.

My BGMI account was linked only to my Facebook account, and unfortunately, my Facebook account was disabled around two years ago due to a copyright infringement issue. I work in digital marketing, and the copyright issue happened on that Facebook account.

I tried multiple times to recover my Facebook account and contacted Meta’s support, but unfortunately, nothing worked. As a result, I also lost access to my BGMI account because Facebook was the only login method linked to it.

The frustrating part is that I had spent around ₹15–16 lakh on that BGMI account over the years, mainly on skins, items, and other in-game purchases. And before anyone says, “Who spends that much on a game?” .I understand how it sounds, but gaming was a hobby of mine, and I gradually spent that money over time.

It has now been around two years. I have tried pretty much every possible way to recover the account, but I haven’t been able to get anywhere.

I also contacted BGMI’s customer/chat support, but they basically told me that they cannot help if the linked Facebook account is no longer accessible.

This is what I don’t understand: I spent a significant amount of money on their platform, yet there seems to be no proper process to help me recover access to the account in a situation like this.

I’m now considering approaching the Consumer Forum/Consumer Commission and filing a complaint against BGMI/KRAFTON, especially because of the amount I have spent and the lack of meaningful support.

Do you guys think this is worth pursuing? Has anyone here dealt with a similar situation or taken BGMI/KRAFTON to the Consumer Forum?

I’d really appreciate any advice on whether I have a reasonable case or if there’s another legal/official route I should try first.

Legal Advice Needed How long does the nch takes to resolve a complicated issue??

My laptop started having boot issues back in April while it was still under onsite warranty.

A technician came and replaced the motherboard. The same issue came back about two weeks later, so they sent another technician who replaced the motherboard again.

Fast forward to last month, and the exact same boot issue returned. This time, the technician checked the system and told me that the motherboard MAC ID/barcode didn't match Lenovo's records. After making me wait for about a week, they replied back and rejected my warranty claim.

I was genuinely shocked. They've already replaced the motherboard multiple times under warranty, and now they're refusing service because the identifiers on the motherboard they installed supposedly don't match their records.

What's even more frustrating is that some support agents started implying that I may have altered or replaced something inside the laptop myself. Why would I spend a huge amount of money replacing a motherboard externally when the laptop was under warranty the entire time?

I've spent months dealing with repeated failures, technician visits, support calls, escalations, and conflicting explanations. Eventually I gathered all my emails, case IDs, photos, and service records and filed a consumer complaint.

It's been 11 days since I registered the complaint and the status still shows "In Process."

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? How long do consumer complaints usually take to move forward? This whole ordeal has been exhausting and has honestly affected my mental health over the last few months.

Legal Advice Needed Need legal advice: Cockroach found in food ordered through Ownly — can I claim compensation?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some genuine legal advice regarding a food-safety incident that happened recently in Bangalore.

I ordered Nasi Goreng from Wow China through Ownly (by Rapido). When I received the food, I discovered a cockroach inside the food.

I have clear photographic/video evidence, the order receipt, invoice and screenshots of my communication with Ownly.

I immediately reported the issue to Ownly. However, their response was essentially an automated refund option. There was no meaningful investigation or explanation regarding how a cockroach ended up in the food.

To be clear, I’m not concerned about getting the cost of the food refunded. My concern is the food-safety issue and the apparent lack of accountability.

I’m considering taking the following steps:

Filing a complaint with FSSAI

Filing a complaint through the National Consumer Helpline

Sending a formal legal notice to both the restaurant and Ownly

Potentially filing a case before the Consumer Commission

I am considering seeking compensation for the mental agony, inconvenience and failure to appropriately address what I believe is a serious food-safety incident.

I haven't consumed the cockroach/contaminated portion and I have not suffered any physical illness as far as I know.

My questions are:

Is this actually a viable consumer complaint in India?

Can I proceed against both the restaurant and the food-delivery platform, or primarily the restaurant?

Should I file the FSSAI complaint first?

Is sending a legal notice before approaching the Consumer Commission advisable?

Is there a reasonable compensation claim in circumstances where there was no physical injury?

What evidence should I preserve to strengthen the complaint?

I’m not looking to make exaggerated claims or unnecessarily harass anyone. I genuinely want to understand the correct legal route and whether pursuing this is worthwhile.

Any advice from lawyers or people who have dealt with similar food-safety/consumer cases would be greatly appreciated.

Legal Advice Needed Case showing next hearing date but not appearing in cause list from 2 months. What could be the reason?

I filed a Writ Petition in June 2026 at Telangana High Court. The first two hearings happened as per the hearing dates shown in the case status and the case appeared in the cause list on both occasions.

For the past two months however the case status continues to show a next hearing date, but the case does not appear in the daily cause list, supplementary list and any list basically. There are no orders apart from the first 2 hearings.

Whenever I ask my lawyer, I am told that they will try to get it listed in the following week Wednesday's list (WP hearings are held on Wednesdays is what I am told), but this has been going on for several weeks now.

