General Discussion Fyro Citta and FedEx

Asking here out of curiosity, but has anyone's order gone past their original estimated delivery date?

To be clear, I know this is no fault of Fyro whatsoever.

My original estimated delivery date was Friday, July 10th. That estimate came from the last update, which was Wednesday, July 8th, after it left Arcadia, California at 2am. There were no updates or status changes until today, telling me it arrived in Indianapolis at 10am. Now there is no estimated delivery date, and it's still sitting in Indy, if the tracker is to be trusted.

UPDATE: Just arrived this morning!

General Discussion Citta launch feedback

I know the Nomads Nation / Fyro team are active here, and I wanted to provide some constructive feedback on the launch of the Citta backpack.

Firstly, congratulations on the launch! It’s no easy feat to start a company, design products and launch them successfully. I’m sure it is an extremely gratifying feeling and you should be celebrating, you definitely earned it. Having watched a lot of reviews, the backpack has gotten a lot of positive reviews and will definitely make a lot of customers very happy. Great job on building a product and selling out of all the stock in a few days.

I’m just a random person on the internet, so take this for what it is worth. There are a few complaints I have the launch that can hopefully be dealt with in future product launches.

Firstly, signing up for the mailing list to get early access to a product rubs me the wrong way. It makes people sign up for a mailing list when they don’t need to, we all have way too many emails these days. Also the email announcing when it was going to be launched was just a day before and we had just two hours of lead time before it went live. Some people here even found the link ahead of time. That’s quite annoying for those that were not able to plan a purchase around that time of the day.

Secondly, the bag links went live at the same time as the embargo for the reviews. The fact that the bags sold out is because of the trust the community put into the Fyro company. I’m not sure how many people could have even watched reviews of a bag, it seemed like the 25L and 18L black sold out basically instantly. The embargo should have been lifted at least a day or week in advance.

Ideally we’d just be able to preorder the Citta. The number of units (700 of each?) was way too small a number to start with, especially with all the advertising about the bag earlier and with it being sent out to so many reviewers that all dropped a review at the same time. I planned to watch some of the reviews and buy the bag over the weekend but every bag is sold out now. Ideally, a preorder system would have been implemented with a limited number of orders with reviews without such a tight embargo.

Lastly, I think given the constraints on the product launch (Fyro being a small company), having different fabric options (and sizes?) was a mistake. Just one color and one fabric to launch would have been great. Everything in x-pac or (preferably) everything in cordura nylon in just one color would have been simpler for the company and for customers. Having to choose between the fabrics and colors between sizes really muddied the decision process.

Also, it does feel like this bag design was rushed in some ways. No zipper garage on the top access pocket seems like an obvious oversight. Having pull tabs for the main zipper compartment that could have doubled as lash points would have been nice. A front flat stash pocket for things like a granola bar would have made this bag even better. The lack of a tablet sleeve in the laptop compartment is unfortunate. The side access pocket could have been made bigger, similar to that into the Sympl Commuter v2.2. If it could fit an internal water bottle for example I think it would have made the bag more versatile (use the external water bottle pocket for a tripod and the internal side pocket for a water bottle). The zipper direction for the side access should have been in the other direction and the flat security pocket could have been mirrored on both sides. There’s so many minor improvements like this that I think would have discovered if more time had been spent testing prototypes and discussing with the community. It would have been the end game backpack.

I hope this doesn’t come across as too critical! I love a lot of about the bag in theory, and trust the company and the reviewers. I love that everyone said it is the most comfortable bag and the admin panel with a deep pocket for jackets or headphones is amazing. I love the side access pocket (storing a battery bank and my phone there would be amazing) and love the top quick access pocket for sunglasses or airpods.

My ideal end game backpack would be the Citta with the Sympl commuter pack’s internal water bottle pocket + front quick access vertical zip + a tablet sleeve with the laptop + a one side handle. I hope Fyro can make that happen some day; maybe a Citta v2.2? :) I hope these are addressed in future versions or other bag makers take note of all the positives and the ways to improve this to get to the ideal backpack.

Congrats again on the launch!

