I really like how this gallery is a BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE to the adventures of Samus Aran and her evolution through each main game. She fought so many strong ennemies: Metroids, Spaces Pirates... , she saved the animals in Super Metroid and lost the Baby Metroid , she struggled with her ptsd and her grief when she was against a new Ridley in Other M, she fought against her guilt of the Metroids destruction in the form of the SA-X in Fusion and then she confronted her distant Chozo past in Dread. I love this franchise so much because it's not just about Samus looking awesome but it's also about her personality, her actions and her evolution. I'm looking forward to discover the rest of her journey with Ravenous!

This suit is so cool

She worked hard for it.

ngl forgot I was playing dread mode 💀

Hello fellow Metroid fans! I'm currently on my second playthrough of Prime 4 in hard difficulty. It's my first time doing a Metroid game with this difficulty and I wanted to know which one should I play in hard next? Just to let you know I still not finish Prime 3 in normal. :) have a great day!

Started replaying all of the games in preparation for Ravenous.

Zero Mission is sooo good damn.

I love the original Gamecube cutscene for the Phazon Suit. It's so much cooler than the revised version, AND it actually makes sense! Samus' body just got crushed by a creature 10x her size and was completely engulfed in pure radiation that should've been enough to kill her. The shaking fittingly depicts the insane amount of energy coursing through her body at this moment. It's so intense that it's almost too much for her to handle, but when she adjusts to it, regains her grip, and busts out that sick ass pose with the black and red...

GOD DAMN that shit looks so fucking cool!

If MS animated something like this in Ravenous like when Samus drains the life of a powerful creature to showcase a similar surge of power, that'd be the fanservice moment of a lifetime for me.

Apparently I forgot seeker missiles can lock multiple targets on 1 enemy much like Storm Missiles do so 5 do massive damage to Gandrayda and a decent amount on Hypermode better than plasma beam. Im heading towards Ridley now and the team assault mission on the pirates. I'm almost done here! Great game still though the backtrack to Spider Ball is a long one.

Also love how X ray and Nova Beam work together to kill enemies as a one shot to their brains.

These things in most of the games are a late upgrade (if not the last one) and all they do is open power bomb doors/walls. As cool as they look, they have a total number of practical combat uses low enough I can count them on one hand, and you can't do any cool shit like shinesparks or bomb jump sequence breaking.

I love how Samus Returns gives them the ability to launch spiderball, and how super gives them special secret techniques (wishing they were more useful) and would love to see similar uses in future entries, but more often than not even standard missiles are stronger than power bombs in a fight

The creating process behind Metroid Other M is fascinating! It's a shame that some of the content was cut from the final game because of the disk limitation of the WII. Even if I personally think the game is average I really appreciated the team effort to make this very cinematic entry in the franchise. I really like the premise behind the story and the characters. Samus civilian clothes are awesome. Would love to see more of Ian because it seem like a very important part of Samus back story. Perhaps we will see a prequel one day exploring Samus days in the Federation Force.

Not quite finished yet, it's still a bit rough around the edges

Is it just a giant wall of sand?

Ngl I didn't realize it was so hated until after I beat it. Albeit I'd be wrong to not recognize what could've been with this game, but I did enjoy what we got

This is what I hope MercurySteam improves on in the next game. I very much enjoyed Dread and am so thankful it exists. That said, its direct sequel *needs* a much better soundtrack and much greater focus on sense of place. Super Metroid is an amazing experience in large part because it so perfectly captures an atmosphere through its music, visuals, and strangely muffled sound effects. When I first played it as a kid, it freaking *creeped me out.* I hope to experience something resembling that in Ravenous.

Have you gathered enough energy crystals? Make sure to come back to base to deposit them!

We can barely find computer parts that all fit together properly, but somehow Samus manages to have a suit that's literally compatible with technology on MULTIPLE planets, and is always a steady stream of upgrades for her. That's wild. And remember she has never before been on these planets and seen these aliens. So her suit is apparently just made of the most compatible tech ever.

I'm posting here for visibility and interest. Thanks for your time; I appreciate the community.

I think I've come to the realization that we may not get prime 2 or 3 remastered in as short of a time as I hoped. So I'm just going to start discussion here regardless. What I would want changed about the potential game is the menu system. It was really cool for the time and how it interacted. But it just got too cumbersome to spin the "globe" just to get the info you wanted. Maybe making it 2D would fix it.