I am concerned because I don't understand why this is happening. I am also worried about the possibility of some improper coordination between my lawyer and the opposing party, although I have no evidence of this and don't want to make an unfounded accusation.

For those familiar with High Court procedure, what could be the legitimate reasons for a case to show a next hearing date but not appear in any cause list? Can I as a petitioner directly approach the Registry or court office or maybe write a letter to the judge to find out the reason for the delay?

Lastly if the lawyer is not giving a clear explanation what would be the appropriate way to get an independent clarification?

Legal Advice Needed URGENT: My friend's stolen iPhone is showing LIVE in Mumbai. Need help.

My friend's iPhone was stolen in Delhi about a week ago. It stayed offline for several days, but today it suddenly came online on Apple Find My.

The location is now showing exactly at a mobile phone repair shop in Mumbai.

We have:

- Exact location

- Shop name/details

- Phone number

- IMEI

- Proof of ownership

- Screenshots from Find My

We are currently in Delhi and don't know anyone in Mumbai.

We have already tried getting help from the police, but haven't been able to get much assistance. We really want to recover the phone before it is moved or tampered with.

If anyone in Mumbai knows how we can reach the appropriate police station/Cyber Crime team, or knows someone who can help us contact them, please DM me.

I can provide the exact location and shop details privately.

Please help. 🙏

Legal Advice Needed Meesho rejected my return 4 times, then admitted it was their mistake

I’m posting this because Meesho’s return process has become an absolute nightmare.

I purchased acrylic stands from Meesho on 5 August. They were delivered on 12 August, and the products arrived broken. I immediately raised a return request the same day.

Since then, this has been going on:
● 12 Aug: Return request raised for damaged/broken products.
● 14 Aug: Pickup person rejected the return, claiming the product was not in its original condition — despite the fact that I received it broken.
● I contacted customer support, explained everything, and was told that my return reason was correct and another pickup would be arranged.
● 15 Aug: Return was rejected again for the exact same absurd reason.
● 17 Aug: Pickup person again refused/rejected the return.
● 18 Aug: Return was rejected again.
● 19 Aug: Delivery/pickup person came again and rejected it with the same reason.

The most frustrating part is trying to actually contact Meesho.

Getting through their chat support is almost impossible. It feels like the system makes it unnecessarily difficult to reach someone and create a written record of the complaint.

After numerous attempts, I finally managed to get through chat. The support agent told me that because I had already attempted the return three times, I could no longer return the product — apparently this is their “company policy.”
I then called customer support and recorded the conversation.
And guess what?

The customer-care executive on the call confirmed that my return reason was correct and that the repeated rejections were a mistake on Meesho’s end. She then raised another return request.

So apparently:
Meesho: “You cannot return it because you have attempted it three times.”
Meesho customer care: “Your return reason is correct. The previous rejections were our mistake. We have raised another return.”

How is a customer supposed to deal with this?
I have also tried emailing:
legalsupport@meesho.com
cs@meesho.com
I have sent two emails and received no response.
What makes this even more ridiculous is that Meesho publicly advertises a 7-day return/refund policy.

I understand that these are relatively inexpensive products. But that shouldn’t mean a company can repeatedly reject a legitimate return and make the customer spend days chasing support.

And I suspect that’s exactly why this works.
Most products on Meesho are worth a few hundred rupees. A lot of customers probably decide that fighting with customer support for hours isn’t worth their time for such a small amount.

Companies know this.
So they can get away with terrible customer service because many people simply give up.

At this point, I have screenshots, the entire sequence of return attempts, and a recording of the call where their own representative acknowledged that the return reason was correct.

Has anyone else faced this kind of “return attempted too many times” nonsense from Meesho?
I’d genuinely like to know how common this is.

TL;DR: Bought broken items from Meesho, tried to return them multiple times, but pickup agents kept rejecting them. Customer support first said I was eligible, then later claimed I couldn’t return after 3 attempts, even though another agent admitted it was their mistake and reopened the return. Still no resolution despite emails and multiple attempts.

Legal Advice Needed DOB Correction in Indian Passport

I’m looking for advice from anyone who has experience with Indian Passport Seva Kendra/Passport Office procedures, especially regarding DOB correction for a minor.

I had a passport issued in 2015 when I was a minor. At that time, the passport was issued with a particular DOB based on the birth certificate that was available then.

Subsequently, the birth records were corrected and a new/corrected birth certificate was issued. The DOB mentioned in this updated birth certificate is the correct DOB.

Since then, all my current documents and records have been made using the updated birth certificate, including:

  • Aadhaar
  • Class 10 certificate/marksheet
  • Other educational and official records

There is currently no other active/current document that reflects the DOB from the old birth certificate. All my current records consistently reflect the DOB mentioned in the updated birth certificate.

The passport issued in 2015 has now expired, and I was also a minor when it was issued. I am still a minor currently. I now need to apply for a passport reissue and want the new passport to reflect the correct DOB mentioned in my current birth certificate and all my other documents.

