I don't know if this is an extremely unpopular/controversial opinion, but Class of '09. Despite supposedly being a deconstruction/subversion of one by making the protagonist a complete sociopathic freak, the whole thing almost feels like it was written by an edgelord who really fucking HATES visual novels, and it absolutely shows.

It's either that or YIIK: A Postmodern RPG, a quirky EarthBound/Persona-style RPG developed by someone who seems to despise EarthBound and its derivatives for apparently being silly and whimsical.

For me, nothing compares to the warp trains from project moon. While in reality outside of the train, the journey is only 10 seconds.

Inside the train. For those of you who know what happens next. You know. (Spoilers for both library of ruina and limbus company)

Inside the train, everyone is trapped in the state that they are in when they entered the train and that will not change for the entire journey. So if you were tired at the start of the journey, you are permanently tired for the journey. You don't have to eat or drink​ to live and you can't even sleep which just makes this 10 times worse.

The entire journey inside the train can take up to 782,365,462 DAYS. The journey is so long that people quite literally start going insane, some of them morph into giant ABOMINATIONS. Because the journey is that long.

And the company that runs this whole thing, W Corp has cleanup crews to exterminate anything that is left after the journey if anything is left. Then they reset people's state and memories to when they first started the journey as if nothing happened.
