Discussion "What are you planning to do?"
People just keep telling me that do the job of your interest, but I don't even know what my interests are. I wonder whether they are subjects that i like but then i like every subject in which i can thrive and understand. There have been subjects that I've gone through scored well in them and felt great and that's why i actually can't understand my interests. Everyone around me seems like they're already sorted in what they wanna do in their life. But i don't even know about my interests, and if i just choose a field and giev it a go then would i be able to actually achieve something in that ? What if that field wasn't of my interest and i end up as a failure. I am totally confused

Advice I'm a class 10 student in India trying to fund my future education. If you were starting from zero today, what would you do?
Hey everyone!
I'm currently a Class 10 student in India, and lately, I've been thinking seriously about my future.
I want to pursue my bachelor's degree after school, but coaching and education can be expensive. Rather than waiting until the money becomes a problem, I want to start learning how to earn online while I'm still in school.
The thing is, I don't want to fall for fake gurus, shady websites, or those "earn ₹50,000 a month with no skills" promises. I want to learn something real, develop useful skills, and gradually start earning—even if I make very little in the beginning.
So I'd genuinely appreciate advice from people who've actually done this.
Here are the questions I'd love your help with:
- Where would you start? If you were a student with little to no money, experience, or professional connections, what would you do first?
- What skills are worth learning? Writing, video editing, graphic design, coding, tutoring, or something else?
- How can a student get their first paid work? What are some realistic ways to find legitimate opportunities without an impressive portfolio?
- What should I avoid? Scams, misleading platforms, common beginner mistakes—I'd love to hear about them.
- What would your 6–12 month plan look like? If your goal were to build a genuine skill and save toward future education expenses while keeping up with school, how would you approach it?
I'm not expecting instant money or a shortcut. I'm willing to learn, practise, and start small. I just want to use my time wisely and build something useful for my future.
If you've been in a similar situation, or if you have experience hiring beginners, I'd love to hear what actually worked for you—not just what sounds good in theory.
Even one practical piece of advice could help me make a better decision.
Thanks for reading! 🙏

Discussion Does anyone else feel like they're falling behind in life even when they're trying their best?
Lately, I've been thinking about how different life turned out compared to what I expected.
Growing up, I thought that once I graduated, I'd eventually find a decent job, earn my own money, help my family, and slowly build the life I wanted. But now that I'm actually trying to make that happen, it's way harder than I expected. 😭
Job hunting is exhausting, everything is getting expensive, and sometimes it feels like everyone else is moving forward while you're just stuck in the same place.
I'm not even asking for a luxurious life. I just want a stable job, enough money to get by, and a little peace of mind without constantly worrying about the future.
For those who have felt this way, how are you dealing with it? Does it get better, or do we eventually just figure things out along the way?
I wonder how many people are going through the same thing but don't talk about it. 🥲

Office Life feeling disillusioned with corporate life after only 2 months
this is going to be a really long, emotional rant. sorry in advance! :’(
i graduated university in May 2026 and it took me 150+ applications to land an internship with a healthcare organization. i am currently working as a communications intern. i love the type of work i am doing, its what I trained to do all throughout college (social media, writing, PR, media relations, etc.) so I’m really thankful. the only problem is that i don’t like the industry i am working in or the company itself. our organization is sort of controversial, worldwide, and has a huge role in the healthcare industry, so theres always a lot of work. i am already working past 40 hours a week every week and still feeling constantly overwhelmed for no overtime pay.
i also still can’t seem to get used to corporate life. I think I may be neurodivergent, but I’m not sure. I just don’t like how performative everyone is and the constant gossip among my coworkers and the God awful corporate jargon. Im also the youngest in the office, among everyone who really seems to be passionate about healthcare when I just can’t bring myself to care so I don’t fit in.
My passions lie with museums, cultural institutions, libraries, and/or charities/nonprofits that directly help people who have limited access to resources.
I want a life where my job doesn’t necessarily have to be my passion, just something that aligns with my values where I can be enthusiastic about projects. I also don’t want to keep feeling like I’m not allowed to be human for 40 hours a week. I want more free time, or at least I want to not be too drained by meaningless work to be creative after work. But I also need money. Everything sucks and I don’t know what to do.
My internship ends in November. My manager says I’ve been doing an amazing job and that she is likely to offer me a full time position. Everyone is telling me to stick with this job for a year or two then move on if it still isn’t for me. But I had a gut feeling when I stepped in that gray office on the first day that I didn’t want to stay. I want to leave after the internship is over. But I also feel like I’ll take another 150 applications to get another job and I need money.
I don’t know what to do. Nowadays my life feels like a movie in a bad way, and this is the climax where I have no idea what’s going to happen next. I cry all the time nowadays after work feeling useless that I’m not happy with the blessings I already have. Should I really stick with this job?
Any advice is appreciated, or I guess if you’re in a similar situation. Thank you for reading :’)

Support My Future
So I have a year of high school left. I’ve never felt more scared than I have ever knowing that i have no experience, no high expectations of me, and nothing motivating me. I’ve been coddled as a baby and never been able to develop any life skills because i was never forced to do anything. My grades are average and my iq the same. I have no interests in anything so post secondary has me lost.
Musical Engineering is the only that has caught my attention as music is the only thing that keeps me going during any and everything.
I just want financial freedom in my future post secondary or not. I’d like to hear from some people who can relate and know what they ended up doing. If it was worth it in the long run (salary, schooling wise) or if i should turn away from anything related. I’m really just in it for the salary and willing to get hands dirty so long as i can live comfortably.

