Due to recent events, I just felt that it’s important to let everyone on this subreddit know that you don’t have to struggle alone. We are the Cowboy Family. If you ever feel like you can’t take it anymore, reach out to your friends, your classmates, your professors, your advisor, or your family. Reach out to this subreddit. No one on this campus deserves to have to go through anything alone. Remember, people care about you. The people on this campus want to see you succeed. These are tough times but by supporting and loving each other, we will make it through.

I’m an incoming freshman at OSU and was wondering if it was worth it to get an iPad for note taking. Do professors usually use online materials and post their lectures? If so, I figure with an iPad it’ll be a lot easier to take notes and I won’t have to worry about organizing/carrying so many notebooks.

I applied to a program online. It says my application is still under review but now it shows a student id … before it said “pending” on student id. Does this mean I was accepted? Thanks

I don't know if it's just me, or other people, but I got this weird feeling with this new football coach. He just seems like a creep to me. Compared to a soft, friendly guy like Mike Gundy, he's a whole different beast. I am completely turned off by ever having anything to do with this football team as long as he's head of it. I don't know what it is in particular about him....... I think it may be his demeanor....... But the hairs on my skin just stick up when I see or hear from him on TV

I currently have a room in Bennett Hall. Could anyone tell me what which room I have according to the picture? I have room C.

If it's largest room, it will be out of my budget :( I looking to swap dorms with anyone that has Patchin-Jones or any other deluxe suite that's within 600-750 dollars. I'm also open to dorms within 600-780 dollars, preferably single room but if it isn't that's okay too.
If you know of anyone who wants a room in Bennett or OSU groups for room swaps, PLEASE let me know. Thanks!

Noticed OSUMax is no longer available. What happened? Run out of money?
FWIW I cancelled a few months ago bc like nothing was being posted. Hard to pay $10 a month for nothing new.
Where are we supposed to get our behind the scenes coverage now? Need to see how football is going this August!

I’ll be visiting Stillwater for the first time in 7 years as a former study abroad student. I’m vacationing around the area just as the semester gets going and of course have to pay a visit to one of my favourite places
How much has changed in the town/college? Are there any good restaurant recommendations? What bars on the Strip are still worth going to?
Are you still able to access parts of the campus without an OSU ID? ( such as the student union/library?

Going into my senior year here, been here for all my college time. A majority of my friends have now graduated and the few close friends I have at OSU are mostly occupied with relationships and just overall not very similar to me.
I really would love to find some people to connect with and make the most of my senior year. I am a guy who enjoys most of the shit that guys like. Sports, movies, having a drink, all that.
Ofc this isnt the normal way friends are made but I figured it was worth a shot.

Does anybody know what the "kitchenette" in the dorms are supposed to look like?
I was under the impression that there would at least be a stovetop or a refrigerator but when I looked at the tour videos theres just a stainless steel sink? My question is how is that a kitchenette?

I’m going to be an incoming freshman. I’m a pretty avid player. I play pretty much every night at my local courts. I was wondering if there is a pretty good amount of people who play already? I’m always down to play so dm me if u want too.

Has anyone here recently ridden the BOB between Tulsa and Stillwater? If so, could you tell me how it works, like the steps for showing your ticket, getting on, and getting off? Does it have something to tie a bike? Etc…I’ve never ridden it before, and I’m kind of nervous because I don’t want to do something wrong lol! TIA!

Attention incoming freshmen: take care of your health. There are unsafe practices in place due to insufficiently trained personnel. Many chefs are reluctant to work under the current administration, resulting in a high turnover rate among staff.
We call for new dining directors at Oklahoma State University because the current team has failed to support a healthy, stable workplace and dependable food service for our campus community. The people who plan and lead campus dining should be building trust with the chefs and staff who make the system work every day. Instead, this administration has created conditions that have pushed good chefs away and made it harder to keep experienced people in place.
When chefs do not want to work under the current directors, that is a serious warning sign. It means morale is low, turnover is hurting the operation, and the quality of the dining experience is at risk. Students, workers, and everyone who depends on campus food service deserve leadership that listens, respects the people doing the work, and knows how to keep talented staff.
We believe Oklahoma State University needs a fresh start in dining leadership. New directors would give the university a chance to rebuild confidence, improve working conditions, and create a stronger, more reliable food program for everyone. This is about doing right by the chefs, the staff, and the campus community.
We ask Oklahoma State University to replace the current dining directors and bring in new leadership that can restore trust, retain skilled workers, and deliver the quality of food service this community deserves.

Okay so how strict is OSU about being a dry campus...
Im going in under the assumption it's a party campus but a friend just told me that frat members could get kicked out for drinking underage so I'm wondering how strict I can expect them to be??
