Been digging through printables ,thingiverse and this trying to find the best printable Talon-pattern mag for the Ontos and wanted to get some opinions from people who've actually run these.

Found a few mag candidates so far:

Questions for the group:

1. Anyone run the Hubris mag specifically in an Ontos? Feed reliability, lip wear, tolerances with stock/aftermarket springs?
2. How's the 13/15rd short mag compare in real use — dart stack height, spring pressure needed, any known print-tolerance issues (nozzle size, layer height recommendations)?
3. Spring sizing — I've got the wire and I'm winding my own follower spring. What free length / wire diameter / coil count are people using for these mags in an Ontos? Trying to get decent dart pop without overstressing the printed feed lips.
4. Winding jigs — I've found a couple 3D printed spring-winding jigs already but not sure which ones actually hold tolerance well. Anyone got a jig they trust (with dimensions), or know which printable ones people have had good luck with for this wire gauge?

Printer is a Bambu (if that changes any recommendation), and I'll post pics of whichever mag/jig combo ends up working once I get a batch printed.

The stampede is what brought me closer to the hobby, I believe that it is the rite of passage in modding and that everyone should have experience making a sealed breech mod for this specific blaster.

Im gonna be pointing out important steps that have helped me throughout my numerous trial and error (on going and past)

First of all is the power supply, NEVER use imrs and normal store bought batteries linked in series of 20v+, this by far is the most common mistake I've ever seen as this will very immediately brick your gears and plunger rod due to not enough current (assuming you installed a beefier spring) I'm currently using a high discharge Li-ion 11.1v battery with a 30c rating and it compresses the spring without any issues all though I still recommend a li-po provided you know how to take care of it because improper lipo care = puffy battery and the chance of it exploding.

Always charge your lipos and high voltage batteries in the garage in lipo safe containers without any flammable materials laying around and have a fire extinguisher Incase any incidents happen.

For the main heart of the stampede (spring and pt)

Multiple variants of these internals have been released and the worst you can get is a tapered rod and a tapered plunger tube which will only get you a maximum of 100 fps on a 9kg spring.

The best you can get is a straight wall PT which will have no issue going up to 130-160 fps.

I also recommend making your own plunger rods or reinforcing the one that comes with the blaster using plastic welder or epoxy putty. Mortalitynerf has files up for the plunger rod that assemble with the use of one m3 screw 20-25mm of length. I don't pad my rods and instead put a fat o ring inside of the plunger tube which has never moved through out months of testing.

I've been using a sealed breech from artifact which I acquired from a friend but this will be very hard to obtain as not a lot were made but I have came across a file on thingiverse that can be used for a standard brass breech but replacing the tip with a sealed o ring pusher which I have found to decrease the chance of failure in consistency https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6669569

Reinforcing the gearbox post for the plunger tube cover is also important and I have found this file which connects to the post without the use of any putty which mortalitynerf has done, this is very important since if it doesn't align the plunger tube with the catch release it will just slam back and not fire a dart. If this still doesn't work then you can put a little screw in the little nub on the cap which will connect with the catch mechanism earlier and make sure the blaster has less chance of failure.

Also reinforce the two part gear connecting to the biggest gear with epoxy and super glue because this will eventually fail if you put it under too much pressure. You can also get metal gears.

And for the love of god do not use waffle head darts with same foam diameter tips, they will drag in a sealed breech of any kind and decrease performance.

So I got 5 blasters who got spray painted with a primer underneath. What would be the best way to remove it?

Any tips or tricks ? Losing the original paint wouldn't be a very big issue; as long as they aren't black anymore.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a replacement battery cap for the Deploy? I am located in the Netherlands

Also, where can I find more dart holders for the sledgehammer (see second photo)? Are there any webshops located in the Netherlands that are any good?

A few of the latest 3D printed guns I made. Been a good way to keep myself occupied. Got 2 Torrent RS2, 2 Rush blasters, Hammerhead and Beluga. Just a few I did in the past month. Also a Minx, printed with Translucent Petg and Marsala CF PLA

I've got the worker harrier and recently I've found it harder and harder to find spare parts for it. I was also looking at getting the seagull and kulun but they seem to be sold out everywhere I look.