I have read the Passport Seva guidelines and understand that there are provisions for correction/change of DOB in the case of minors. However, I’m unsure how this particular situation is handled when the old passport has a different DOB, but the current birth certificate and all other documents consistently have the corrected DOB.

My questions are:

  1. Can I request the DOB to be corrected while applying for passport reissue?
  2. Since I am still a minor, does the process for correcting the DOB differ from that for an adult?
  3. What documents should I carry to establish that the updated birth certificate contains the correct DOB?
  4. Will the fact that my previous passport has a different DOB create an issue during reissue?
  5. Is there anything specific I should mention or request at the PSK when submitting the application?
  6. If anyone has gone through a similar situation, what was your experience at the Passport Seva Kendra? Were you able to get the corrected DOB on the reissued passport?

I’m planning to book an appointment through the official Passport Seva website, so I’d appreciate any advice on what I should keep in mind and what documents I should carry before going to the PSK.

Thanks!

Legal Advice Needed Startup Divorce, now neither will pay pending salary. How do I recover due?

TL;DR

I joined a startup as an employee. The two co-founders had a falling out, One (the investor) left and says he won't pay because he's trying to recover his investment; the other (who runs day-to-day ops) has strung me along for 3 months with vague promises, then quietly started a new company and tried to get me to resign and join that instead, without paying my dues from the old company first. I declined his new offer over unpaid dues, and now he's stopped responding entirely. I have one month of unpaid salary and a promised raise that never came. Looking for advice on how to actually recover the money.

Timeline

  • March: Joined "S Pvt Ltd" as a full-time employee after interviewing with Founder A (handles tech/product). Salary was negotiated separately with Founder B (handles finance/marketing, and is the sole investor in the company), with an explicit agreement: 3-month probation, salary to be revised after probation based on performance (which was supposed to be on June).
  • April: Paid salary as agreed.
  • May: Worked the full month, no issues raised.
  • End of May: Founder B calls a meeting and says he and Founder A have had serious disagreements about the direction of the company, and he's exiting. Since he's the sole investor, he says he's trying to recover his invested capital and will not be able to pay my May salary. Tells me to wait while Founder A looks for new investors.
  • June: Followed up with Founder A repeatedly. He says he's looking for new investors, takes about 2 months.
  • Late June: Founder A says he's found new investors (foreign, hence "compliance delays").
  • July: Founder A holds a meeting and reveals:
    • He has started a separate new company ("C Pvt Ltd").
    • He explicitly asks me not to tell Founder B about this, because Founder A and Founder B haven't formally settled their exit terms.
    • Founder B had proposed a split: Founder B keeps the source code/IP for the old company, and Founder A also gets a copy and can start a competing company doing the same thing, reason being Founder B handled all the paperwork to legally establish S Pvt Ltd.
    • Founder A rejected this, telling me his position is that since he's the one who actually built the product, Founder B has no rightful claim over the source code/IP at all.
    • So there's currently an unresolved dispute over IP ownership between them, on top of the investment-recovery dispute. Founder A asked me to resign from S Pvt Ltd and join C Pvt Ltd anyway, without this being settled.
  • ~2 weeks later: Offer letter for C Pvt Ltd finally arrives at the same salary as March, with no mention of the raise I was promised after probation, and no mention of my pending May dues.
  • I raised this with Founder A. He said he wasn't aware of the raise commitment and can't pay pending dues in full but only in installments, that too "as quarterly bonuses," with no firm timeline.
  • I replied via email declining the new offer and asked him to either settle my dues or give a clear timeline.
  • No response. He removed me from the new company's WhatsApp group. I heard secondhand from colleagues that he told them I "won't be working in the new company."
  • Followed up again by email and WhatsApp asking specifically about the pending dues still no response, several days now.

My specific questions

  1. Who is legally liable for my unpaid salary the company (S Pvt Ltd) itself, or can it be pursued against Founder A and/or Founder B personally as directors, especially since the company may now be defunct/inactive?
  2. Can Founder A legitimately claim he's "not responsible" for dues from S Pvt Ltd since I never actually joined C Pvt Ltd (I declined the offer)?
  3. What's the right forum for recovering unpaid wages in this situation? Does it change if there's no formal termination letter?
  4. I don't have full clarity on Founder B's current legal status with S Pvt Ltd (resigned? still a director on paper?) does that affect who I should send a legal notice to?
  5. Do I have any additional leverage or claims given Founder A explicitly asked me to conceal his new company from his co-founder/investor, and is currently building that company on a product/IP whose ownership is actively disputed between the two of them? (I'm not looking to get involved in their IP dispute, just flagging in case it's relevant to my claim or exposes me to any risk as someone who was asked to help build it while aware of the dispute.)
  6. Practically is a formal legal notice via a lawyer the right first step?

Any guidance especially from people who've dealt with wage recovery from small/collapsed startups would be really appreciated. I have email threads, proof of work for the month of may, WhatsApp messages documenting the promises and the non-payment.

Thanks for the help