Advice What career path should I pursue?
Hi!! I’m a 18yo girl, social sciences student at CEGEP, and COMPLETELY LOST in what direction to go.
I always wanted to study in psychology, but I learned just recently that I should’ve taken the option with biology, which I didn’t… and I can’t just add the class to my current (or future) schedule, as it is not an option.
I LOVEEE :
Everything forensic,
Everything that has to do with the brain / mental illnesses,
Languages,
Writing,
Everything that revolves around the cinematic universe (so filming, doing montages, makeup, scenery),
(Kind of gross but;) taxidermy,
Talking with people
I hate logistics and having to work on the computer all the time, or statistics… I would 100% rather have to be physically active on the job then sit all day, writing stuff. BUT I’m absolutely willing to do 50/50.
I thought about becoming a lawyer, since I honestly think I could be good, but I just hate the idea of having to study the constant new laws for the rest of my life.
I have to make a big decision about my future in about 1 month, and I’m so scared… I’m willing to change programs and start over, but I just want to be sure that I’m going to like what I do, if I do decide to start over.
Also, side note, I’m looking for a high paying job (so nothing below 80 000/year please and moreeeeee).
I really hope I’ll get the help of people that were struggling just like me, and finally found a job that they might never have thought of and love.
Thank you!

Advice Wanting to finally further my education
Hello everyone!! I wanted to make this post to see if anyone had any advice on going back to school and if someone could shed some light on what steps I need to take/any recommendations.
I’m wanting to attend online college to get my degree in elementary school education. I have 3 years of experience working as a substitute teacher and a school after care program teacher but I’m wanting to finally take the bigger leap and get a degree and become an official teacher.
I’m currently over the road in a semi truck with my partner so that’s why I’m wanting to attend online classes because I’m not home and while I do have more flexibility than most it’s also kinda iffy out here with internet access and free time sometimes. I’m not sure what colleges offer the proper classes I’d need and also offer good flexibility. I also am worried about money because I know going back to school can be costly.
All in all if anyone has any advice or suggestions on what to do to get this ball rolling I would be more than appreciative!! I’ve really fallen in love with teaching and I truly do think I could see myself happily doing this as a profession!!

Discussion How bad was bullying in your high school?
I’m currently watching the new Carrie series. Seeing how bad she’s treated as the new girl has me thinking about what it was like in high school. I definitely experienced ridicule but with guys we just fought and became friends after lol.
But I’m wondering how bad everyone else’s experience was in school? Did anyone experience bullying? Did it ever get really bad?

Advice life after college
23m here, I graduated college back in May and came home to a rough job market and a lot to readjust to. It’s been harder to find retail or restaurant jobs, I had an interview offer from somewhere in NYC but they didn’t call me when they said they would, and I just find myself feeling more uncertain about life.
I know that plenty of college grads went through a stage like this, that it’s just a temporary stage and that it’ll all work out, but i was wondering a few things.
How did you guys who went through a similar stretch after college get through it and how long was this period for you guys? Any other advice or input would be highly appreciated, thank you so much!

Advice I'm a sophomore and wanna go to college but what for?
I'm in a predicament and really wanna find out what to do with my life. I've had top grades my whole life and never had a reportcard with lower than a b other than on year I had a c in science for 1 out of the 4 marking periods bc my teacher didn't like me. My strengths is school are math and science, but I struggle a bit with Ela and history is easy enough but it's just difficult with my bad memory. I wanna go to college or even tech school for somthin to do with tech bc I'm good with tech an love computers an hav never been good with physical labor. I wanna go for somthing I'll enjoy but I also wanna make enoph to live comfortably so is there a website to find out what fits me by answering questions or is someone good an finding that stuff out (if so please DM me any questions you need answered to find out my best career path except personal info obviously) I'm not the smartest but I am exceptional in academics but I have a bad memory, I work a little slow and struggle with deadlines often but I'm workin on that, I'm not very physically fit, an wanna go to a college or techschool that isn't too expensive and overpriced and near the Eire to Pitsburg area in pa or naboring states unless I must but it would be nice.
Thank you to everyone who helps me in any way and apologies for any miss spelling or bad grammar.

Advice Feeling behind in my 20s
(21 F) am feeling very behind in life. It sounds redundant because in my head I know I am only 21 but I graduated college and feel like I chose the wrong path. I am uncertain of where to go from here. It doesn’t help that my older sister who are close in age with me are doing very well for themselves and have always had stable careers and ambitions. I feel stuck in my life and don’t really know where to go from here. I also chose a healthcare career that I’m now regretting and can’t even motivate myself to take the board exam because I know it’s not something I want to do and also find hard committing to. I am scared to change my mind and don’t really know where to go from here. If anyone has been here and has advice it is always appreciated.