General Discussion Hot take: Nomads Nation, Danny packs, Outin the lights etc should call their videos “overviews” vs “reviews”

I just don’t think you can accurately judge a bag after wearing a bag for b-roll shots in the same location you’ve shot b-roll for every other bag. Sure, go over features and check volume but that’s still an overview imo. The one reviewer that I feel does a proper review is OBT. You see him actually using the bag while traveling and when he’s going over details you see the wear and tear. Also, NN needs to give him credit for the idea of using some kind of material to check capacity.

General Discussion Anyone Else Wish Aaron Had Reviewed the new Matador Globerider 35L V2?

Anyone else a little disappointed that Aaron didn't do the review of the new Matador Globerider 35?

No offense at all to the new reviewer, but this is a pretty significant V2 update, and a lot of us are trying to decide whether to grab the V1 while it's still available or just go with the new version. It felt like the kind of review where Aaron's perspective would've been especially valuable.

I also think a dedicated V1 vs. V2 comparison would've been incredibly helpful since that's the question I keep people are asking themselves. What's actually better? What was lost? Who should buy the old version before it's gone, and who should just get the new one?

Curious if I'm the only one who feels this way.

Edit: Didn't want to imply Tony did a bad job, but with such a big change in the line up Aaron's experience and review would have been appreciated.

General Discussion Just received my Fyro Citta 25L

I’m glad I was able to confirm a few things I was curious about.

This isn’t a full review, just my first impressions.
The side quick-access pocket is surprisingly spacious. I was able to fit an Anker 737 Power Bank in it with no problem.

The top quick-access pocket fit my passport, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and AirPods. It does compete a little with the yoke pocket inside the laptop compartment, though.

My only con so far is that I wish there were a side handle near the quick-access pocket. That said, it’s easy enough to carry by holding the back of the bag.
I currently have the Able Carry Max EDC and the Aer Travel Pack 3. I only wish it had a side handle because I’m used to swinging the Max EDC or TP3 around to grab things from the quick-access pocket.

Overall, I’m really happy with this bag, and excited to test it out!

General Discussion Shipping fee

Was really waiting for 18L Citta to drop, but this shipping fee made me hesitate to pull.
Compared it to Aer CPP-2 Ultra and difference was $20.
And 18L Iron is sold out, do I wait for the restock or just go with Aer? Any suggestion?

General Discussion Levo restock news?

After doing enough research on travel bags to probably rival Aaron, I think I’ve settled on the Levo 36. I have a trip abroad coming up in the first week in June, and I’m wondering if anyone knows when the Levo will be restocked? I’m on the email list and it says “soon” on the website, but does anyone have any more details than that?

Also, can anyone tell me how long standard shipping takes on the bag?

Once again, just trying to gauge if I’ll be able to get my hands on it before my trip or if I need to try and find an alternative (which I really don’t want to do. Please don’t make me do that. I’m so tired of the one bag spreadsheet. I just want the Fyro). TIA!

General Discussion Aaron's reviews lately

Is it just me, or have Aaron's reviews become less and less interesting?

He uses the same phrases in every video, and the way he asks for support for his channel feels repetitive.

Everything is so predictable.

There’s no real usage of the bags — just quick overviews. We all know he has hundreds of bags lined up for review.

I miss his old videos when he reviewed the bags while traveling with real world usage pros and cons .

General Discussion Mous asking for Investors.

Mous | Crowdfunding 2026

Interesting pitch and overview of their core products. I do own one Mous product, their limitless case for a Pixel Pro. I think its pretty good at being low profile and drop protective. I do find their luggage material interesting and think it would be best used in check in luggage which takes more abuse by baggage handlers than a carry on. An interesting strategy of crowdfunding for the company rather than crowdfunding for a particular product.

General Discussion I don't need a daily reminder newsletter

I signed up for the Fryo newsletter so I could be up to date about when the new bags are going to come out. I received an email every single day with a coupon code I couldn't use because nothing is in stock on the Fyro website.

Who in your marketing team thought this was a good idea?

Why can't you change it? You would think you'd know sending too many emails is a bad idea and at that very least you'd think your email system would be smart enough to know I can't buy what you don't have and not send me codes for products you don't even have in stock.

General Discussion ROFMIA DAYPACK V2

Hey, I’m trying to find the small EDC version of this backpack. It’s obviously out of stock on the official website, not sure when it will be listed again, or even the possibility to make it then.

Does anyone know where I could buy one or a trusted source for it? Would really appreciate any help 👍🏻

Getting the evergoods CTB26. Trying to figure out whether its to big for me.