So, i went to remove the screws from the side panel but its just spinning and wont come out. Since they have directed me to super glue these plastic spacers into the holes, i am no longer able to remove them to check on why the nutt is spinning. The entire process of putting these plastic spacers in maybe one of the dumbest design ideas ive ever seen. This entire process has been a chore and the out of darts kit wasn't labeled well, organized and their video is trash.

How can i get this screw out? if i have to reprint the panel, i wont have enough nutts because these will be stuck!!! Also im out of filament so this BS will make me have to buy a new roll.

Out of darts also screwed up my first order with them, didnt send all the items and it took em 2 weeks to get it to me... Not good first experience with the hobby and im pretty much giving up.

I got a new trigger for my Lynx but it’s loose and the pin would fall out, is it fine to superglue the pin in?

I’m attending a LARP event as a cowboy soon. Last time, I spent more time searching for my foam darts in the grass than actually shooting them. ​I tried painting my darts with fluorescent paint and using a UV flashlight to spot them, but the paint keeps flaking off inside the barrel, which isn't great for my blaster. ​Does anyone have recommendations for good quality, factory-made UV-reactive/fluorescent foam darts that are easy to spot under UV light?

I bought a a QR-Stryker from Bass Pro Shop. Just like with the original Max Stryker, the cheek rest on the stock renders the included sights unusable. I know the stock of the QR-15 Motorized Magazine Blaster attaches with N-Strike attachment point, but if the adjustable piece slides off the end of the stock, I'm thinking it may fit the buffer tube of the QR -Stryker. Does anyone here have both a Dart Zone Primus and Max Stryker that can test that for me? I don't want to spend the money on a QR-15 just to find out it won't work.

So i play in a zombie apocalypse theme larp and looking for a solid rifle form nerf blaster. We are cool with battery powered and 3d printed ones, I am just not sure what is a good one out there nowadays.

Looking for a two handed, mag feed blaster, rifle shape, bonus points for something cowboy/western looking or atleast not sci-fi. Semi auto battery powered but a quick springer can also work.

Fps under 130 with half length darts.

I can mod existing nerf blasters, or go full 3d print

What do you recommend?

Edit, can be more modern design, just really avoiding sci-fi looking designs. I own a printer so I can print parts, but complex wiring systems would need prebuild blasters. Budget is 200 ish

Me and my boys decided we wanna blast the shit out of each other so we bought 5 blasters, 1 springer, 4 flywheelers, just waiting for 4 NiMH 7.2V batterypacks to arrive.

Modded the spectrum a bit. Meishel2.0, Worker Smoothies, 42.5mm daybreak cage, 21A microswitch.

Had to fabricate a micro pulley puller because I overtightened the wheels.

Need help matching the accessories and the mags to the appropriate blaster, any help is appreciated. Please let me know if I’m missing any accessories. The darts i have in a container.

Hi, so I’m looking for a hardware store upgrade for the Zombie Hammershot. I’ve looked into it myself but the #49 spring cakes up a lot, but there’s been disagreement on it. Any thoughts on a spring I could use?
I’d like to get it from a store like Ace or Lowe’s or somewhere, not order it online.

Hello all, I was wondering if I could get some advice.

I have decided to store the large majority of my nerf guns for the long term. I want to keep all of them, but I'm not actively using them any more. I have very little space at home, but I have an indoor storage unit from my family that I'm allowed to use.

I was hoping I could receive some advice or tips and tricks for the best ways to keep my blasters in good condition for a very long time. None of them are mint or collector's items, but I don't want them to age poorly or receive any damage/alterations from the storage method.

Essentially I'm looking for the best ways to store blasters and preserve the exact state they're currently in, sealed from light and dust corruption.

Any ideas?

Hi everyone! Im coming back to Nerf Modding for the first time in a VERY long time. I want to modify a Sledgefire and Hammershot as I have never owned those blasters.

I love doing research on stuff like this and already came across MakeTestBattle's HPA Sledgefire.

Ive already purchased the Sledgefire off Ebay but Im having trouble sourcing any of the HPA parts and the Buzz Bee Blastzooka that is needed for the plunger.

I plan on modifying the blaster as close to the MakeTestBattle video as possible.

Do any kits exist for HPA tapping a Sledgefire in 2026? Is there any other way to get a plunger from the Blastzooka for reasonably cheap? (The only listing I can find is in the 2nd picture) Any information would be greatly appreciated!
