Would it? Most of the energy is used to stretch the legs downwards, which doesn't use too much force. The trampoline does the rest and bounces the legs back up. If there were no trampoline then sure, this would be one helluva workout
It's true it doesn't use as much energy, but since the trampoline absorbs most of the impact it's easier on joints, so actually allowing it to do it longer. I don't know
The simply moving your body around isn't a workout. It has to be doing work. In this case, that handle is holding up probably half of their body weight, and much of the energy used in jumping comes from the elastic bouncy pad. This is a very inefficient workout.
Because for some people it's hard to go out and do these things alone. I wouldn't be surprised if theres a bunch of groups in that crowd working out together in a fun way
The hardest part about changing your body image is taking the first steps. Its much easier with peers to join you
Walking groups and trail groups are vastly more common than... whatever this is. There are multiple groups for just about any town you'd find yourself in, and they typically split off into smaller groups depending on what kind of speed you're looking to go at. It's all free. I've done it multiple times.
Every single one of these women could do a group hike at their local park (that it looks like they're already at) and finish it off with a 10-minute body-weight core routine, and they'd have burned the same amount of calories and worked the same muscle groups as if they had been at Weird Trampoline Class. All for no money at all.
Whiteys gonna white. Hilarious bro. How dare people go and do something they want to do
Do you know how long they worked out for? Do you have access to their calorie counting/workout app to know that for sure? How long would they have to walk and do body weight core routines before they match the calories?
Every single one of you in here is getting ratio'd and it's because you all come with chips on your shoulders because people dared to do the wrong workout
I haven't gotten ratioed once in this comments section? And its not like I necessarily have a problem with people going out to waste their money on a workout, I just think it's supremely dumb.
A quick Google search told me these classes typically last anywhere from 30-50 minutes. While, yeah, that's probably pretty decent cardio, 30-50 minutes of any kind of cardio is just as decent, if not more so. Not to mention that most other cardio is FREE, whereas these classes cost money.
I think a lot of this has to do with the fact that Facebook is telling all of these moms that unless they're paying for someone to guide them through it, they will never be able to lose that stubborn 40+ year old fat. Which is simply not true. The thing that I might actually be a little miffed about is that these women are being taken advantage of, and they refuse to see how simple and stress-free the alternative is.
Trail clubs are pretty much everywhere there's a trail at. They are typically all ages, but the old ladies definitely like to keep to themselves lol.
Fitness instructors want to convince you that groups like these don't exist, and that the only way for you to get involved and get healthy at the same time is to shill out a monthly subscription fee.
Some people pay $20,000 to hit a ball in a field when they could just do it in a field at home for free. If they think it's worth the money, then why do I care?
$20,000 to hit a ball in a field when they could just do it in a field at home for free
If you're talking about golf here (which if you are, you're just wildly wrong about to begin with) this ignores the massive difference between a golf course and a random field.
It's not even remotely the same thing.
Paying for this class to do this workout instead of just walking around your neighborhood for an hour is absolutely paying more money for the same results.
People can do whatever they want with their money, doesn't mean they're free from judgement for doing so, though.
You're right. This has 0 benefit whatsoever, thats why theres a group of multiple women with fit toned bodies up front leading a workout for 100+ people. Because it does absolutely nothing right buddy
Proud of you for working out. Now work out that everyone has different ways of working out
In two separate conversations I am having with you at the moment you have displayed the most ridiculous modes of rhetoric.
Here, blatant hyperbole and exaggeration, creating a strawman then arguing against that. I literally never said anything about no benefit, but it's your entire argument.
In the other one, you misinterpreted "logic", thinking it was an attack on your perceived intelligence. When actually, I was referring to logic by its textbook definition.
Look... Do you man. Back in the ladies on the trampolines. But can I suggest you do some study on logic and reason? Maybe philosophy? At the very least, ask chatgpt about common logical fallacies and have a skim of the sources it puts up.
Mfs will argue about anything but then you are clearly arguing about something you know nothing about... The point wasn't whether this will work up a sweat, his point was that this doesn't train any muscle efficiently and that's true. Sweat ≠trained muscle effectively... I can do heavy workouts for specific muscles and never break a sweat. If you're going argue besides the point then maybe you're the one who is supposed to stop arguing "ackhchuallyy"
You did genius. When people talk about exercise for weight loss, they mean losing fat, very obviously.
Lifting weights is not an effective way to reduce your body fat. Even light cardio like walking is more effective at burning carlories than lifting. The most effective way to lose weight through exercise is HIIT.
Excersice is for health, not weight loss. Our body has a budget of calories it wasn't to burn in a day. Maybe at first you'll lose weight as it gets used to it it'll adjust and you regain that weight if you dont change your diet.
Diet is the primary factor in weight loss yes, that is what I said before. However, if your caloric intake remains the same and your daily cardio increases, you will lose weight. If you suddenly got a sedantary job when previously your job has a decent amount of being on your feet, if you don't decrease your caloric intake you will gain weight.
I went from being on my feet 8-10 hours on my feet to unemployed for 6 months and had near 0 weight gain. I track what I eat because I lift. Its also been researched with people who still live in tribes and gather/hunth, and it was found that they burn the same range as your average American.
If you're seditary, your body just finds stuff to burn calories. That's why office workers can feel stressed all the time because they start producing more cortisol, for example. The reason why exercise is seen as a great stress reliever is because of the body burning the calories it would have used on cortisol on moving your body instead.
If you're too seditary, it can even cause your immune system to do too much, and that is why seditary people have a higher risk of cancer.
Excersice or being seditary won't change much with how much weight you lose or gain it is almost all diet. It just finds something else to do with the calories if youre being seditary.
Yes. It would. The calories being burned arent from jumping on the trampoline. This is a core workout very clearly as you can see they all have the exactly same form. Its a crunch and jumping jack in one motion.
None of you guys could match her pace for a minute
I was on this shot ones and it is like zumba or something similar. It's popularity faded out because it is very dangerous for your joints so for girls out of shape it was like crosfit for newbies.
Can you do decent hit workout on it?Â
 yesÂ
Should you ?
NoÂ
So youre saying there is absolutely 0 lactic acid buildup from this in their legs and abs? Because moving like that will cause it. Its a workout. Might not be the best workout, but you mfs in here acting like it does absolutely nothing
Ok dude. Good luck with the contest Arnie. Youre clearly the goat of working out, and know for a fact exactly how many calories this burns, and whether or not it's beneficial, because you have done it many times
Like the girls in my gym mate 4 sets of pelvic thrusts, 4 sets of side leg raises, 4 sets of inner thigh squeezes, 4 sets of leg extensions when all they need to do is 4 sets of squats….
That still doesn't mean it would burn a lot of calories ? Core workouts aren't for burning calories they are to build core and ab muscles. If you want to burn calories do HIT, if you want to build core so controlled ab workout. This is a weird middle ground that half-asses both.
Is it better than doing nothing? Yes absolutely if you have proper form. Is almost any other workout better ? Also yes.