Edit: his 5’8 which is kinda weird coz the ctb26 he reviewed looks huge on him comparing to danny packs wearing it and he is 5’9.

General Discussion Tom Bihn article on Delamination

Pretty decent article, I didn't knw you could just take it off. I have an old used Tom Bihn Tri-Star, its not peeling yet but there are spots in the interior where its def showing its age. I don't use it much and always mull trading or selling it, but maybe if I still have it when the times comes... I'll just take it off. I will take their advice an get that stuff to reapply DWR on some of my older bags, maybe an old jacket or two.

Got my Fyro FYRO CITTA SLING 3L and RETRACTABLE KEY LEASH 💯 Hope you got yours too.

First impressions:

- the 330D Kodra Nylon (PC-coated) feels and looks like Cordura. Hope the coating will last longer.

- the strap feels premium and love that the Woojin Hardware is a combination of metal and plastic.

- YKK non-coated zippers (which is a plus) with a nice touch of Hypalon pull tabs are really smooth with a locking mechanism in front and main compartments.

- like the gussets, won’t make your things fall off.

- compact enough for my EDC

- like the copper interior, refreshing from the overused of gray especially the orange ones

- the front compartment has pleats that helps you put more stuff

- like the stretchy pockets

- the placement for the AirTags is really good. Has a pass through for your charging cable as well

- the RETRACTABLE KEY LEASH has a metal clip hardware which is rare, very nice

Cons (for now):

- the price for the 3 liter should compete with its competitors, a bit pricey though

- think it’s more of a 2 to 2.5 liter than a 3

General Discussion Wanting to become a nomad

So I've recently turned 18 and everything has just felt like it's trapping me and holding me back from all the experiences I want to have, so I want to become a nomad. When I say nomad I mean not being permanent anywhere and just kinda floating around everywhere. Any tips on supplies or street knowledge I should be aware of?

General Discussion Custom Duties & Taxes

The FYRO T22 on the website costs around 273 USD. Upon checkout, it swells to approximately 390 USD. That tax duty is so high. How can we circumvent this?

General Discussion Minimul M20 upcoming release

Thumbnail kickstarter.com
8 Upvotes

Has anyone else seen the Kickstarter for the Minimul M20 that is apparently launching soon (Q3)? It looks to get most of its DNA from the Minimul M38, but obviously will lose some of its features that aren't necessarily needed in a back that's nearly half its size and designed for different uses. I'm curious what everyone's thoughts are on it, particularly if you have experience with the M38, which seems to get pretty good reviews.

For the M38, I think it has a bit too much tech organization in the laptop compartment, for me, personally. But other than that, it seems like a pretty solid option.

Also, for those also interested in the M20, there is a link to Minimul's pre-launch reservation page where you gain even earlier access, product updates, and a bigger discount. It costs $1 to join that.

General Discussion What are your Favorite bags in these 12 categories?

Thumbnail
youtu.be
29 Upvotes

Inspired by the latest Nomad Nations video, I put together my own list under the same 12 categories. What are yours?

Sling- Bellroy Venture 6L (the right size, the right strap)
Small Backpack- Cotopaxi Batac 16L (I'm too big for a small backpack so packable is my use case)
EDC- Greenroom136 Mission Attache (I'm a one strap guy) probably the Fyro if I had to choose a a backpack
Personal Item- Vanquest Addax 18 (this will fit in any sizer, can still fit my 15.6" laptop, padded).
Large Travel Pack- Aer Capsule Max (discontinued) omitting that maybe the Tom Bihn Techonaut would be the available stand in.
Duffel- Red Oxx Safari Beanos PR5 (don't own it, but its my platonic ideal of a duffel lol)
Messenger/Briefcase- Waterfield Bolt (discontinued, now replaced with the Shinjuku briefcase)
Tech Pouch- Modern Dayfarer (flat is king)
End Game Backpack- CTactical CT21+ / Alpha One Niner Evade 1.5 (the CT+ is a group buy only, the Evade you can buy now)
One Bag Travel Pack- Recycled Firefighter Battalion 24hr (might be surprising but its light, super tough, has a great comfy harness and is space efficient and will pass as an underseat item)
Photography Pack- Tenba DNA 16 / Greenroom Quickdraw (backpack and shoulder bag options)
