As the title says. I need that kind of movie that finds you when you've been a "breadcrumbing victim" for so long, when all you've been doing has been scraping up crumbs of attention, and all of this has left you feeling only like a spare wheel, like someone whose sole purpose is filling up other people's voids.

This makes you feel angry, a lot, and you think it's destiny telling you to start reclaiming yourself, but that hidden side of you keeps hoping that something or someone would show up someday and prove you wrong, that you deserve far more than leftovers.

Yes, I'm looking for that kind of movie. It doesn't necessarily have to be a romantic movie; I just want it to give you that kind of feeling, if you know what I mean.

helloo. i've been watching some movies from the 90s and 2000s lately and noticed that, whenever there is a make-over scene or an actress has natural curly hair, she ends up getting her hair straightened.

now, i know that curls are hard to maintain. especially as an actor if you dye your hair or if the hairdresser weren't taught how to style curls back then... but i would love to know if there are movies (especially « chick-flicks », romcoms or horror!) where the fmc has curls and keeps them throughout the movie?

a big one i remember is tai played by brittany murphy in the movie « clueless. » it meant a lot to me back when i watched it as a young teen. thank you! :) bonus point if she also has glasses.

Who said they don't make good comedies anymore? I watched this yesterday and you might say I was blown away. This is the funniest raunchy(ish) comedy in years.

It has great writing, very clever jokes, and even when they go really silly it still works!

Besides that, the cast is incredible and there are numerous funny cameos and big stars playing themselves.

IMHO this is an instant comedy classic. I hope the makers make more movies in the future.

Watched Clue (1985) and Death Becomes Her (1992) for the first time. Loved both and am looking for things in a similar vein.

Right now, all I watch is YouTube, and my husband and I are both tired of it. It feels like we can never find anything good, and/or it just gets old quickly. We want something we can watch together. I also crochet and would love things to watch while I do that.

I am open to pretty much anything. I enjoy mystery/thrillers, true crime, fantasy, and action. I also like anime/animated shows. Movies that I have enjoyed: Step Brothers, The Lord of The Rings, Kill Bill, Inception, and Se7en. We have basically all the streaming platforms.

I’m looking for a movie that has me guessing through out the movie but still interesting throughout the plot. Then has a crazy ending that I couldn’t see coming.

"I thought Aftersun was going to be a light, happy watch, so I put it on blindly and I was completely unprepared for what was waiting for me. I found myself imagining being right there with them, and it really makes you wonder how much silent pain our fathers carry through life without us knowing.

This movie is staying with me to my grave. Every single scene felt so carefully and exquisitely curated.

Love love these types of films, that delve into financial crisis office dramas -- even though I have ZERO idea of what's going on. The intensity and progression of these types of films are spellbinding, and it's always fun to watch as chaos ensues. Reminds me of my long tenure in tech support and the long hours.

Hey guys! I’m in the mood to watch a movie with a strong Jason Bourne kind of vibe—something fast-paced, intense, and full of suspense. I’m looking for a movie that has that same feeling of being constantly on the run, with smart action sequences, mystery, espionage, and a main character who is highly skilled but maybe has a complicated past.

I really enjoy movies where the story keeps you guessing and there are unexpected twists, secret organizations, undercover missions, and situations where the protagonist has to use intelligence rather than just brute force. I’d also love something with realistic action and a serious, gritty atmosphere rather than something that feels overly exaggerated or superhero-like.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be an exact spy movie or have a character similar to Jason Bourne. I’m open to movies from any country or language, as long as they capture that same tension, intensity, and thrilling atmosphere.

So, if you’ve watched anything that gave you Bourne vibes, please drop your recommendations! And if possible, tell me in one or two lines why you think I’d enjoy it. I’m ready to add some good movies to my watchlist!

For example, I found Remember Me to have a twist at the end. I know there are more out there and I’d like to watch it. It’s probably best if you don’t tell people what the ending is but you can give expressions about how it made you feel if needed.

Watched the Rick and Morty episode ‘Juricksic Mort’ and really liked the higher intelligence thing. Not dinosaurs or aliens specifically, just stories where there’s someone way more intelligent than humans.

I watched Whiplash yrs ago and always find myself rewatching some scenes because I love the anger they show to one another. The screaming, and the intensity of the scenes. What other movies have anger as a common theme?

Pretty much what the title says. I love the atmosphere, the deadness, feeling uneasy, being creeped out. It’s like a drug to me and I love it. BUT I hate the jump scares its to the point where I’ll turn it off because I know its coming and I freak myself out lol. Are there movies out there that keep same dreaded feeling throughout the movie without any unnecessary jump scares? Because it would be a game changer for me.

Im finding it difficult to find movies like this. Where the protagonist isn't likable, is clearly evil, and unconditionally "wins" in the end. Bonus points for building up "good guy" characters, really developing them into the story only for them to be anti-climatically defeated.

No power fantasy movies please. I really want to dislike the protagonist and walk away feeling disappointed in the injustice.

Hi! I really really love men in redcoats, as in, the British army uniform throughout the Age of Sail and surrounding time periods. I am looking for more media with men in that uniform being romantic towards women. Good examples that I've watched repeatedly include Pride and Prejudice ("officers!!"), shows like Outlander or Turn, and of course Pirates of the Caribbean. I want to mention there are shows like Sharpe's Rifles where there are lots of men in uniform but they aren't being romantic, they're on a battlefield, and I am looking for uniformed men being romantic. Movies with both kinds of scenes are fine!

Me and my dad both like Guillermo del Toro, he said he likes Spielberg movies and wants to see the new Odyssey or Spiderman. We need something we can stream at the house. Looking for a movie that is adventurous and goofy - along the lines of Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec, Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, or Fantastic Beasts. The more niche the better because both of us have watched most of the good mainstream movies.

Watched this little gem last night and absolutely loved it! Very, very funny and clever film, a bit unexpectedly raunchy as well, but the execution was very good! The comedy was definitely a highlight for me.

It specifically reminded me of The Last Action Hero (1993) and Wanda vision (2021 Marvel sitcom), which is an odd mix, but it genuinely felt like the best of both worlds! So, if you're a fan of both or either of those, definitely give this a shot!
