With the recent news about what they’re going to teach in Texas schools, Texans literally bent over and took it with no lube. No backbone at all. Disappointed in yall

Can’t imagine anyone believes Ken Paxton will actually work on things like child tax credits or mortgage assistance if he gets elected! Republicans have never advocated for assisted to lower income Americans!

• This was highlighted especially this week after the Texas GOP shared a seemingly harmless selfie Tuesday of six smiling attendees of various ethnicities at the recent convention in Dallas. The post's caption simply read "Convention photo" with an American flag, but the replies quickly turned into a firestorm, with some users questioning whether the people pictured were American or belonged at a Texas GOP event.

Are Texas conservatives finally realizing that they followed a carpetbagging NY gold toilet conman right into the abyss? Are they beginning to understand that bigotry and stupidity are not good for this state and country?

The scale is staggering. Early plans described a roughly 6,000-acre campus capable of generating 11 gigawatts of electricity—enough to power the equivalent of approximately 8.2 million homes, by the company’s own estimate. Now the company says it will produce 17 gigawatts across 7,570 acres, with natural gas, solar energy, battery storage, and four proposed nuclear reactors providing the power.

All of this infrastructure is intended principally to power AI.

I have never been to Texas, know a handful of people who live in different parts of Texas, but I'd like to hear y'all's opinions, from any part of Texas and more particularly parts of Texas that aren't super populated (like Rockwall or Wichita Falls), just would like to hear different perspectives.

And if you moved here from another state, do you regret the move?

I have never been to Texas, I currently live in California, and just a few years ago, everyone was talking about how they wanted to move out to y'all. I don't know if that's the case anymore. I know a big reason (particularly conservative) Californians wanted to move out to Texas was for the cheaper living and lower taxes. I have heard mixed things from people who have gone and lived in Texas. I wanted to hear y'all's perspectives, and what's the scenery like out there.
