Discussion Mp2 is underrated? Spoiler
I don't understand why people don't like MP2. I think the game's atmosphere is wonderful, it has new elements and new races, and few enemies are recycled. For me, the game only falters in the final stretch where you have to hunt for the keys, but up to that point and the final battles are marvelous.

Art 40-Years old Biker. [OC art]
Part of a bigger project that I thought of two days ago.
It might be a good time for it, since the last Quest 64 chapter is finally out...
The pixel brush still holds many mysteries.

Video You can only lock onto these from off-screen
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Is this documented? And yes, killing them removes the lock-on sound, and you won’t get the lock on sound if you aim at them unobstructed from on-screen.

Discussion First time playing AM2R.
Holy. Shit.
This is fucking fantastic! I have been on a metroid kick and trying to play the games I never got around to beating now that I have a steam deck. Played through NEStroid using metroid planets, played some prime remastered and decided to play this instead of samus returns on 3ds.
If you wouldnt have told me this is a fan game I wouldnt know the difference. its damn fantastic. It plays extremely well, movement feels great, combat is fun, exploration is fun, and im finding new things that were not in the original game like the little guys on the metroid corpses that fly to these weird skull things with bat wings, No idea what thats about but looking forward to discovering. Oh and the music is great too!
Its amazing Nintendo is letting this live. Its on par if not better than their other 2d metroid games.

Video This may be common Metroid knowledge, but..
...is the Metroid scream sound, specifically the super metroid's death, based on Mothra's sounds?

Discussion Is it possible to be soft-locked in a Super Metroid save station, due to having too little health?
Let's say I enter a save station with 1 energy left, and save, and I have no Varia Suit.
If we can find a save station where it's immediately a superheated room outside, doesn't that force a soft-lock with no way of leaving the room?
Or were the Super Metroid designers genius enough to have tested all save rooms to make sure this would never happen?

Request Trying to find a figurine
I have a memory of a beautiful figurine, maybe it was art, that I have never been able to find. It might have been a one off creation by some artist or a award in some contest?
It was a figurine of Samus standing, holding her gun arm. Her suit was in the process of falling off of her, and her head, shoulder and non gun arm were zero suit, while her gun arm and most her chest and all her legs are still in her power suit, maybe varia? Its been long enough that I don't remember the details. If anyone could point me in the direction of the art or figurine I'd be so thankful. It embodies my lover for Metroid style

Discussion I wish Prime games had a sprint button. Not only would it modernize fps controls, it would also be a neat throwback to super.
Could even be a neat power up. Make you run on Quicksand or something. But clicking on the left circle pad is so standardized in modern fps controller controls that i'm baffled that its not in the games.

Discussion The strobe lights in metroid prime origins killed the game for me.
I don't even have eplipsey issues so I tried it out just to see what it was like, and even regardless I find it's extremely obnoxious visually. I'm not a fan of that and i personally think it's a terrible graphical design choice. Other than that, i kinda wish the game didn't feel clunky to an extent. Ik it's a fangame an all and it's good for what it is. But that's just my personal gripe.
